There seems to be a bug in Prem where when I apply a mask on opacity, and feather the edges, it decides to also feather the sequence boundary. This should not be the implementation. The mask boundary should be the only edges that are feathered. Is there a setting to fix this?In the attached screenshot, I what the feather on the upper edge of the mask only, not the left and right sides of the composition/sequence bounds.
Situation: I'm given edited videos exported in mxf with Upper First field order.Task: after I re-edit these videos I have to export them in 2 formats - mp4\h264 with No Fields and mxf with Upper First. My workflow: before editing I manually select all the mxfs go to Interpret footage and set there forced No fields. Then I edit and export in mp4 and mxf with no further change.Nuances: setting No fields in the sequence settings or in the Field order menu in the Export tab DOES NOT change the field order for the resulting videos, so an mp4 goes out with jagged edges and other interlacing artifacts. My question is: what would be your workflow in that case, and should I come up with the export differently for both mxf and mp4, for instance, should I set the Interpret footage back to Upper first before exporting to mxf?
This option used to be in the Opacity menu. In the new mask, the circle looks like this.) Are you going to keep making fun of us for a long time?
Hello,I am preparing to publish a UXP plugin for Premiere Pro (pure UXP, no native code) in the Creative Cloud Marketplace as a MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION. I have a few questions before I submit it:1. When a user cancels the subscription or it lapses, what happens to a plugin that is already installed? Does Creative Cloud Desktop disable or remove it automatically, or does it keep working until the user uninstalls it?2. Is there a way for the plugin itself to know whether the current Adobe ID still has an active subscription (an entitlement API)? If not, is the recommended approach to use license keys distributed through FastSpring?3. Can a subscription listing offer a free trial period? If so, how many days, and how is it set up?4. How are the monthly price and currencies set (price tiers, regional pricing), and can I change the price after publishing without a new review?5. The listing guide has no field to choose supported operating systems. My plugin is pure JavaScript/HTML but I have on
Why, when I create a mask using the Mask tool in Premiere Pro 26, does the mask path not appear on the image? I can create the mask, but the outline/path is invisible, so I can't properly draw or adjust it.Has anyone experienced this issue or knows how to fix it?thks
For some reason, the Project panel for one of my Premiere projects has completely vanished and I can’t find it anywhere. The Project panel tabs for other projects open and display as usual, but not the panel for this particular project. So, now I can’t access the bins, clips, compositions and other elements that are contained in this project. What happened and how should I restore this project’s panel?
I’m running into serious issues with my Adobe Premiere workflow, and can’t seem to find any solutions for it.Whenever I work on anything in Adobe Premiere Pro on my iMac, after a while I’ll suddenly get the spinning wheel of death and my computer will freeze. The spinning wheel will eventually disappear after 4-5 minutes, but the computer will remain frozen and eventually shut down after another 4-5 minutes. No specific action seems to prompt this, nor does it occur after any specific span of time. It appears completely random when the crash occurs. This happens with multiple projects of varying length (files sizes are between 268 KB and 1.9 MB.The system I’m running on:iMac Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2020Processor: 3.8 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i7Graphics: AMD Radeon Pro 5700 XT 16 GBMemory: 40 GB 2133 MHz DDR4Startup Disk: Macintosh HDmacOS: Sonoma 14.6.1Storage Space: 572.63 GB available of 1 TB.I started encountering this when working on Adobe 2024, and upgraded to the latest version, 26.5.1.
I know there are other threads about this issue but none of the suggestions seem to work and there are a few more variables with my issue. I am cutting a feature length doc with another editor. We are both working on identical M2 Mac Studios, Premiere 25.6.6, Sonoma 14.8.7 and all the media is stored on a Qnap server. We’re working in a Production workflow and all of the Premiere settings are identical except for key commands and workspaces. One computer is working flawlessly and the other is basically a paperweight at this point. Any attempt at playback or render ends with the Mac OS force quit window opening saying the system has run out of application memory. We’ve emptied the cache, reset preferences...done everything we’ve seen suggested and we will get a temporary reprieve but it doesn’t last long. We’re working with Sony camera footage, 8K drone footage proxied to 4K ProRes Proxy, and archival material proxied to ProRes Proxy. This workflow and setup with hardware and med
I’ve seen the helpful tutorials for working in color mode, but I want to understand it better in the context of the overall workflow - if there are any substantive changes that I should be aware of. Thanks.
Prologue:The Report Bug option was seemingly unavailable because it wouldn’t load even when I signed in to Chrome via Incognito mode with no browser extensions active and the cookies deleted. So now I am forced to report the bug in Ask A Question section of the community. My apologizes. This same issue was happening in an early post that was “resolved” with no actual answer. So I am reposting it here WITH SOME EXTRA CHANGES concerning my own problems with the feature including screenshots.Title:Transcription fails on all projects after latest Premiere Pro update (worked perfectly before)Issue:The transcription (speech-to-text) feature is no longer working at all after updating to the latest version of Premiere Pro.I have been using Premiere Pro for many years, and the transcription feature has always worked reliably for me in previous versions. I have never had any issues with it until now. It is really wasting my time!Since updating, transcription fails every single time across all proj

Using Ultra Key in Premiere, I see very brief, occasional white sparkles in various places in the black robe the actor is wearing. I have highlights at zero and Pedestal at 100. No other control seems to change or eliminate them.
Adobe Premiere Pro 26.5.2 – Incorrect Spanish Speech-to-Text TranscriptionIssueAdobe Premiere Pro generates severely inaccurate speech-to-text transcriptions in Spanish. Instead of recognizing the spoken dialogue correctly, it produces isolated syllables, unrelated words, and incomplete phrases that do not match the audio. This issue started recently. Previously, transcription worked correctly, but now the problem occurs whenever I try to transcribe a video.Steps to Reproduce Open Adobe Premiere Pro 26.5.2. Import a video containing spoken dialogue in Spanish. Open the Text panel and select the Transcript tab. Select Spanish as the transcription language. Start the transcription process and wait for it to finish. Review the generated transcript. Delete the incorrect transcript and try transcribing the same video again. Repeat the process with different videos and projects. Expected ResultPremiere Pro should accurately recognize the spoken Spanish dialogue and generate a co
When I put footage into Premiere 2026, and generate captions it is always NEVER aligned with the footage, either shifted ahead or behind, which is a HUGE timewaster for myself. This happens with captions, but even when I turn the captions into Graphics, it’s the same issue. Not sure if there is a fix for this, captions to be more aligned, or something that’ll save me way more time than fixing 200+ captions on a video..
Help!!! I’ve been creating proxies for a project for the past few days and everything has been fine. I recently had to convert my project into a Team Project. Now, when I start to create proxies for the new footage coming in, I get these messages for most of the clips. However, the proxies are still being created and playback fine. I have no idea what to do or why this is happening. Please help!
Hi all - When I double click on the sequence name the timeline increase in size but I cannot see the toolbar to make edits. Is this something that I can change and if so how do I do it. I have attached an image with an arrow. Thank you. Paul
Hi everyone, I wanted to gauge community interest and pitch a feature request regarding captioning and text animations. While automated transcription is becoming standard across NLEs, the workflow for creating high-engagement, dynamic social content (e.g., word-by-word active highlighting, pop-in text, kinetic typography) still requires significant manual setup or third-party tools/plugins. Native AI Word-Level Captions: Automated speech-to-text that generates individual, timed word clips or word-highlighting tracks natively on the timeline rather than static multi-line subtitle blocks. Preset Kinetic & Animated Titles: Drag-and-drop animated caption styles (e.g., pop, slide, stroke highlight, karaoke-style glow) that can be applied globally to an entire caption track while remaining fully customizable in terms of font, tracking, and styling. Non-Destructive Native Workflow: Having these rendered as fully editable, non-baked native title/caption nodes so timing and typos can be
I'm unsure when this started, and I've made sure to update my software just in case, but I can no longer find any file by searching within the bins in my projects. This doesn't happen with effects, but purely in the project window. It's really slowing down my workflow for searching for a quick graphic or music file during an edit. I can't find anything on google or this forum that helps with this problem.I've tried clearing the cache, updating the software. It just won't come back and I need to try and get it fixed ASAP if I can.Any help would be reatly appreciated. To illustrate the problem, I attach 2 photos. One with an unfiltered bin showing a file with "radio" clearly present in the name, then with the word being searched and it showing none of the files, even though several radio imaging mp3s contain this word.
How can I create a library of music I’ve selected in Premiere that opens with every project—similar to the "Power Bin" in DaVinci Resolve? The Power Bin is really cool; you can see waveforms for every track or sound clip, and it loads automatically in every project. Not to mention that you can tag frequently used songs to find them quickly, add markers, and color-code clips. I’m wondering if there’s a way to do this in Adobe Premiere, or if maybe I’m just missing a feature. Thanks!
Premiere Pro / Media Encoder 2026 – Significantly Slower Export TimesExporting in Premiere Pro and Media Encoder 2026 takes up to four times longer than it did in the 2025 versions. We reinstalled the 2025 versions in an attempt to restore the previous export speeds, but the problem persists. Exporting is still significantly slower than before.Additionally, many exports fail without successfully completing. We have also noticed that projects take longer to open and that video files take longer to load when opening a project.Sometimes, failed exports are not recorded in the Media Encoder log. Instead, Media Encoder simply shuts down without displaying an error message or warning.Audio also needs to be re-rendered every time we export. We would like to understand what is causing these performance issues and how to resolve them. Premiere Version: 26.5.2 (but doesn’t realy matter at the moment ) Operating System: Windows 11 pro v: 24H2 Processor: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900K (3.00 G
So this is a strange one. Doing color correction through another vendor (who is using baselight), we found his exported files don’t match our source. But only by one frame. Like if you look at the export from him at the timecode 1:00:00:00, it would match the image of the source file at 00:59:59:22. But that would be the case for every clip. The image would be offset by one frame. To make matters more strange, it looked like things were even further off on some clips (we figured out something else going on there and solved it), so we had him re-export everything with a few seconds of handles so we could adjust things and make them match. On that batch, only one file was off. Everything else matched perfectly. But this apparently isn’t isolated to that vendor or baselight. Because we have had the same (or at least very similar) results with another project going through Resolve.I understand if you don’t have frame rates matching between source media and sequence, or if you’re time remappi
I'm having an issue where the audio in my timeline is not playing, but when I click it to view in the source monitor, it plays just fine.As the video plays through the timeline, my levels do not jump at all.Does anyone know how to fix this? I save my preset settings, but when I load them, the window layout gets messed up—some windows just don’t show up, and my workspace is in chaos. The saving feature isn’t working properly; when I try to load the preset, Adobe rearranges the windows however it wants and closes many tabs. Where’s the logic in that? Who let this happen? I thought that if I saved the window layout, I’d be able to restore it when I restart. Isn’t that how it’s supposed to work? Why close windows or hide them completely? There’s no logic to this.
I seem to be unable to save my intro sequence as a template; I've made sure that the sequence is selected, but the option to export remains grayed out. I'd LOVE not to have to recreate this every time!
