I have setup page labelling and it works great if the file is opened in Acrobat.  But open the file in Edge (only one I have tried so far) and the page labeling no longer works. My doc has 1230 pages.  The first 9 include the cover, intro and TOC I have labeled as i, ii, iii ..., the next 1221 start at 1 and go to 1221. When in Edge the user can only pick from 1-1230 which does not correspond to the page labeling so if the user enters page 3 they get ii instead of the labled page 3. I am using version 2025.001.20531 64bit How do I fix this so the labeling is consistent across various different pdf readers?

I'm trying to prepare a form where the signer doesn't need to fill out all signature fields. When I test it the digital signature fills all the signature fields. How do I stop this?

I used to be able to use Acrobat to download PDFS for work with no problem. Now, the save button is greyed out. I have the $37/month Adobe plan. Tried updating desktop app and other troubleshooting steps. Help! I need to be able to do this ASAP for my job. Thanks. 

I have a bank deposit form I created where I want Adobe to add up certains fields based on criteria in another field.  I have two different types of fields I want to incorporate into the formula.Field A1 is the amount $100Field B1 has the word "Cash" listed Field A2 is the amount $200Field B2 has the word "Check" listed In my Total Cash and Total Check fields I am looking for a formula that will go down through the 16 lines of possible deposits where there might be Cash or Check listed and tally up all the Cash in one field and Check in another. I know in excel it would be a simple IF statement and I could do it in my sleep...but my knowledge of JavaScript in Abode is null

I have a PDF template with form fields in Adobe Acrobat that has a barcode object set to QR code. There is a hidden textbox that contains the information the QR object is supposed to encode-in my case it is a shortened URL that will change depending on the item name. When I edit the PDF and manually set the hidden textbox to the URL, the QR code updates just fine and directs to the proper site. However, the QR object will not update and display correctly when I pass the URL into the textbox through a vb.net application. It's passing the same value as what I manually entered and I even set the form field manually in the application just in case there was a discrepancy in the value I was retrieving from SQL. I have also tried changing the value to a custom calculation script and making sure the textbox values passes as a String. The QR code still will not update and displays only the textbox's field name; sometimes it won't scan at all. I have not been able to find any answers onlin

I'm trying to understand the differences between these two products as we are bweing charged for both and I think they are the same thing. 

After the update to version 2025.001.20566, I cannot use any of my actions. The error message that I get is "This file originated from a potentially unsafe location and is skipped in this action. Please use Acrobat "Enhanced Security" feature to specify privileged locations for trusted content." When I go to Preferences > Security (Enhanced), the options are greyed out, I can't make any changes. My IT department looked into it and says it's Adobe's fault and I need to wait until the next update. Is this true? It's only affecting the actions feature. How can I get this fixed and get actions to work again?

Hi Everyone, when opening a cloud document in the desktop app to edit the document, shared comments won't load. I've attached a screenshot. We've already tried upgrades from Windows 10 > Windows 11, driver updates, and the following suggestion found on the forum: In Acrobat, Click Edit > Preferences > General > Uncheck 'Show online storage when opening the file' > click OKClose and reopen Acrobat   Any other suggestions? I can't find a way to change the default sizes of radio buttons and check boxes in preferences. Are we stuck with 0.25 inch x 0.25 inch? Working with documents having oodles of buttons and boxes, it's painful to have to change each group or box when the default size is way too big. Thanks!

Hello, I am having issues with Acrobat when I use the Accessibility tools. It seems to be linked to Adobe fonts. Interactive Accesible PDF is what I am trying to create. There is only so much that can be done in InDesign for this project - I need Acrobat to function correctly.  1st problem: Adobe fonts corrupt when the document is taken into Accessibility edit mode (any accessibiilty tool, also just opening it and reading with a screenreader the font is corrupt). Corrupt meaning that many letters are missing, there are periods where many spaces should be. 2nd problem: On several files, when I try to reorder the Reading Order or edit tags etc, the app crashes.  I've been on several hours long support calls and screen shares and also posted about this in the InDesign forum. Acrobat was deleted and reinstalledInDesign 2024 was used to create a test version of the files Adobe fonts were replaced in the document and syncing was turned offwe tried working f

For the past week I have received this message whenever I try to open or download and open a PDF. I cleared the browsing history, cache and restarted my computer. Does anyone have any insight?  

Hi, I have been able to connect my work OneDrive to Adobe Acrobat online (browser), but when I try to connect it to the desktop app on Mac, I am getting an error. (See screenshot below) Some FYIs1. I am signed to the same account on both the web and desktop versions.2. I am using OneDrive for business since it is a work account.3. My Adobe account is also a work account.4. It doesn't seem to want to sync.5. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the desktop app. There were no updates available before doing this. If I am able to connect OneDrive via the web browser version of Acrobat, then I have all of the permissions. Thanks for your help in advance. I'm testing this out to help an instructor at my institution. 

 

Getting corrupted boxes when merging one PDF that is in OS Roman encoding (Aerial font) with a PDF that is Microsoft ANSI encoding (Aerial font).   Is this a known issue? 

i use the color conversion in acrobat, in result all the photo will loss detail, like a high compression JPG file, have many noise, can i solve this? or is any wrong setting? 

I've repaired Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. I then uninstalled and reinstalled but the prelifght panel won't open. All the other panels in the Print Production tool do open, but not preflight. You can see that it looks like it's activated, but that's it (see image). Hopeing someone can help. Thanks.

Hello,I am unable to open any prior pdf files that have been saved after installing an adobe acrobat on my new computer. It gets the following message.  " Adobe Acrobat could not open " FILE NAME" because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged."  This is hundreds of files 😞 

I have recently just upgraded work computers from the Surface Laptop 2 to the Surface Book 3. I frequently have to open PDFs (engineering drawings) in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and mark them up with comments. On my Surface Laptop 2, I was able to open a PDF (in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC) and grab my pen and start writing. The PDFs in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC on my Surface Book 3, however, do not recognize my Surface Pen. Both Whiteboard and OneNote, the other two places I use my pen both work perfectly fine, which isolates this to Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. When I touch the screen with the Surface Pen in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, it just grabs the PDF scrolls in whichever way I move the pen. I have gone through my settings in each computer side-by-side and verified that all settings are the same, including the "Auto detect pen hardware to enable markup." I have done all the elementary steps: unclicking that setting, closing app, reopening, reselcting, trying again/ simply restarting my computer/ uninstalling

Hello! I've created a Portfolio with more then 50 pdf files. When I open Portfolio, I can scroll down and up with no problem. But as soon as I open any of files in that portfolio, the scroll locks completely. Can't scroll the preview list of files at all. Since I have more then 50 files in my Portfolio, I really need to be able to scroll to access last files. Side scroll bar disappears. Any ideas on how to fix it? Thanks!

I've been having this issue recently that when I autotag a document, it leads to character encoding issues. Except, it doesn't always show up as a failure in that accessibility checker. Sometimes letters just *disappear*. As in, I can see them on the page, but they're no longer in the content containers when I check the tag tree and aren't voiced with a screen reader. Some examples are, "refective, fltered, beneft, specifc, defned". I'm unsure why some seemingly random characters are just missing. This has happened with several PDFs, and don't have access to the source documents, either. When I check character encoding before autotagging, no issues come up. But in most cases, I have to autotag, because the documents don't have space at the end of lines of text in a paragraph, meaning the first and last words will be smooshed together, and autotagging is the only way I've found to fix that. Does anyone know why this is happening or if I can fix it? Furthermore, is there a

I'd like your help because I have an Acrobat Pro X and I'm not getting use it due to have already registered over two activation and I'm receiveing a message that I need to deactivate in another where this be activated yet. However, I'm not have access to this computer due to the damages done to HDD where the App was installed. So, how can I deactivate all previous activation in order to restart the Acrobat Pro in my new SSD under the same serial number? Thanks in advance for all.

I an looking for a way to batch change page labels across multiple files so that the page labels match the bates numbers.  For example:   File #1 has 10 pages, page labels 1 to 10, and bates stamps ending in 100 to 110 File #2 has 5 pages, page labels 1 to 5, and bates stamps ending in 111 to 115   I want to be able to batch change the page labels so that file #1 has page labels 100 to 110 and file #2 has page labels 111 to 115.  I know I can do this for each file individually, but I am looking for a way to do multiple files at once since I am dealing with over 100 files.  I'm hoping someone has already figured out a way to do this by adding a javascript to an action.  I don't know enough about java to write such a script.   Thanks
