Looking for a Pr glossary to help learning Pr 

I've had an issue with audio glitches in my exports for the past 1-2 years, which I believe is caused by an audio cross dissolve either being 1 frame long or being TOO long. I'll edit in a 23.98 sequence, and I'll put a cut on my music (or dialogue) and then put a cross dissolve on that cut and change volume levels on both sides of the clip because I'm not a big fan of using keyframes, i find them a lot tougher to move around with easy unless like a cut. Then I nest that 23.98 sequence in a 59.94 sequence for export (the client broadcasts at 59.94. and no I will not be editing natively in a 59.94 sequence. Do not suggest that, that will not be happening.)  After the 23.98 sequence is nested in the 59.94 sequence, I export as MXF OP1A. once the export is done, I take that MFX back into premiere to QC it. And as I'm playing it down, I can hear parts of the music that sound wrong like they were cut bad or something. So I'll go to that point in the timeline and it sounds fine but that

Cada vez que abro un proyecto y pongo un video para editar, la línea de tiempo no avanza mientras se reproduce el video de la edición. Las veces que avanza, lo hace como lagueado, con saltos. Antes no pasaba hasta la última actualización de adobe. Después de trabajar varias horas se soluciona y funciona normal. Me pueden ayudar a solucionar este bug??Adjunto video del error

Hi everyone,I've been facing a huge challenge lately which is that all my imports are out of sync even in the Source Monitor. The original files doesn't have any error and they play correctly in Windows Media, but as soon as I import them to PP they get out of sync and it is a pain in the head to re-sync them all. Even in the Source Monitor they are out of sync which is really weird. It would be a great help if somebody knows how to fix this problem.Cheers

all the time when i unplug my second monitor from my laptop premiere pro or ae or even lightroom is not monitoring what am i doing in app and its happening in all of the adobe programs i need to use my laptop outside and there is no second monitor i can use so i need to use my laptop on is own but when im opening premeiere when second screen is unpluged program monitor is not working and i cant see my video or project and the video im making

I attempted to create a project on an external drive on my 2021 M1 iMac that's running Sequoia. During project creation premiere pro 25 crashed. I also downloaded an earlier version of Premier, which won't open at all. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and removed some plug-ins that I'm no longer using. But I'm still having issues. I have a 2023 MacBook Pro that's also running sequoia that's running premier 25 more or less fine. I cannot figure out what the issue is.

Premiere Pro keeps crashing immediatedly after applying warp stabilizer to ProResHQ clips. I've tried to nest the clip, I've tried to delete unused media cache and still no help. My only workaround is to render the ProResHQ clip by itself without warp stabilizer into a .mov or .mp4 file. Then and only then can I apply warp stabilizer without it crashing. Unfortunately there is a loss of quality in this process and I didn't have this issue until I updated to 2024 and 2025 versions.Any help is much appreciated.

I have problems opening projects since I upgraded to version 2025 of premiere by, it tells me to update but I'm already on the latest version.In the Premiere Pro Beta version, the program window is blank.NVIDIA GFORCE RTX 4090AMD RYZEB 9 7900X3D 12-CORE  

There are three drop down menus for the input lut in Premiere Pro (v.25) in the Lumetri color now:the edit tab of the clip in the current sequence:the source clip tab:... and the Settings tab:... so you can actually apply an input lut to a single clip three times. I know the difference between the Source and Sequence Lumetri color settings, but they make sence when you speak of the color, not the INPUT LUT.Isn't the input lut - being the first and the only lut that should go before any color corrections - the essence of the"input"? Why are there now three tabs one can apply an input lut on? What is the correlation between them, which one goes the first if the three are applied at once? Won't they conflict with each other? Where should one apply an input lut, on which tab, if one wants it to be the input, that is the first one and in a single copy? Won't there be a conflict with the color settings if there's on input lut in in of this tabs and the color correction done on the other?

A question I couldn't answer to one of my colleagues - what's the point of black video and transparent video now in Premiere Pro v.25? The point is that in versions like 23.x there still were the effects that now have been removed like grid, circle, ellipse, checkerboard that worked some on the transparent video and some on the black one. So what is the point in having those?The black video: to create cinematic black bars? There's color matte and EG-layers for that. To apply an effect that demands a black background like Lens flare? You can apply it to your video layer directly (and it doesn't load your system more than when you apply it on a black video - I checked it). To make parts of the video appear black? You can cut parts of the video or apply the Color matte.The transparent video: to create some kind of a timer or apply effects that need transparency? There's the adjustment layer for that. To apply paint bucket? Well there's none anymore.So what's the point in them now?&nb

Hi,I notice some yellow spots and streaks in some parts of my videos (see photo attached). They're very visible when I stop the video, but almost impreceptible when I watch it. What could this be? They are not present in the original video.The video is shot and edited on a Mac at 25fps.Thank you!Francesco

In the latest version of Premiere Pro, I can no longer add, remove or anything like that in the Editing workspace (e.g. by double-clicking). I now have to go to the Essentials workspace every time to add, remove folders/documents/footage, etc. So there is a Media Browser at the bottom left of the screen in the Editing workspace, but I can only view folders there (and not edit them). In the version of Premiere Pro 2024 (before the recent update) this was the case. Can this still be adjusted in the latest version or do I have to switch between the Editing and Essentials workspace every time? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I'm working with files created by another editor. He created an .aegraphic file that if I just import normally into Premiere shows up as nothing. It won't open in After Effects and after reading more about this file type it seems to be a converted .morgt file that works well when sharing projects and needs to be opened though the Essential Graphics panel. But when I go to browse to add a file through Essential Graphics it only lets me choose .morgt files - the .aegraphic file is greyed out (see screenshot). File I want to import is called Highlight_Rectangle.aegraphicThe Essential Graphics browser window only gives me the option for .morgt files on that drop down menu. Anyone have any idea how I can open this thing? Premiere Productions.  I'm doing some re-orgnization (in the project, not at OS level).   I've emptied out a group of nested folders.   They are empty, no clips no sequences.   But when I try to delete teh top leve folder I am given the "…contains clip references…" warning (see below).  I've narrowed it down to two folders, but they seem to be empty folders just like the others. Why the warning?  Should I ignore it an just delete the folders? 

After I apply the Pitch Shifter effect to my audio, the control panel pops up every time I move my playhead over the clip. It's driving me insane. Help.

Hi, I am facing this issue of premier-pro video export for WhatsApp broadcast, I tried exporting composition to H.264 codec Audio setting AAC Preset : Match source High Bitrate but after exporting to WhatsApp device only video and background music is playing, but actual person voice go missing.. when i connect the headphone to mobile i can hear it in the headphone. but not able to hear it in a mobile speaker... I have checked it on 5-7 different devices.. but still, the same issue exists.How to fix this issue, kindly need assistance.

HelloI have reels in the timeline.I am working on synching the audios to the reels.I just made a sync, then made a cut, then did a link suddenlythe audio track area went brown and the reels went black. To the left andright of this section the reels and audio is as it should be.I don't know how to return this section in the timeline back to viewablereels and the audio 'green'.Let me know what to do?Thanks 

Hola amigos. Reciuentemente tuve un problema con el mezclador de pista de audio y es que cada vez que inicio un proyecto e introduzco un audio en la linea de tiempo, este sólo se escucha de un lado. Entonces, tengo que ir manualmente al mezclador de pista de audio y hacer que se escuche en ambos lados.  No importa si es un proyecto nuevo, se escucha en un solo lado.

My premiere pro keeps crashing. Now I have already tried the normal things: resetting my preferences, reinstalling premiere, updating etc.  My computer can't be the problem since it works on a RAM of 16 gb and my windows is 64 bit and in the past I didn't have this problem. The problem arises when I try to make/ open a project. It doesn't matter if my external drive is inserted or if it is saved on there or the computer, it still has the same problem.   Does anybody know what it could be/ how to fix it?   Thank you so much in advance!

Hello, I'm in the process of getting a film graded and it does seem very dark so want to check the reccomended ranges on the luma wavefrom and whether I need to get the global exposure boosted. I've attached files comparing it to a screen grab from the Northman, when looking at it in a rec709 10 bit colorspace in Premiere it ranges from 0-40 and I boosted the global exposure by around 10% and maybe thats better as reaches over 40 on the scale then, does this seem a better range or let me know what ranges is reccomended on the luma wavefrom scale

Hey I have an MacBook Pro M1 2021 and have a Musicvideo in Adobe Premiere in which the colors look great, but after the export they are really weak. I have seen that it probably has to do with my Apple Macbook Display. So what is the best way to get the rich colors I have in Premiere. I'm using Premiere Pro 2025, and I want to use Frame.io for review. However, when I select the review option, I get a login error in Frame.io. Does anyone know how to resolve this?
