In Photoshop you work on a layer and, when you are happy, you can right click the layer, copy the layer style - then you can apply those changes to another layer with paste layer style.I had a big issue with an audio track.I've worked on one segment a lot and I have a 'workable solution', where do I 'right click, copy audio adjustments' so I can apply them to a different segment? BTW: How cool would it have been if all of the Adove Dev Leaders sat in a room and agreed some 'common look/feel' principals 🙂

I've have a long finished video that was not edited in Premier Pro that I've put into my timeline.I don't have the original EDL but I have all the original raw footage.I want to recreate this video using the original raw footage.Is there a plug in or some method to quickly search the raw footage to find each scene?Match frame won't work, because the sequence was not originally built in Premier Pro, so the sequence doen't reference orginal clips.

I'm running 23.2.0 and no combination of settings in the export window seems to create a matching .SRT file. I've tried in the app itself, and in media encoder. No .SRT file is ever created. The media file is there and looks great. No .SRT. Yes, the captions "create sidecar file" is checked. And yes I can go up to the Captions window and export. But that's not "wtih sidecar file" means, is it? What am I missing?

Hi,I can't make very precise adjustments when dragging an object left or right on the timeline in Adobe Premiere; the time jumps too far apart. How can I drag objects with shorter intervals? I remember there was a setting once I have seen it on a youtube video but I can not find it anymore.

So here's my situation. I have been using Render and Replace on certain audio files because for whatever reason, the built in subtitle generator will not recognize these files and will not create subs for them. When I use Render and Replace on said files, I get my subs.  However, after passing off my external hard drive to another editor to finish up a couple things while I was on vacation, he informed me that those rendered files were saving to my computer and not the external drive where all the media and the project itself lives. Am trying to find a way to get the Render and Replace files to save on said external hard drive. When I looked at the Adobe manual on this topic, it seems to say that when you hit the "Render and Replace" button, a window should pop up and you can set the destination there. However, when I hit it, no such window appears. It only gives me a progress bar telling me it's working. I'm working on a Mac, and am using PP 2024.4.1 Can anyone help? One oth

Is there a way to create/map a user-defined effect preset to a keyboard shortcut? I am using PP 2023

In the new premiere 25, if i select a clip/multiple clips from a bin, the highlighted color of the selected clips is almost unnoticeble due to the fact that it's almost the same color as the thumbnail itself. Is there a way of making it more noticeable? Mybe changing the highlight color? In the previous versions i could press xxxx and change that setting, but now i cant find a solution. For some reason, I'm getting an error I have never seen before.  It says "Error parsing properties list from file"  And it give a file directory back to the layouts folder.  I'm only getting this error anytime I'm dealing with resseting back to a saved layout, or going back to a default workspace from that custom worksapce.  I have found that I can shut the program down, and delete the XML files and restart the program and it will work until I try to do anything with saved layout again.  Any idea why I'm getting this error?

Has anyone encountered such a message? I am working on creating a long video with 4k quality and I use texts approximately five or six times every minute. I am now surprised by these messages. Please help me.

This problem happened before and I can't remember how to fix it. I imported an .mp4 file and the file is purple, with no audio playing when I drag it into my timeline, but it plays in Windows Media Player just fine. Everything was fine yesterday but today it's doing this all of a sudden. I tried using the media browser to import. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe CC. Nothing is working but I've had this problem before and fixed it. I just don't remember how.

Every time i open premiere pro,the effects list order gest changes every time,when i try to make a script,this effect change completely breaks my script. is there any way to stop premiere pro from changing the order

Premier Pro 24 does not allow video export - the program starts to consume a lot of computer resources, there is a strong load on the processor and memory and the program closes. Windows 11, 26 GB of memory, a lot of free space, and in general the computer is quite powerful. I tried to export via Media Encoder - the same thing. I deleted the cache manually. What could be the reason?

*Edited to add screen recording of issue and update workflow.Issue: Captions toggle is grayed out in Export window and only appears after full Premiere Pro reboot. I've been editing a project and when I go to the Export window and select a preset (one that specifically has Captions turned on for exporting), the Captions toggle is grayed out and will not allow me to select for export. In order to get the Export window/export preset to refresh, I have to quit and restart Premiere. At first I could restart Premiere and the Captions toggle would be useable, but not that solution isn't working. Sometimes the Captions toggle will reactivate when I switch from Export window, back to Edit window, back to Export window. Hi there! I'm trying to get this new Type Tool in Essential graphics to work, but I'm not getting it to work. (Premiere Pro 2017.1) Which really bums me out because this is exactly the type of change I have wanted for handling text in Premiere. Is there some setting I'm unaware of?Here's exactly what I do:1. I switch to Graphics layout.2. I place the playhead over a clip, and select it for good measure. The clip shows up in the program monitor.3. I select the "T" icon (TypeTool).4. I click in the program monitor. A new clip named "Graphics" shows up on the timeline.5. I try to write, but that just activates keyboard shortcuts. I.e. if I where to try to start writing "variety" I would get the Selection Tool, since that's mapped to V.I've tried this many times, with no luck. Creating an ellipse or a rectangle work fine though. I can choose "New Item" in the Graphics clip an ellipse or rectangle shows up fine, but as before nothing happens when I press New Item->Text in the Graphics cl

I have the app on my MacBook air, now Im trying to download it on Windows. However, when I sign in to my apple account on windows, it shows that I have no active plans. The email showing on my account is a weird looking Email? anyway to fix this issue?  

Premiere Pro version 24.6.1 Build 2 Windows 10 Pro version 10.0.1.19045 Build 19045 i7-7820x  3.6 GHZ 8 core 16 threads GTX 1080   C drive 335GB free of 466GB SSD Media drive 739GB free of 953 GB SSD Export drive 327GB free of 465 GB SSD Backup drive 1.16 TB free of 1.81 TB HDD   Camera: Sony HDR-SR11     The audio is lagging in the Program Monitor and in the source monitor. There is no lag when viewing the media file in VLC Player. I've used the same settings for the camera for other videos and they play fine.   I've tried resetting preferences, deleting the Media Cache, using the video in a project that is OK with other media from the same camera, and using the video in a new project. Audio Hardware Preferences: Default Input set to No Input   I've tried NVIDIA Studio Drivers 560.81 and 561.09.   Attached are MediaInfo screen captures.   What else can I try to fix the lag?      

I've tried everything that I have seen in this FAQ forum, but nothing works. Original footage does not have the glitch, but it never fails to glitch when working on a project and permanently ruins the footage upon building my project larger. This glitch is visible upon export and is costing me a lot of time to troubleshoot. This issue never fails to happen with this camera. I never have this issue with any other Sony camera whether it be the FX30, 3, or 6, Sony A1, A7III, A7sIII, or the A7rIV. At this point, I have tried everything from switching codecs to time codes and frame rates. I have tried deleting my Media cache, closing the project, reopening the project, deleting the render files, and rendering again. Closing the project, and creating a new project to import the project that I was working on in the new project, nevertheless, it failed me time and time again. Hi. The department  that I'm working in is looking to switch from Premiere Pro 21 to version 24. We held out for a while because we relied heavily on the old  Legacy Titler, and didn't want to potentially break our workflow process. Now that we're swithcing over, we want to work out the bugs in transistioning to the new Essential Grahpics. One issue we've run into is that the "Replace With Clip" option in the context menu is grayed out in Premiere 24 after titles are converted. The option is available in version 21. Any thoughts on how that option can be enabled in the new version? 

I've used Premiere Pro for over 15 years, and I'm still missing how to do copy and paste correctly when selecting and in and out point. ** Is there the correct keystroke available copy and paste the in and out point, no matter what else is selected? The meaning is that CMD c will copy what is "highlighted" not necessary the in and out point.
