Can you do virtual staging for real estate with Substance 3D Stager?

I used to work with Adobe Dimension professionally for years, creating product display mockups to sell in to clients. It had some bugs, but it got the job done. When support was stopped for Dimension, I convinced my company to invest in the Substance suite as it was the next evolution of 3D capabilities from Adobe. I only really need Stager to do my job, but I had no choice but to pay for the entire suite. I understand that the full suite is very useful for some, but for anyone who was happy with just Dimension, they now have an enormous financial hoop to jump through for similar capabilities. Further, if you are expecting a 'new and improved dimension', I highly suggest you lower your expectations.Here is a short list of bugs I encounter consistently:- Program crashes when I try to import a separate stager file into a current project- "Generate UV" Just completely breaks the UV mesh, and "undo" does not return it to normal- Scaling objects randomly switches between scaling propor

I don't know if it is a bug or "by design" but when I open a file in mm it opens in "cm" in Stager. I know that there is no "Unit" in an OBJ, but we could have dialog box to set the size/unit at the opening, it should be fine...Step files open at the right scale...

Is it a true competitor or does it have a ways to go before it's ready for primetime.

How can i change the rotation direction in 3d stager? It only goes up and down not left to right.

Hi folks.I have been a Painter user for a few years and have just jumpped into Stager.How can I link all my Painter libraries (sbars) to the Stager library.Currently I have to look through Painter, once I have found a material I would like to use then send to stager.!!Thanks

I recently bought a new computer with visualization creation in mind that has an AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT graphics card. I was quite annoyed when I found out that GPU rendering is only available for NVIDIA cards .... why!? When will GPU rendering be available for AMD graphics cards? On the forum I found a thread from 2021. - "We are actively working with AMD to start testing and supporting their hardware! We have rewritten our GPU rendering to run on AMD devices. Coming soon!" Why after 2 years is this feature still not available?

I used Adobe Dimension ever since it was released and I still use it to this day despite how buggy it is, and was very sad to see the project reskinned under a new name and made into a separate subscription. I recently tried out Stager to see what I've been missing, but it's just as buggy and there's not nearly enough of a difference from Dimension to justify spending another $50/mo, especially since I won't be using any of the other Substance apps. The recently added 'animation' feature is a great addition, albiet limited, and I could see myself using it a lot, but with how easy it is to do the same thing in Blender for free I still can't justify the additional $50/mo and will likely just continue my sorta clunky workflow between Dimension and Blender. Is there any way to license Stager by itself? While I still think it's goofy to have to pay for an app included in CC but with some updates added (The equivalent of if Photoshop V22 was included in CC, but Photoshop V24 was an addi

So I need to bring in loads of models into my library.I want to organide them with icon preview but cant seem to work out how.Thanks for your help.

I have a pipeline where I model in Blender, then paint in Painter, then arrange/render in Stager. I have a left hand that I only wanted to paint once, then flip a copy to create the right hand. I assumed this could be done in Stager, but I don't see any way to do that (it won't let me scale less than zero in any axis). Do I really need to flip a right hand in Blender and re-paint the new one in order to have a left and right in Stager?

I've been playing with the Adobe Substance suite of tools, and it's just... well.... not quite there.I would love for the "Send to Stager" actually to work.  Yes, it sends over a model with the Normal map for the work done in Painter, but this does not appear in Stager. No textures, no materials or colors. Not even a model with everything baked in. What am I missing here?Loom video of the experience 

Wow, Stager version 2.1, and after 2 years still without ARM support in emulation mode on Mac. Still no isometric camera. This update is just disappointing, Adobe.When do you think we could expect it? I don't really expect a concrete answer, honestly.

Please help me.  When I try to select a selection with the magic wand and make it a different material, I get stuck on the loading screen. It without fail will work the first time, and then the second selection will make it stuck. After it gets stuck, I cannot do anything and am forced to force quit. I have tried different files, unistalled and reinstalled Stager, shutdown and restarted my computer, nothing is working.   I am new to this, but I have made 30+ renders of the product in different color schemes and it just now stopped working on Friday and is still not working today (Monday). Thank you for any advice!

I was wonedring if it was a feature or a bug:When I render a fixed scene, I get an estimate (acknoledging that it's just that: an estimate), but if I render a simple spin of an object/group, I just get the elapsed time in the progress bar. (and no time left or even the blue bar)   not the end of the world but since it's supposed to take a long time, I'd raher know if I can start something else instead of watching the computer running 🙂    

hi guys~ i am trying to build a high-resolution synthesized material dataset to feed my shadow-removal neural architecture. so i wanna know is Stager a suitable tool to realize it? the key points are all about the realism and diversity of shadows in rendering.thx for the reply:D

Hi all,I have created a 3D model of a wine glass in Illustrator with the circle option and exported it as obj-file.When importing this model to Stager and rendering an image the rim and the base of the wine glass show distortions. It looks like the model consists of too few segments to be displayed smoothly round. However, I can't set any smoothing in Stager. In Illustrator the model look perfect. Can someone please help me?

Hi 🙂 I have a question. I am looking for an effect in Stager that combines Transparency, Glowing, and Texture.For example, a transparent Acrylic-Board with a White-Sticker on it and an LED-Light illuminating the Acrylic-Board. The acrylic board is transparent and glows a little.The sticker is white and absorbs LED light well and glows strongly.Is it possible to express this effect with Stager? Thank you in advance.BR Toku

Ever since updating to 2.1.0, my Stager is unable to open large files. It gets stuck "Loading..." indefinitely. And when I open a smaller file, with just a few Object Meshes in it... I cannot render anything. The button for rendering does not become active. I'm stuck and unable to work since this update was installed. I've tried uninstalling, restarting, etc. etc. and nothing I do is working.

Hey all, is there any source for "stock scenes" for Adobe Stager? Thanks in advance!
