When opening up my PDF, and pressing Edit, the text is shown as pictures instead of text. Mostly, every word becomes a seperate picture. This means that I can't edit the text. Any suggestions on how I can fix this problem?

I have two PDF files (testfile.pdf and styles.pdf, stored in the same folder on my local drive), with links from one file to the other.- PDF link using file name only: this works: Acrobat opens the PDF- link using page number: Acrobat says "could not open styles.pdf#page=3"- link using destination: Acrobat says "could not open styles.pdf#ID_403" When I open the URL in a browser, these links do work:file:///C:/testfolder/styles.pdf#page=3 opens the PDF at the correct page,file:///C:/testfolder/styles.pdf#ID_304 opens the PDF at the correct named destination.This confirms the destinations exist and are accessible via these URLs. So what could cause these links to not work in Acrobat?This is with the current version of Acrobat from Creative Cloud.

I was working off a desktop with Windows 11 and Acrobat Pro version 2024.003.20112. In Microsoft Outlook, I would copy the subject line of an email and print using Adobe PDF as my printer, go to my location and paste the text into File Name and press Save. I have been doing this for years with no issue. I have recently got a laptop and retiring the desktop. It is also Windows 11 and the version of Acrobat Pro is 2024.003.20180 64-bit. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it to see if this resolves the issue that I will explain but no use. Microsoft Office and also been checked for updates / repaired also by our IT people but no difference. The issue is when I go to paste the subject line text of the email into File Name when using Adobe PDF printer, it does not paste and it freezes. I have to go to Task Manager and end task of 'Printer driver host for applications' to get computer working again. Hi,I'm having a problem with the links inside a PDF. I am currently modifying a PDF on Acrobat online and I need to change some shortened links (in shorturl) with new shortened links (in tinyurl) as some expired. The problem is that for many of them, despite showing https://tinyurl.com/... it still redirects to the previous shorturl link. I alredy tried copy and pasting the new url, or deleting the old and typing the new one but for some it still doesn't work. How can I solve it? Thanks in advance!

Would anyone know how to stamp the file name using JavaScript to my dynamic stamp in Acrobat.

Hi, I am using Adobe Acrobat Continuous Release 2025.001.20531 x64 and attempting to save an entire website as a PDF archive. I am navigating to Menu -> Create -> PDF From Web Page. The URL is https://myhybridretirement.com/resources-, and I am selecting "get only" 2 levels and then clicking "create". The issue I'm having is that it doesn't scrape everything on the site. For instance, under the Blog section, it only sees the first three blog posts and does not see any of the selections when you "Read More." Additionally, I am having the same issue with the video pages under "My Weekly Broadcasts." Adobe only sees the first three videos and does not see the rest in the carousel.  How can I get a PDF of every item that is on this page, including the items that are mentioned above? I have attempted to change the level to 3 or 4, and it does not find the items in question. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I need a time-stamped document of all

Hi everyone,I’ve been using the Modern Acrobat interface for a while now and wanted to hear your thoughts  is the updated layout truly an improvement, or does it slow down your workflow?Personally, while I appreciate the cleaner design and better cloud integration, some changes have made common tasks like combining files or organizing pages feel a bit more buried than before. As someone who often works with PDFs in fast-paced environments — sometimes even while multitasking between creative tools or games like Balatro — a streamlined UI really matters.So I’m curious:Have you adjusted to the Modern interface fully?Are there tools you find harder to access now?Would you prefer Adobe offer a permanent option to switch back?Looking forward to hearing how others are adapting!Best,

We have run across an issue where forms we have downloaded from a fedeal agency using the Document Title name instead of the File Name.  I can go in and change the Document Properities of each file that is downloaded, but we download their files often - I really just want to set a default under Edit | Preferences.  Everything I've read indicates you should be able to go to Edit | Preferences | Select Documents from the left-hand pane (Categories).  In the right-hand pane, under Open Settings, check the box next to Always use filename as document title.  Click on OK. I can do this EXCEPT Always use filename as document title is missing.  So how do you do this??  Screenshot of what I see.  I'm hoping someone has found a way to fix this (without having to run a script or anything each time I open a file).  Thank you.  Vivian

I have never had issues opening downloads in Acrobat before, but all of a sudden I'm getting the following message when I try:The operation could not be completed as Adobe Acrobat doesn't have permission to access: ~/Downloads/.Launch privacy settings to grant access? When I go into privacy settings, "Downloads" doesn't even show up as an option for me to grant permission for. The only option is iCloud. Where did the other options go? My only workaround so far has been to drop all of my downloads into my iCloud folder, but this is really inconvenient. It's weird that the same thing seems to be the case for Illustrator as well with only "Desktop" as an option.  I'm just really confused as to what happened for this to occur and where the downloads option even went. It might just be a computer issue, but I just figured I'd ask and see if this has happened to anyone else. 

I have a multipage document, on each page is a button set up so people can click on it and open corresponding files i have attached and show up hidden in the attachments area.

EDIT: Well sometimes you have to post, after many hours of frustration, only to find the answer a few seconds later, right? I couldn't figure out how to delete the post, but I've just dicovered this is a symptom of VIEW > ENABLE/DISABLE NEW ACROBAT. I really don't like 'New Acrobat' and it's requirement to have an extra click just to show you the available tools. Still, we're not all the same are we! ...On my laptop the comments tool bar looks like this, which is great and shows all the tools in one go to be clicked without subselecting: On my imac I have this:I can't for the life of me find how to change the toolbars from a vertical floating window to the top of the app.

Hi All, Whenever I open a PDF in Chrome (via adobe specifically) the printing defaults to 300 DPI and comes out tiny. I have looked everywhere for where to change this but it's only with PDF files in Chrome.  It's not in chrome or printer settings. Any idea how to fix this?

I added a link to a page within a PDF on an external hard drive in "Edit PDF" Tool and told it to open a video file on that drive, but got the error "This file is set to be launched by this PDF file. This is currently disallowed by your system administrator." I am the system administrator. How do I allow it?

I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro on Windows 11. When I highlight multiple PDF files in File Explorer, then right-click and choose "Combine files in Acrobat…", the application opens but does not include all the files I selected. Some of the highlighted files are skipped entirely and don’t appear in the combine list.I've already tried rebooting to rule out any temporary issues, but the problem persists. All the files are accessible and open fine individually in Acrobat, so there doesn’t appear to be any file corruption.Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any suggestions on what might be causing it or how to fix it?

I've noticed since upgrading to Windows 11 on a new computer that printing to PDF with Adobe PDF printer is very slow and it often becomes unresponsive. What used to take 5-10 seconds to print now takes upwards of a minute or so. I haven't been able to find much support online as most similar issues are about printing a PDF to paper (rather than printing from an application to PDF). Is this a known issue? Do others have this problem? Is there anything I can do to improve the speed?

Hi Meenakshi,I have looked at the cookies and cache together with our automation specialist, these have all been deleted. it does not work in an incognito browser either. we have come to the conclusion that the problem is with the extension that is used/opened when you open a pdf file from a sharepoint site. see below the extension that is opened.

C\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\AdobeGrowthSDk.dll"Temporalmente lo solucione eliminando la carpeta de Acrobat en %AppData% en Local y en Roaming, para que Acrobat la genere de nuevo con los archivos adecuados, pero a los pocos dias vuelve a aparecer el mismo error, ya se ha probado con reinstalar y con corregir la instalacion y sigue igual.Alguna idea de corregir esto? 

PDF keeps going into "not responding" mode as soon as I press "repeat mark across pages". This was not the issue earlier but now a days its happing with very file .I tried changing PC, tried reducing number of pages as well as the data quantity but no joy. Need your help! PS:Redacting single word using "repeat mark across pages" across  10 pages takes almost ~20 mins if lucky.
