Hey, im trying to use a drop down option for different names at work. My goal is when I choose a specific name using a drop down that in another field it will automatically populate a number for them. I'm not sure which to use a code to use. 

I'm unable to open some PDF files that I previously worked. The ones I'm having an issue with have an "X" on the lower left corner of the PDF icon. When I try to click on them, I get the following error: There was an error opening this document. The file cannot be accessed by the system. I've also tried accessing the files thru the Adobe Cloud but it gives me the following error message: The file cannot be accessed by the system.Again, these are files that were uploaded correctly and which we've worked on several times, without a problem until a few days ago. Now, thousands of files cannot be accessed and its causing me to have a  slight panic attack.How do you fix this and why is this happening in the first place?

Hello everyone, I just downloaded and installed the "Acrobat Reader" a long moment ago. I intended to get the free Reader only. However, I realized it was called "Adobe Acrobat" reader. Now, after an update recently, it pops up a the login screen for credential when I tried to read a pdf. I did not have one, so I tried to bypass it. However, it would just close the app if I tried to skip the logon. Now I cannot use it at all. I wonder if there is a way to stop the "Reader" to upgrade to Acrobat automatically? Or did I just download a wrong version?Hope you can share any info. Thank you for your help in advance.Bobson

(posting this for the 3rd time now - it seems my post is being marked as spam for one reason or the other and do not show up here) When double clicking a .pdf file, Acrobat 2017 is launched and I need to log in into my account.After that, a window appears that 7 days are remaining before I need to purchase the software.I click on the [Start Trial] button. I believed that Acrobat would be activated in the background. However, whilst I am logged in with my Adobe login (displayed under Help within Acrobat), at the bottom it says 7 days remaining. Does anyone out there has an answer on:Q1: How to re-activate the product?Q2: How to avoid this from happening again? Notes1. Acrobat repair (via Help) does not solve the issue , neither2. Acrobat update (no updates found), nor3. Re-install nor4. Uninstall, reboot and re-install

I have been working on making this 39 page pdf to be ADA compliant. Forgive me if I do a poor job describing the situation. It's not my first time doing this, but I'm far from a pro. I have two links (on two different pages, one email and one url) that are producing the "Link" Annotation is not nested inside a "Link" structure element error on PAC. I have tried anything and everything I can and unfortunately, the only suggestions I can find online are about how to tag a link. There are dozens of links throughout the document and none of the others are producing any errors. I've compared to these problem links to similar links and they are setup the same. I have the <Link> tag with the Link - OBJR nested inside. I've played with the reading order, order in the tag tree, deleted and retagged the link. I even extracted the individual pages and cleared the page structure, tagged it again from scratch, and still got the same error on the same items.  I am not

I am new to the Adobe CommunityI have hundreds of email messages received that have attachments.  When I open one all I get is the text.  There is no mention anywhere of the attachment.  Before I loaded Adobe the attachment would display and I could open it.  What is going on?  HELP!

Quiero añadir un campo de firma para que el cliente pueda insertar su firma como imagen, realizar el garabato de firma en el panel de firma o añadir el certificado digital; es decir, las mismas opciones que si solicitara firma electrónica a través de adobe Sign email. 

So I have adobe acrobat pro installed... when i try to apply redactions a document it quits responding. Program locks up and then eventually you get the close or wait dialog box.I also have Adobe Acrobat 2020 it will apply redactions to the same document with no problems. This happens on multiple computers. I have uninstalled adobe acrobat pro and reinstalled. I have updated it as well.  I have changed the language setting and turned off protected mode while trying to troubleshoot the issue. Any help would be great. 

Hello! Forgive me if this has been posted on previously. I did what due diligence I could in the time I had, but found nothing like this issue.   I use Acrobat Pro DC and regularly use Cntrl F to find words and phrases. If the PDF is not readable, DC would always tell me and offer to make the PDF readable right on the spot. This prompt would always come with a box to check and, in my stupidity, I read it as offering to make PDFs readable automatically without prompting. I held off from checking it until I knew what I wanted, but when I finally did it, the option disappeared. I realize that I can use Scan & OCR --> Recognize Text, but I really liked having the option on the spot.    Can someone please tell me how to turn this option back on? I've searched for answers and tried figuring it out in the preferences, but cannot find anything that will restore this. Can anyone help me to reset this option? 

I have acrobat form with lots of checkboxes on it. Using pdf script I've setup some checkboxes to be disabled when one of others is checked. I also have RESET button that reset the form. However, after reseting the form, only checkbox(es) that were previously checked are accesable. After selecting and  diselecting such checkboxes, I can acces other checkboxes. Is there way to reset the form in a such way to allow selecting any checkbox to start with?

Hello Sir,I have Adobe Acrobat Reader pro DC 32 bits with last version installed on windows 10 64 bits.The combine files tools is included in the Adobe Reader licence. I have office 2016 proplus installed on my PC and i want to combine multiple WORD files and arrange them in one PDF.The issue related the POPUP security worning appear for eatch combine WORD file with this message " Do you trust the source of this file and want to convert it?"  I m traing to apply this KB: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/security-warning-postscript-pdf.html ( i m creating also the regisrty key as indicate the thi KB) also disabling "Enhanced security" also trusting site from my OS by adding folder path contain word file and also adding my  host name. Could you please help me on this topic beause my company want to purchage more licence from adobe acrobat DC related most of all salarie using frequently WORD to combine in PDF before printing. Thanks in advanc

*Full disclosure* I used Copilot to help me write this post. I'm a black and white print press operator working with a Canon VarioPrint 6180 using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro on a Windows 10 workstation (Version 22H2, OS Build 19045.5965). I’ve created several custom print job templates using the Océ VarioPrint 6180 PS3 US V7 driver, which are essential for our daily production workflow.I’m looking for a reliable method to back up these templates so they can be restored or transferred to another workstation if needed. These templates include specific settings for duplexing, paper trays, finishing, and job ticketing that are critical to our press operations.Has anyone here successfully backed up and restored these types of templates? If so:Where are these templates stored on the system?Can they be exported or saved externally?Are there any compatibility concerns when restoring them on another machine with the same driver and Acrobat version

I need two signatures on a pdf that is set to lock after the first signature is added. The document says it's too large to request e-signatures and so I'm not sure how to go about getting both signatures. Is there a work-around for this? I need to submit this form soon and am not getting a reply from the department the form is for, so any help is appreciated. 

Hi All, Adobe Acrobat DC Pro always wants to save a PDF to default location within outlook in C:\Users\admin\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\Content.Outlook\B1SYX8PT No matter what i do I cannot change this, i have Googled this and every instruction does not work, i can even delete this folder and creates a new one.Yet previously i had it set to always save to download folder or at least last saved location. Not sure if this is an Adobe issue or a setting in Outlook?

I have the latest version of  Acrobat Pro for Windows and would please like to know how to be able to select multiple text boxes when editing a PDF, so as to be able to change the font on all the text boxes. I have searched the community,  but there are no answers for the latest Acrobat Pro, only Acrobat DC, which is different. Is there a quick way to be able to select multiple text boxes on a page, without having to select them one  by one?I'm hoping there is a way to like click the mouse and drag it across multiple text boxes and then they all are selected/turn blue? Thanks for your help.

In the most recent update, when in Prepare Forms, it is now possible to edit text.  I was wondering if there is a way to disable this feature. I often need to select a lot of form fields and the minute I click on text, the mode switch to Edit text which is not what I want. It's a hassle to have to click back on the arrow to continue editing the form.   I tried playing with the Pin but it does not seem to disable the Edit text feature even if I pin the arrow.  Any help would be appreciated.

I just noticed this week that the menu bar, that has usually been at the top (see image) is now floating to the side. This is frustrating as it doesn't have all the functionality (e.g. zoom in/out, what page number you are looking at, etc.). I can find now way in either the preferences or normal view/file menus to move it back to the top. Does anyone know how to fix this? Version: 2023.003.20284Adobe Acrobat Reader for Apple/Mac.

Adobe notifies me that I have out of memory, rendering my editing function non-functional. How can I check my storage? How do I fix this problem?
