I'm trying to create a caption that has the word "find" in it. Much to my bewilderment, the caption disappears every time I type the letter combination "fi." It is kind of hilarious. It also does it when I type "fl." It doesn't do it with any other combination of letters I'm aware of, as I tried following "f" with every other letter in the alphabet, and the caption does not disappear. It also does not disappear when I type a capital "F." Truly baffling. Overall, the text functions in this program are not good. This is not the only bug but currently the most troublesome one for me. 

Ok so my normal boot time would be About 3 sec but when installed adobe it took 30 sec - 1 min ! Hello guys, Novice user here. Recently I Started using this new awesome template in Premiere, but i could not write any arabic or persian (farsi) text because all the texts would be backward. any solutions? I searched online and came across this technique to load the .mogrt file in after effects but i could not correct it. Thank you all alot 

I am using the 2025 update windows 11 home As of today I can no longer drag and drop any video transitions.  When grab them and drag them over the interface between clips, the pointer just stays an arrow. it doesn't even act like I am trying to insert a transition at all. The layer is activated. I'm not getting any error about handles or anything else at all. just doesn't do anything. When I try to apply audio transitions it works as expected.  I tried to set a video transition as a default transition, highlight the two clips, and hit ctrl D, and this does nothing as well.  I have uninstalled premier pro and reinstalled and it still has this problem. it's live video transitions don't exist at all.  it worked fine yesterday and I don't think I have changed any settings since then.

Hey, so when I'm changing effects for elements of a video such as (but not limited to) opacity, gradient wipe, invert color, position, scale, rotation, etc,  (seems to be all effects in general) the playback window glithces out and sorta zooms in a lot to a certain corner? I'm not quite sure how to describe, so there is a reddit post I have made with a video which demonstrates the bug. Hiya!Thought I'd share this in case anyone else is seeing similar or has ideas on how to work round this please?I've been getting freezes and kernel panics while runningPremiere Pro 23.4.0on MacOS Ventura 13.2on a 16" Intel i9 2019 Macbook Pro It can happen at any time while using Premiere Pro, but most often while dragging something. Be it a crossfade handle on an audio clip, or changing the position of a graphic in the progam monitor with its Motion controls selected. How it looks:Just after dragging something, the app stops being responsive but the mouse still movesI can't click anything outside of the app including Dock and Menu BarI can't CMD+Tab or CMD+Opt+Esc to open the force quit menuThe mouse disappears, and the clock stops counting on the menu barA minute or so later, the computer screen goes black or white noiseThe computer restarts and sometimes shows a "your computer restarted because of a problem" message. Debug:Looking in Console, I can see Crash Reports

Older system is maxed out at Monerey 12.7.6It got wiped and is put back onto use.CC only says "not compatable" but will not show older versions. 

I'm taking the LinkedIn Premiere Pro class (Premiere Pro 2025 Essential Training) and when I load a clip into the timeline, this happens. At first there is only one clip. When I drag it into the timeline, it comes across as a single long clip, which is not what is shown in the video. It creates a second clip and when I drag that into the timeline window, I does indeed look like what is shown in the lesson. Any ideas?ThanksMarek 

I have uploaded my video to Premiere Pro and edited it accordingly, however, when i press play it continues to play after the film has finished, showing just a black screen for about 10minutes. Sorry i know this is a very basic question, but i don't know how to add an end point to the video so it finishes at the end of my film, rather than keep running. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks 

Hi! I don't know if its a bug or not/ problem with the app or problem with my pc. Yesterday premiere pro worked perfectly fine, smooth, no problem with it. Today when i i started to work on my project i noticed it being very very slow. It had moments before where where it would be slow for a few seconds, but thats it, nothing to worry about. But now its different. I can see what im working on (in the preview tab) and then it goes black, the audio still works fine for a few more seconds and then its starting to distort. Also if i press space to stop the clip, it stops after 4-5 seconds. If i close and reopen premiere pro everything is fine for few seconds and then it happens again. I tried to export the project (40 seconds in total and its not complicated, few cuts, few subtitles, usually it took about 3-5 mins to render) and it takes 15-20 mins for it to render.Is there something i can do ? I haven't made any change in settings.I dont know if you need it but here are my specs:Windows 1

I need to switch my entire project to a larger hard drive. Is there a way within the premier project to switch target disk for all the media, or do I need to re link each individual clip?Thank you for your time.

Hi - having a nightmare with some MOGRTs imported to Essential Graphics, which are losing their embedded video asset and just showing colour bars instead.  Any ideas why this might happen? Files are coming from my designer who is on AE 2021.  I have both PR 2019 and PR 2022 installed (on Mac Mini M1) and both are doing the same behaviour (the PR 2019 ones are a version he has down-saved for that version). 

Hello everyone! I edit all my videos using Adobe Premiere, but I’ve noticed that the bigger my edits get, the heavier they become for my computer. This forces me to create new projects to continue editing from where I left off, avoiding issues like stuttering and slow playback. I’m currently using a computer with a Ryzen 5 3600, 2x16GB of RAM at 3000MHz, and an RTX 2060 Super, all running on an NVMe SSD. I’ve been thinking a lot about upgrading my PC, but I’m unsure about the best path forward. Should I invest in one of the best AM4 processors from AMD, like a Ryzen 9 5900XT, or go for something more entry-level from the newer generation, like the Ryzen 5 9600X?Also, I’m not fluent in English, so I hope my message is clear to understand! 

Hello, I am a complete beginner to Premiere Pro and cannot find anything on the forum on my question (most likely because I do not know the correct words). There is a video to which I want to add a few fire sparks and a bit of smoke coming from the bottom and moving upwards. I have a bit of experience with Photoshop and think of it like laying an additional layer with the effects above the original video in Premiere Pro.  I already used Google, but it confused me even more.1. Do I need to learn how to create these effects in AfterEffects and only then can use them in Premiere Pro?2. It seems some people sell these effects, but I do not understand what the difference between an element and a plugin is. And is that a good solution overall?3. What would you recommend is the best way for a beginner to get this kind of effect? I hope you can help me out and it is understandable. I was having issues with having audible pops at audio cuts on my timeline.  I would start from the begining and hear the pop, however when I would start playback right before where the issue was happening the pop would disappear.  Regardless it would render with the pop still in.  So I went through some troubleshooting and figured out the "Dynamics" plug-in on the track mixer was the culprit.  I ended up instead using only the Tube Modeled compressor with no issues on playback or the final render.  I likely just will not be using the Dynamics plug-in moving forward unless it's fixed at some point as I have always seemed to have issues with random pops and assume this is likely the issue. Premiere Pro Version: 24.6.3MacBook Pro - MacOS Sonoma 14.4Intermitant issue, track has EQ>Dynamics>Tube Modeled Compressor>Desser (Fix was just not using the Dynamics plug in and only rely on Tube Compressor) 

I am on a Macbook pro running Apple M1 Max on Ventura 13.2.1 software.  Voice Over recording does not work correctly!  When i attempt to record voice overs, the recording does not take.  In order for me to get it to work.  I must save the project.  Export the project.  Next Close Premiere Pro.  After I open Premiere Pro, it will begin to accept the recordings. Why must I go thru these steps to get it to work? 

I don't know when this happened, but it had to be within this year. And, yes, I did JUST update to the latest version to check if that was the issue - it was not. Far as I can tell, the issue is only occurring with files I have: ripped from old DVDs and then converted to mp4s in handbrake.  The videos played perfectly fine in VLC and have ALWAYS worked in premiere. Nothing else seems to cause this issue. The issue is premiere is: 1) Misreading the length of the original file (ex: the file is 44:23 long, but premiere is now reading it as 37:45).2) Because of the above, the mark in and mark out points are not reading correctly in the timeline. See below examples where I have the small clip on the left of the second line marking where the clip SHOULD be and the small clip on the right where it CURRENTLY is showing up:  As you can see in the second, the way the program is currently reading the clip, the mark in and out point is beyond the length of the origina

Assuming this is a bug, but when I'm editing clips inside of a multicam sequence and try to undo an action, it will not take into consideration any of the edits inside the multicam for undo-ing. It seems to occur most often when cutting clips and its inconsistent in terms of when it happens. Here's a specific example: In a normal sequence, I hide a video layer from view. Then, inside of a multicam sequence I make a series of cuts to the videos within. I accidentally make a cut where I don't want one and hit ctrl + z. Instead of undo-ing the most recent cuts/edits, the hidden layer from earlier unhides itself. Any ideas/possible solutions?  

Hi, I hope that you are well.I'm doing this great arts series called Brillo Vox and somehow I have done something so that my LUT's dont stick.I work on each look and save, but when I start the project up again all LUTs/Looks are gone ? I think it has to do with me having added Auto-Refresh in Input LUT's by misstake, could that be it ?If so, how do I get rid of this setting ? Best Jorgen

When I make a color adjustment through Lumetri Color, I do not see it reflected in the Program Monitor in real-time. I have to render after each adjustment to see the change. Please fix this. 

Ever since the 2025 update I've been having a really irritating sound glitch. Essentially, when i play the play head on the timeline (it doesn't matter where) and press play, the sound stutters for the first second or so. It's a sort of buffering stutter, and then it smooths out and plays normally after that. I have been working on short audio clips that are only a few seconds long, and little to no video besides a simple black color matte. So I'm definitely not overloading any of premiere's capabilities. I've been having to work on my projects with the everything shifted over to the right a bit so that I can start playing it and have the sound issue fix itself before the playhead reaches the thing i actually need to hear. It's super annoying. It's been happening for a few days now, and my PC have been turned off and on , and premiere has been fully closed and reopened multiple times since the issue started. I don't know if it's a bug, or some new setting I have to turn

Running PP 2019 CC 13.0.3 & just started noticing when color correcting footage - the last frame of each clip doesn't show the color correction applied (whether directly to the clip or on an adjustment layer) on the timeline.It does export fine, but it's strange to watch playback as every clip, when it gets to the last frame it does not show the color correction applied. Is this a bug or a setting, if anyone is familiar or also experiencing this issue? Today is the first time I've seen it happening after updating to 13.0.3

Why ADOBE, WHY?Having been forced to return to the use of premiere for work reasons for some time now, I continue to ask myself question after question...In the latest updates you have moved windows then put them back where they were and then continuously moved and changed everything and more...Not to mention the thousand unsolved problems, the workspaces that never and I mean never remain in their place despite constantly restoring and uninstalling the program (because the only solution you always give is this: "uninstall and reinstall"...)Files that are not loaded into the project even though they are where they were taken...It's appalling that for the price of your Suite you can't have a program that works as God commandsWhat remains is a heavy, cumbersome program that is lost in a glass of water for many things and which have never been fixed...When, I would like to know, will you decide to fix it once and for all without all these malfunctions......

Is there any way to make sure that Enhanced Speech saves its data in the project?   I waited HOURS for a long sequence to process the enhanced speech audio, then when I saved the project and reloaded it, it has to do it all over again.   I'm furious.
