Questions

The U key has no shorcut assigned. I think I removed it by mistake at some point.  Is there a way to ID the default shortcut on a key whose shortcut got reassinged by mistake? Also, can I save my keyboard shortcuts as a preset? I can't find a Save as optiong, just "undo" and "clear" Seems like there aught be a Save as option, to create a preset. Then I coould open the defailt settings for reference. As it is I have have a modified version of my keyboard and no, apparent, way to save it as a preset; so I can open the default for reference. The only opeion appears to be "Eneter" which just saves the current custom version as default.

My export settings have not changed since yesterday when it worked properly and there is no reverb when I listen in Premiere.  But when I export video now, it has unwanted reverb. Why? I can find other posts here with the same problem reported and no solutions offered. If anyone can help me out, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Sorry if this has been asked a million times, but is there ANY way to either cut down the amount of multicam spaces in the source monitor when using an even number of cameras? Or just zoom in to cut out the dead space? I see there's room for 4 cameras but I'm only using 2 and so I'm just wasting a giant chunk of my monitor space when working. I feel like I'm missing something obvious and can't figure it out.Please help!

Hello! I have a complete, edited PDF transcript of a show - The spelling, grammar, etc. have all been corrected by our editorial team. Is there a way to import the corrected PDF transcript into Premiere and convert to 708 captions? (And have AI make any corrections for instances where the talent goes off script)?

I haven't had to digitize tape in a while, but today I had to and behold, "capture" is not available in version 24.6.1.What's up with that? What "previous version" can I download to be able to capture HDV tape? rg

Hello Community! Our audio team received a Premiere from AAF from a creative house. The Premiere editor used submix keyframes. The audio team is saying submix data isn't carrying over from the AAF into Pro Tools. Does anyone have any insight into submix keyframe data and Premiere AAFs? Is the information really not in there at all? Or is Pro Tools unable to read it? Any workarounds?

Hi all, I've been working on this film since 2017. 2 years ago I converted it to Productions because it was getting very slow and difficult to open up timelines and work. That seemed to help performance for a while but now that I have finally stitched the entire rough cut together, it is bogging down, beachballing and crashing. This happens all over the timeline, not in one particular spot and I find the crash happens most consistently when trying to redraw the timeline while resizing the tracks to do audio edits. I'm working on a iMac Pro 8 core 3.2ghz with 32GB of RAM. Using OS 11.7.1 Big Sur with Premiere v22.6.3. My scratch disk is an OWC 24TB thunderbay Raid 0 using Thunderbolt 3. All camera original footage has been proxied to ProRes proxy resolution, all video I source for achival is also converted to prores proxy. All audio is converted to AIFF or WAV regardless of where it came from. I even convert all the temp stock footage I download into Prores proxy at 1920x1080.

Hello,I would like to import MXF video files recorded with a SONY FX6 in XAVC-I on adobe premiere pro 2024 (latest version) except that unfortunately it doesn't work, when I import them there are error messages that appear and the preview screen remains black. The error message reads: “The image substitution recursion attempt aborts after several attempts on the file: C:\Users\...” Then continuously, this error message appears: “Error recovering image 13845 at temportel code 00;05;50;58 from file: C:\Users\..., replacing image 13844”. Information about my PC: Windows version: Windows 11 Home EditionVersion 23H2Operating system build 22631.4169Graphics card: RTX 4080 SuperProcessor Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-14900K 3.20 GHz Many thanks Sincerely

Ever since the 2024 update, I've been frustrated with these draggable white lines on any video/audio clip that enters my timeline. I always end up dragging them up/down while trying to move the clips themselves, and it's annoying. Is there a way I can get rid of the lines? If they were present in prior versions, they were much less conspicuous. 

Premiere Pro is importing my videos at full size and then cropping them once I've put them in the sequence? What's going on? How can I fix it?

As title suggests. I placed markers on a video clip as it was playing. If I double click the markers. Nothing happens, I cannot get the marker menu to open and I cannot name or label it.They just sit there.Is that all they do?Can I Delete them?Am I Confused?Thanks for any help with this.Regards,Terry

I've seen numerous posts on this issue on the PC, but I'm on a Mac running Sonoma 14.6.1 with PP 24.6.1. When I start up PP, I get an alert sound. I think it's one of the system alerts but it's not the one I have chosen as default.It sounds almost every time I switch to PP. So, yes, it's driving me crazy. Is there any solution for this?

whenever I make a vertical video I usually get a fat green bar when I try and upload it to tiktok or snapchat or Instagram.Not sure if it is because it is vertical but this is very annoying and I was wondering if any of you have a solution to this.its always a green bar on the right side.

Hi, I'm having an issue with my Shortcut Keys, wondering if anyone can help me figure out what's going on here. I previously had my "Home" key set to Navigate to start of segmentand my "End" key set to Navigate to end of segment Today i realized that neither of those shortcut keys we're working properlytoday, they seemed to only work sometimes. So I opened up the keyboard shortcut window and tried unassigning and then reassigning them. After reassigning themI noticed that, although the correct shortcut assignments show in the bottom leftassignment list, it does NOT show on the keyboard layout. And now it doesn't workat all.  Any suggestions or ideas to fix this? Thanks 

There is some discussion in this community and outside this community about when to install Apple OS updates.  This week Apple released Sequoia 15.0 and many people say "wait for 15.1".  Why?  I doesn't seem to make any difference since every modification brings a new set of problems.  We just saw that Sonoma 14.6.1 created huge problems for Premiere, Cinema 4D and Final Cut users.  The real issue is there are TOO MANY updates too frequently from everyone.  It's so insane now, that we never know if the next version is a fix or a bunch of added crap that's going to create more issues that no one knows how to fix.  Adobe, Maxon and Apple need to STOP catering to everyone and focus on the needs of professionals.  

I know this topic has probably been addressed before, but all the posts I found about it are nearly half a decade old or older, and I didn't know if anything had changed in that time. I need to create a DCP for a short film, so I need a 24fps export. My project was shot and edited in 23.976. In today's premiere, is there any downside to simply changing my sequence from 23.976 to 24fps? It seems like Premiere handles all the conversion math for me, and long gone are the days when I would have to resample my audio or anything. Am I missing something, or is this a safe practice? Also, is it better to change my sequence to 23.98 or simply confrom to 24fps on export?

Hello editors, In Freeform View in the Project Panel I made a selection of the clips I have and the order I want them to display in my sequence.  Selecting all the clips and adding them to the V1 Track, I was assuming that the clips would be added in the order I gave them in Freeform View. Instead, the clips are added randomnly. How do I get the clips ordered correctly in the sequence without having to drag them one by one onto the track? Jordi

Premiere Pro 24.6.1 (build 2)If the Show FX Badges is switched off in the Timeline Display settings (the wrench):... then the whole set of the right mouse button context menus called Show Clip Keyframes drops out.This menu includes:Once you switch the Show FX Badges back on the line appears in its place at the bottom of the context menu.This is definitely a bug - showing or not showing badges should not canceal a vital set of tools. 

Hi,I am editing footage shot on an Alexa Amira (2k ProRes 4444) and some of the clips have been auto colour corrected, but not all of them. I have no intrest in having these corrections and cant turn them off. When i click on the effected clip in my timeline it says there are no colour effects on it and no LUT's. I even tried going back to the bin the file is from and selecting (Disbale Source Clip Effects) as somone suggested that on a previous forum, but still no luck. Help would be very appreciated!
