HiI am using RH10, TCS4 and am publishing to WebHelp. I create custom skin as per our branding guidelines and share it with my team.I am aware of deselecting the Glossary checkbox from the WebHelp Output settings. But is there a way I remove it from the custom skin itself so that they will have one task less to do while publishing the output?Sreekanth

Hello, having a mysterious issue..I have a subproject with chm output.I modify a topic, eg add a carriage return.compile it.the 'show result' button doesn't show my modification.I erase the old chm file in my target directory, compile again, still the same old chm file is produced.I'm flabbergasted...the file date is not corresponding to the date of today neither. I open the htm page with the modifciation in the project dir, you can see the change. but the project is not compiled. what is happening here...best regardsOlivier

Hi all,I'd like to customize the Red Green skin in  RoboHelp 2020. I changed the colors of the functionbar and sidebar. The changes are displayed as expected in the skin preview, but aren't applied in the output. I cleared the cache and tried different browsers but the results are the same; the changes don't seem to have been applied. Any suggestions?

Hello, encountered a issue...a kind of gordian knot. I have 30 chm files. all of them represent chapters in a composed 'mother of all' chm file. I compile all the chm's to a common directory. So far so good. BUT nearly all of my sub chm's are referrring to external chm's via the baggage files. So you can perfectly make 'cross references' by links. The links in the project files are pointing to 'old' chm's via paths, they are not updated automatically at a change. At every compilation of a sub chm, my newer chm's are overwritten by old ones in my common target directory.   My question is, how can I solve this...   Stop compiling to a common directory? note which luggage files are used for which sub chm and manually copy the most recent ones in the right directory? check all links in all files and edit them? If a fast fix would be available, I would appreciate! best regards Olivier

Hi, I am currently working with the latest version of RoboHelp and have tried following the steps provided by Adobe on outputs and publishing. We want to generate an output and publish our work on Microsoft HTML. We have tried following steps but have no idea how to publish our work onto our software that we use. We understand how to use ''Contents'' and ''Table of Contents'' as well as importing and so on. However, we have not figured out how to simply take our work, generate the output and publish it onto our software system. We desperately need some guidance and help getting this done! Thanks!

For one of our project we had been using Rh2017 and generating Responsive HTML5 output. Now we have moved to RH2020 and for one last release we still need the Responsive HTMl5 output. we dont have Rh2017 anymore.I tried generating Responsive HTML5 output from Rh2020. The output comes out fine. everything works. However, the context-sensitive help calls are failing. It looks like it is not honoring the older tokens or is not able to search them in the map files.Does something change in the output that is generated from Rh2020 with regards to the map file?Any pointers on fixing this?I used the default responsive html5 output preset.

Hi AllI'm creating a help project in RH 2020 and created drop down text while in edit mode. When I display the created help files in browser, the drop down text open a new window, I want them to be displayed on the same browser window as drop down text. Any brilliant ideas to fix this? Regards

New to using RH2020. Struggling to generate output. I get a message that says, "Windows cannot find 'C:/RoboHelp Output/First_Topic.htm' " Not sure what to do next - attaching a couple of screen shots. 

While working on upgrading two separate projects from RoboHelp 2017 to RoboHelp 2019, one of my technical writers is receiving notification that "Upgrade has completed with issues."  The reported issue is this:Warning: Failed patching and copying CSS Dependencies from C:/Commissary/RHStyleMapping.css.Warning: Failed patching and copying CSS Dependencies from C:/Banking/RHStyleMapping.css.Both of these projects were originally created in RoboHelp 2017 by a person who is no longer with our company.  My writers (and I) are not particularly familar with CSS files.  (I did confirm that the RHStyleMapping files involved are not identical, but aside from the 114KB and 111KB file sizes, I have not delved into line-by-line details).The "upgraded" versions display no TOC, no indices, no glossary, no topics or contents of any sort.I am not certain where the problem lies with these projects.  Other projects created by this same former writer were successfully converted.  I

For ADA compliance external links should have an indicator that the link is an external link, and will move the user off the current site. I do not see a reference on how to program this in RoboHelp 2020 or in prevsious discussions. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to include this indicator?

Hi Team,We are using Robohelp 2020 Version 4 in our organization.The Microsoft HTML Help output right side window is not fit correctly as the output generated from the earlier versions.I have tried creating a new window but still, the issue persists and also i had tried reducing the height px and width px in Window settings > Window placement but it is not getting reflected in the output. Please find the below image I had pointed out the window misplaced as compared to the correct one left side.Could you please help me to resolve this issue? Thanks and Regards,Saravanan M

Robohelp 2019 I am working on creating a glossary. How can I change how it looks on the various outputs. Here is a couple examples of what I am trying to do.  Use the enter fuction when inputing the definition. If I imput say:Term123The output will be: Term123 How to get it to recognize new paragraph.  How to bold the term?How to indent the defintion? Basically how do I get things like the editing side bar in normal sections.  

Hi guys,Recently upgraded to RH 2020. Some of the Map IDs are not working in the CHM file. I get the following error:This page can’t be displayedMake sure the web address //ieframe.dll/dnserrordiagoff.htm# is correct.Look for the page with your search engine.Refresh the page in a few minutes.I can navigate to these help pages in the CHM, and they open without any issues. No changes were made in the code. When I replacecd the new chm with the old chm in the software, the mapped pages open fine. I am stuck now, not sure what to do next or even how to diagnose the problem.  Any help would be greatly appreciated. 

We use the Responsive HTML5 output generated using Robohelp 2019. Our security team brought issues related to ehlpdhtm.js and mhtopic.js files.For the ehlpdhtm.js file:Unrestricted target for cross-origin message - A malicious site can intercept the message by changing the location of the window. In requestUpdateLinks: Sending a cross-origin message without restricting the origin that can receive it. Unchecked origin of message event - An attacker can send arbitrary data via event messages, which may lead to DOM-XSS or other injection-based client-side security issues. In onRcvContentSizeMsg: A 'message' handler does not check the origin of its received message event. In the mhtopic.js file:URL manipulation - An attacker may access unintended server-side functionality or make the application access a malicious website. Upgraded an existing help project to RH 2020 and mispelled words are not underlined red nor are they found by Spell Check.Preferences>"Run spell checking on opening a topic" is on.Upgraded from Robohelp 11.0.4.291 to 2020.0.156.Confirmed mispelled words are identified in RH 11.Cannot duplicate when creating a new project in RH 2020, same words are found fine.Workaround: Changing the Project Title in File>Project Settings causes mispelled words to be found by Spell Check and underlined red. I suspect changing the project title is causing the project to "rebuild" in such a way that spell check starts working. Kind of a hammer.I'm wondering if there is a "lighter" workaround than renaming the project and whether this is a bug in RH 2020's classic-project upgrade.

Hi all,Is there a way to view all hyperlinks in your project at once? I want to be able to see all hyperlinks in my project in one location, so I can quickly check them all and identify which links are 'broken'. For instance because a web address changed.  Is this possible? Or is the only way to check hyperlinks by going through the Topics one by one?  Initially I expected the 'fix broken links' option to be helpful here. But I realize that 'fix broken links' only identifies broken links within the project itself.   Thanks a lot!Hannah

Hi RH community, I have a few questions regarding the after-publishing stage. I have not published my output yet. We are going to publish the output to a (company) SharePoint location. I'm currently working on setting up the SharePoint connection. I have not been able to answer the below. And hope that you can help:When using SharePoint, would you publish using Frameless or HTML5?After publishing, how do people have access to the published output?Do only the people in our SharePoint have access? Is just sharing the link sufficient. Or do I specifically need to provide people with access? If I have to provide access, how do I do that?If we publish the project to our company internal SharePoint, will no outsiders have access to the project?Can I find information somewhere on editing topics after publishing? Is the process for editing topics the same after publishing? Hi All - What would you suggest is current best-practice for providing searchable/browsable RoboHelp output for use offline?We currently generate Responsive HTML output from RoboHelp for the help/reference system for our products.This is generally dumped onto the local filesystem when a customer installs the product, and they then use a web-browser to access it. Typically, this would be on a maritime vessel with no internet access.For years this has worked satisfactorily, but more recently we have been encountering problems which are preventing the help from working correctly. Specifcally, most of these issues seem to be linked to browsers blocking cross-origin requests (see attached image). This manifests itself as menu links not working, searches returning zero results, and books failing to display linked topics.The output all works fine when served over http, but we need it to be accessible locally from the filesystem.We are running RoboHelp Classic 2019 (update 14) and most of

I'm using RoboHelp 2019.0.14 and when I generate Printed Documentation, the PDF Output does not show any of my images, which are svg files. 

Hi. I'm using RH2020.5.71 on a Win10 machine. This is a weird one. I duplicated a topic in RH, Add_a_New_Communications_Manager_Cluster.htm, and saved it with the same name to a different folder. Then I realized that I hadn't followed my own naming convention and deleted it. During the deletion, RH crashed. No biggie. I started it back up, duplicated the file again, renamed it to Add_New_CUCM_Cluster.htm and saved it to the folder separate from the original.  The problem arises when I perform searches. That duplicate file I deleted (Add_a_New_Communications_Manager_Cluster.htm) continues to show up in search results, and clicking it causes RH to crash. It is not in RH's file structure, Topic List report, or my Windows Explorer, yet it continues to appear.  How can I get rid of this if it doesn't actually exist?

Hello Everyone, I cannot get my alphanumerica lists to "Start from 1" or "Start from a." when importing my Word document into RH2020 version 5. The lists have no problem starting over from 1 or a in the Word document. But the lists within the same topic or chapter are continuous in the output when they are imported into Word. Any help or suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thank you, Ken
