Is this a bug?I am taking a word output of my frameless help. When I add the front matter for the toc, the toc shows up fine. When I add a cover page in the front matter just above the toc, the cover page shows up twice. once at the very start as the cover page, which is correct and also as part of the toc as page 1, which is incorrect.if i move the cover page outside the front matter and place it above it, the toc gets hidden and  the topics follow the cover page.Also, the cover page always takes heading 1 by default.Any idea how to handle this?

I'm anticipating this is a bug, but just want to see if anyone else is experiencing this and/or has a better way of formatting the Related Topics lists.Using WebHelp generated with RH 2019 Classic, our Related Topics were accessible via a button, and the list looked liked this: I am now using RH 2020.6.76 and generating frameless help.  By default, the system now displays the Related Topics like this:After a while, some of the Related Topics lists started appearing like this:For the lists where the Related Topics were being right-aligned, I noticed the code view contained this formatting to apply the "text-align: right" style to the list of topics:Note that the closing h1 tag appears at the end of the list (as expected).  In the lists that were not correctly formatted, the closing h1 tag appeared immediately after the opening h1 tag (causing the right-alignment formatting not to be applied to the topics in the list).  When I noticed the difference in formatting, I s

I have a frameless output. In the topic page in the right panel at the top there are Expand All, Favorites, Filter, Share, and Dark (moon icon) buttons.I want to disable the Share and the Dark button. I tried deleting the logos under the topic page > buttons section. However they still show up in the output.Any idea where their visibility is controlled?

With FM 2019, I used the Publish feature to publish my Help to a Responsive HTML5 output skin called Indigo. I customized the skin's buttons and set the text colors to my company's brand via the Settings.sts edit function. Output looks great, so far so good. Each TOC item (icon) picked up a heading 1, cool. Now my manager wants me to customize the color of each icon (product line) to coincide with the brand product colors. I dont see a way of doing this with the FM Publish editing tools, which allow you to customize the TOC icon colors as a group, but not individually. Potential solution - RoboHelp 2019. I'm thinking the RoboHelp tools may enable me to go this extra mile in skin customization. Is there a way to import my finished Help into RH and then do this fine tuning edit on the Indigo Responsive HTML5 skin? My goal here is pretty simple, customize the individual TOC icons, as seen in the below example, from image 1 to image 2: Thanx for any advice/help anyone may provide

Just to put this query in context, I work with a software development company, and we use Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 for development and our sources are stored on GitHub. To create context-sensitive help files, I use map files (*.hm) that are generated by Visual Studio. Basically, whenever I need the latest version of the *.hm file for any given module, I have a workspace setup where I just need to do a "Get Latest" and the file gets updated automatically. In RoboHelp version 7, the *.hm file was imported and used "as-is", without any modification. This means that whenever a new control and Map ID was added in the software by the programmers, all I needed to do was to overwrite the old *.hm file with the new one. The new Map ID would show in RH7, and existing associations were preserved. Easy peasy. We had a fully automated workflow for this. Now in RH2020, that functionality is lost. I have a frameless output. I have a browse sequence that is set and selected when we take the output.However, in the output the Previous/Next buttons or << / >> arrows are not visible. how do I enable them?

I am using RoboHelp 2020.6.76. I can see how to change the background color of many elements, but I would like to change the background color of the entire topic page, just like the "Dark" skin does. How do I do that?

Hi all!We are using TopNavigation skin and after searching something, the user cannot remove highlight of searched text, because there is no "remove highlight" button in the topic.Also, we can't find it in the skin editor. Putting RH-LAYOUT-TOOLBAR-highlight-remove-button directly in layoutDiff.css didn't work.

I'm using RH 2019 Classic with the Indigo layout. I have a very small project for a mobile app and I've already turned off the Index and Glossary in the output. I would also like to disable the Favorites feature, but I can't figure out how to do it. Is it possible to do this, and if so, how?  

I am using Robohelp 2020.6.76.I want to customize one of the built-in skins, so I built a simple project and output it using the 5 built-in skins and compared them. I like some elements of one skin and some from another. But I am having a difficult time figuring out where some of the settings are set. The preview is helpful, but sometimes turning a feature on and off makes no difference in the preview. Is there any documentation on all those fields in the skin editor?Thanks,Jim

I want to design a cover page for my robohelp project. From cover page, I mean when I generate the output, one cover page should appear for few seconds, instead of the default selected topic.I tried splash screen, but it is not working either. I want a good design page when I open my robohelp help manual. Thanks in advance!

I'm currently experiencing an issue importing map files that were generated by Microsoft Visual Studio. The file has more than 1700 lines, but when I try to import it, I end up with an empty file in RoboHelp. (RoboHelp 2020 Update 6) My tests seem to show that the issue is caused by comments that are automatically included in the file that Visual Studio generates. Look at the attached "resource.txt" file. Normally, this is named "resource.hm" when generated by Visual Studio, but I wasn't able to upload it with that extension so I had to rename it. So, if I remove the comments found at the end of each line (starting with //). then the map ID's are imported just fine. (note that the 3 lines of comments at the very beginning of the file don't seem to matter. I only needed to remove comments to the right of each #define.) This issue seems to be affecting only recent versions of RoboHelp. I tested this with RoboHelp 2020 update 5 and update 6. I've generated my project, no issues. Then I right click and choose Publish. After a few seconds of the blue bar at the bottom showing progress, name of my project and publish profile being used, the window blanks except for the title bar and File/Edit/View/Collaborate/Help. Disappears, poof! And it seems the publish is not progressing either, I've opened a project before that hadn't finished publishing and the publish seemed to continue as I opened the project, that's not happening here. I've restarted RoboHelp, exited, waited and launched again, same result. Of course this would happen on Friday afternoon when everyone wants to go home. Any ideas for me? TIA.

The MAP FILES editor of RH2020 does not work very well. Creating MAP IDs from the topics with automatic MAP NO creation is no problem, but editing the MAP FILE is almost impossible. I want to do the following:- Changing the MAP NO of topics to get topics of a chapter in a certain range, e.g. chapter 1 with map ids 1xx, chapter 2 with map ids 2xx, etc- Adding MAP NO for topics that do not exist but that could be required in the future. E.g. the text for a dialog with 3 parts is now small enough for 1 topic, but in the future I could make 3 topics of it. I want already to define the MAP NOs now, so that the software developers can already include these NOs to call the help. When the help is extended later, then they don't have to change the software anymore. Hello All,I am working on a project where I want to display different images in the Responsive HTML5 help output based on the screen size/resolution of the device. Hello again, dear colleagues. Somebody uses the build-in review feature of RH2020. When I try to use it I just can see endless loader rotation, but not a link to content for review.   The last RH (2020.6.76) version and so on.    

One of our team members needed to setup different computer to use RH2020 and Git for Windows.Followed all of our documented steps, worked with Adobe Tech Support and still cannot determine the issue. Note when copied over the ssh keys from user's original computer to the new one then RH works as expected and user can create new connection profiles. But, when using the newly created ssh keys consistently get the following error when trying to create connection profiles. Any ideas how to fix? Thanks,Leona "Jackie" Sexton 

Where can I find information on the messages displayed in the compilation log file? I have warnings, and I cannot find out how to locate the files that generate the warnings. I've searched on "log file" in this forum and the user guide, and I don't see anything. Thank you,Cindy 

I have been attempting to publish an updated robohelp project.  Upon publish, I get an error message Application ErrorThe application has run into an error.Please save your unsaved changes and restart from menu:Help  Restart RoboHelp I have followed the directions numerous times to no avail.  I've hard booted the computer multiple times as well

Is it possible to keep style sheets intact when importing Word documents into Adobe RoboHelp 2019? I am currently upgrading a project from Adobe RoboHelp Classic 2019 to Adobe RoboHelp 2019. In Classic 2019, RoboHelp created an individual style sheet for each imported document. Those individual style sheets carried over when I upgraded the project, but Adobe RoboHelp 2019 has not created new style sheets for any additional Word documents that I have imported after the project was upgraded. Instead, the program wants to use style sheets that are already present within the project.  The reason having individual style sheets for each document would be ideal is that this project includes content from different teams. It's difficult to apply a universal style sheet (or even several style sheets) because the teams use different styles.  Thank you!

I have a frameless online help developed by using RH2020. We have microcontent groups with intent phrases and responses.However, I noticed if I search for a single word that is part of the mc intent phrase that I have defined it shows the corresponding mc response.The regular search starts after that.For example: my intent is projections in graphsif i search for graphs it shows me the description/response for the above bolded intent that I have defined.The normal search results start after the mc.Is there a way to set a sequence in RH? where the mc search result show up later in the result sequence?

Hello. I do not have internet on the computer I use actually. My Robohelp licence is still available. Hi - I am new to RoboHelp, and I cannot figure out how to add front matter and/or back matter to my Table of Contents. I need to generate a PDF with a TOC in the front matter, but nothing seems to work. I have read a bunch of threads, but I don't have any of the options available to me. Perhaps there is something off with my license and/or configuration? I'm running 2019.0.5. These are the options I see:Any help is appreciated; thanks!

Hi, If I create a link in RH of the form <p><a href="index.htm?test=test">link</a></p> and compile the project then click on the link, the url in the browser navbar appears as index.htm&test=test, i.e. RoboHelp has changed the ? in the query parameter to &. Our development team have written some code that allows RoboHelp to retrieve information dynamically from the application it is documenting, and as part of this it needs to bring back information via parameters in the url. Unfortunately when RoboHelp substitutes the ? for the & it means that the information is not correctly sent into RoboHelp.  Is there a way to stop this substitution happening?
