I don't see a category for ExtendScriptToolkit questions.Adobe RoboHelp 11 * About ExtendScript Toolkit support states "Click the Click To Connect To Target Application to run RoboHelp. The icon is green to indicate that RoboHelp HTML is running.Note: If you don’t select Adobe RoboHelp in the ExtendScript Toolkit, and you try running a script, an error occurs."However, when I select Adobe RoboHelp 11, the link icon (shown in green above) is broken and red. I assumed I needed to navigate to the RoboHelp 11 executable and run it. However, selecting it brings up a dialog "Please select a language) and there is no executable option in the list. How do you run RoboHelp 11 from the ExtendScript GUI?
I'm looking for a way to add a floating box/button that always appears in output, like the one on this Adobe page:Adobe RoboHelp 11 * Working with pods(Does anyone see the irony in this?)I was arguing with the boss that pods are only pieces of the RoboHelp UI. Imagine my surprise when he sent me this code, which he obtained by viewing source for the linked page above.

...It looks like, in this code, "pod" is just a term used in HTML labels that RoboHelp creates by using some functionality I don't know about and can't find in the help.I don
This is an odd problem. Needs some back story. My team produces several help systems for the apps offered by our division. We have come up with a relatively simple way to deliver our WebHelp with context sensitivity. In each project, we create Map IDs and assign them to topics, just as if we were going to create chms. This of course updates the .ali file. Before publishing, we take a minute to copy the contents of the ali file into a specific .xml file. The dev team has programmed the applications so that when a user clicks on Help, the xml file is polled to determine if there is a Help topic assigned to that window. If there is a Help topic attached, it is displayed. If not, we display the Welcome page by default, with the navigation pane, so that users can try surfing / searching if they want to.For almost every project, this works perfectly, as long as we help authors remember to update the xml file. It's easy, and handles any file / folder movement, and dev doesn't have to do anythi
I am using the Responsive HTML Layout in RoboHelp 11. On all of my new help files, the layout works great and my icons are showing appropriately. On all of my old help files that were converted, my icons do not fit within bar for the tablet and phone. I am using the Government Theme (Theme2_Government), but modified the file to have our colors and logos. I exported the .slz file and I am using the same slz file in all of the help files. The only help files that are cutting off the icons are the help files that were converted from previous version of RoboHelp. Any idea why this would happen?
I thought I tested this carefully before doing the moves but apparently not. I just reorganized a huge help project so that content is finally organized into a set of folders. I did this using the GUI -- dragging blocks of content from the Topic List pod into folders in the Project Manager pod. All the links/cross references updated beautifully. It now appears that NONE of the map ID links in the project.ali file inherited the folder references. It seems incomprehensible to me that RH would biff that step. I must have done something wrong but wanted to check here to see if I've made a mistake somehow. Here are my two questions:1. Not critical but should I file a bug: Shouldn't RH update the map ID paths the same way it updates changing a filename for a topic?2. Critical: I can fix this by hand editing the project.ali, but wanted to know whether anyone has had issues doing this. I'm comfy editing files but never know what RH will be upset about if I hand edit.Diana
I have been unable to import (I get an error that my project has "inconsistencies"), so I linked my files and am trying to recreate the project. Not bad so far, but none of my links work. How do I adjust the style between the two RH versions?
Did Uninstall/Reinstall of Adobe Robohelp 9; now receiving message instructing to Unininstall/Reinstall Product per Error: 5. Anyone seen this before? Thanks
Hi folks,Just started making Multiscreen HTML5 help with RoboHelp 10 for display on our website. After the site went live, my web guy came over and asked if I could possible deliver files with the *.html extension instead of *.htm. Beyond consistency, I think he said something about an Apache web server setting. We both thought this might be a simple project or layout/profile setting, but I haven't turned anything up. Is there a way to do this?FWIW, it's unlikely that we'll ever use CHMs again (presumably the source of the default *.htm output).
I just generated WebHelp using RoboHelp 11. I have the latest patch (11.04.291) installed. Unfortunately, the seach tab displays garbage as shown in the following screenshot. This occurs in both Chrome and IE. Is there a fix available for this condition? Thanks in advance.
We just upgraded from RH9 to Rh11. I'm using the Create PDF for Review... option on the Review menu. I have several two column tables in the topic I'm sending for review. The PDF cuts off half of the second column in the tables. We didn't have this issue with RH9. Has anyone else had this problem with the PDF review feature in RH11? Can you tell me why it's doing this & how to fix it?Thanks
I am using RoboHelp 11. I have imported an old .HLP and I am converting to .CHM.I am not able to edit the default, or (none) font in project settings > CSS Styles > Edit:Since the Formatting section is greyed out, how can you edit this? I need to change my default font to Verdana. i don't seem to be able to edit CSS in Notepad, either. The Formatting section is also greyed out in the styles pane for (none):Thank you
Is this a known issue with RoboHelp 11.0.4.291? Is there a fix?
My company has several products that are webapps, and we link to online help, which opens a context-sensitive topic for every page. We are now redesigning those webapps to be compatible with mobile devices and would like to use Multiscreen HTML5 output for the online help so the online help experience mirrors the webapp UI experience. In the past, we have programmed simple direct URL links into the UI to link to online help (webhelp output). For example, if we had two pages, Page1 and Page2, these would be the URLs that the Help button in the webapp linked to:For http://www.mycompany.com/product_name/Page1: http://www.mycompany.com/robohelp/product_name/index.htm#Page1help.htmFor http://www.mycompany.com/product_name/Page2: http://www.mycompany.com/robohelp/product_name/index.htm#Page2help.htmHowever, with HTML5 output, we will now have four possible destinations from each help button depending on whether the event is initiated from a desktop, Android tablet, iPad, or iPhon
RH 9.02.271On Windows 7 64-bitOn Windows Vista 32-bit Virtual MachineHi RoboHelpers,I've been using RH 9 for many years now, and have a problem I can't explain. We got our main project back from our translators and I started building and testing our chm output. On one topic, we have this portion of correct RH content:However, in the chm output, it looks like this:Notice that the image, caption, and step 2 are missing. It simply ends after the first item. All text to the end of the topic, including the footer is missing. The HTML for the topic, insofar as I can tell, is fine:

<me

Greeting to everyone! This is my first topic and I hopy you can help me with an issue. After migrating from RoboHelp 6 to 10, I started having this issue when invoking the help system... Happens in Windows 7 and Windows server 2012.How to get rid of that blank browser in the back? Thanks a lot!
Hi,I don't find any information if Robohelp 11 installation is supported or not on a Citrix environnement. Does anyone know if Adobe had a specific vision on that ?Thanks
I created a WebHelp project by linking to a FrameMaker 12 book. After first generating the output, the TOC and index were not included although they were part of the book. I click an icon in the TOC pod to generate the TOC, but the TOC is now based on filenames rather than heading names. How can I fix this?
I'm making the Help from a Frame12 file, using the Responsive HTML5 format. Viewed in Portrait orientation on a tablet, the page is just blank. On Landscape view, the information appears, but isn't scrollable past the first view.I have searched through all of my settings, and nothing comes up. Any thoughts about what I need to tweak?
Hi,I am a RoboHelp 10 user and have tried generating HTML help. When I try to open the chm file, the following error is displayed. When you click Yes or No to clear the error, it opens OK. The error message is also displayed EVERY TIME you click a hyperlink in the project or open a topic.I am using Windows 7 and have a 64 bit laptop.
Hello,We're looking to move from old winhelp (.hlp) projects made with an old (circa 1998) version of Robohelp, to html-based webhelp made with RoboHelp 11. I was amazed to see that you could import a winhelp project by specifying an hpj file. The conversion seem to go ok, but most of the entries in the new table of contents looked like they were trying to go to some other chm file (which is weird since we didn't use chm files before and I wasn't converting to chm based help). The TOC links are labeled as "Remote URLs" instead of local html files. For some reason it looks like it's treating most of the topics on the TOC as external topics, which they are not. Has anyone seen this before and know an easy fix? Many thanks,-Keith
I have a few questions/issues regarding screen layouts for Responsive HTML5 output in RoboHelp HTML 11. First off, I decided to just use the Theme1_Standard layout that came with the program (only other default option was Theme2_Government) and started customizing the layout. I originally added a company logo to the 'Header' component in the Customization dialog, but have since decided to remove it. I can't seem to do this from the dialog, so I tried just deleting the image file from the whole project. The file is gone, but the logo is still there. This is only displayed in the header when a topic is displayed, it does not appear in the header at the TOC, Index, Search screen, etc. How do I get rid of this???Secondly, the text in the header for the topic screens appears differently than the one on the screens for the TOC, Index, Search, etc. In the former of these, the header is displayed in maroon text in a much smaller font, similar to that used in the topics. In the latter, the topi
I generated with Responsive HTML5, using the layout Theme 1_Standard. After generating and previewing I notice that the header title font changes color between red, white and blue depending upon where you click in the generated project. I have been through all the settings and cannot find a way of preventing this - I want the title to be white and not change color. Looking at the HTML for each topic it looks like this is driving it:/**/A:visited { color: #ff0000;}A:active { color: #008000;}A:link { color: #0000A0;}/**This seems to be overriding the header title font color that I picked in Theme 1_Standard.Does anyone know how to turn this off? Please and thank you!
I have Robohelp 10 and when I click File>Import, the Map File choice is grayed out.
I am using Robohelp HTML version 11 and publishing with WebHelp. Many of my topics have tables in them which display as expected in Preview mode and when published, but when these topics are printed, I am having an issue. The issue is that any table that extends across a printed page changes width. For example, if a printed topic is two pages long and a table extends from the first page to the second page, the table will actually be less wide on the second page than it was on the first page. This occurs when using the Print button that I added to the Navigation Bar of the WebHelp skin we are using.
