I’m trying to convert a PDF document into OCR, but it only processes the first 7 pages — the rest of the 70 pages are not being processed.

This has happened randomly to me several times over the years.  It is so frustrating, signing in and out does nothing, changing the language does nothing.  This is frustrating and I can't believe I'm paying for this application.

I recently upgraded to Windows 11 and now my Acrobat Pro refuses to create JPG files. I'm trying to convert a PDF to a JPG by going to File > Edit > Export To > Image > JPEG but it's not working. Sometimes there will be a split-second optimizing bar at the bottom but no final file saved. Ironically, I can export just fine to JPEG2000, Tiff, and PNG (which I don't need any of these file types!)... but no JPG. I've reinstalled Acrobat twice and still doesn't work. There has to be an easy fix since it doesn't appear to be an issue with anyone else. I have used this trick for, like, 25 years, so it's difficult implementing a work-around or converting the files online. Thanks in advance for any advice!! 🙂 

How do I change the page labels default so that when using uppercase alphabetics, page numbers greater than 26 have a page numbering scheme of AA, AB, AC rather than the default of AA, BB, CC?

Hello,I have the following question for a client where i have Windows 10 64 bit - Office 2016 Pro and Acrobat 2017.When there is for example a Word  document that is located in  c:\users\user1\documents\folder1  the document name is example1 now when printing to the adobe acrobat printer it is always printing to the last location of the folder used the last time.Is there a option so it prints to the same folder where the Word document is located ? So the the path is transferred to the acrobat printer ?My client is using Onedrive where all the files are located so when a Word document is in a folder on onedrive it would be handy when Creating a PDF document the pdf document should also go in the same folder.ThanksBest regardsDidier

Hello, Like many users, I am also pissed off with the "AI Assistant" in Adobe Reader for Windows. I followed the suggestions in this discussion, to no avail. Both check boxes are unchecked, under "Generative AI" in the Preferences of Adobe Reader, and even after restarting the application, I'm still bothered by the "AI Assistant" orange-purple icon in the upper-right corner. Also, if I select some text in a PDF document, I get the "Ask AI assistant" menu. I'm NOT interested in the AI hype. I'm NOT interested in the cloud hype. I DON'T like the new version of Adobe Reader. I just want to be able to remove all the junk the brilliant Adobe executives found good to add and to shove down our throat for some obscure reason. It pisses me off so much... I have work to do... I don't like wasting my time going through obscure menus just to get rid of annoying options, popup menus asking me all the time for services I don't need. I don't want to have to spend my time searching the web h

When I create text of two to three lines in Adobe Pro DC, Adobe breaks it up into two bounding boxes making it difficult to copy and paste as needed. How do I stop this from happening? 

Hi, I need help with a pdf form. Is there a way to auto populate a field based on another field? i.e I have a dropdown field called 'Client Name', what I would like to do (if possible) is to auto populate a 'Client Address' field based on the 'Client Name' field. Is this possible?

Hi, i'm trying to sign with two certificates, but when i signed with one the document is encrypted and i can't add any certificate more. I have adobe acrobat in mac vers. 2025.001.20521 | Undefined appReally i tryed a lot of things and no works for me.Have any idea how to? I search to sign with certificate in my side and send to another person by email and when open the pdf only can sign. When i use the certificate, ther an three options :- No changes Allowed- Form fill-in and digital signatures- Anotations form fill-in and digital signaturesI tryed to use in the three optiona (one to one) but no fine results.Sure i'm doing something wrong but dont find the solution Please if you have any idea are welcome Thanks in advanceNoe 

There are many improvements in the new Acrobat that are great. If I disable new Acrobat to avoid the things I don't like about new Acrobat, I quickly miss the improvements. However, general visibility and convenience in new Acrobat needs significant improvement. The "solution" to disable new Acrobat is temporary at best: it is inevitable that that option will disappear. Here are a few things I'm talking about. When preferences are set to display documents in tabs and two or more tabs are open, (a) the color of the current document's tab blends in with the surrounding interface and (b) is only slightly different from the color of other tabs, requiring pausing too long to find what you're looking for. It would be nice if the current tab color contrasted more with both the surrounding interface and other tabs. The "plain vanilla" tool icons in the sidebars need color: they are not readily distinguishable. Looking for the right tool is visusally fatiguing , far too much

Good Afternoon,  I am new to Adobe, and have acrobat pro dc right now. I have text field that is in my filliable form, and i want the text to be underlined when someone types in it. Right now, i have been placing lines physcially under the text field box, but i would love to know a way to have the text just automatically be underlined. The only solution i have found was from 2010 in this forum and its suggestions are no longer a part of DC that i can see. Can someone help me out. I attached a picture below of what i mean.Here is my test text field box and when someone clickes in there to type i want it to be underlined. I hope i have explained this well enough so you understand what i mean. Thank you in advance. 

Hi everyone, I'm facing an issue with the Request Signature feature in Adobe Acrobat. The button 'Specify where to sign' seems to be inoperand, I fill the people who I want to request but when I click on the button nothing happens literally. It used to work fine a couple of week ago but now seems to be inoperant. I already tried reinstalling Acrobat but the issue persists, has anyone seen something like that ?      

I know that we can auto-populate information from one text field to another by keeping the same form name. However, I require a text field to populate in another text field if a checkbox is selected. For example, I have two checkboxes:__ CURRENT and __ NEWAmount $________________.Current Amount $ _____________ (auto-populate from amount field if current is checked)New Amount $ _______________ (auto-populate from amount field if new is checked) If current is selected, there is an amount field that is to be populated in another text field. If new is selected, that same amount field will be populated in another text field. Is this possible? 

I had a saved signature in Adobe that whenever I needed to sign a doc, I clicked "place signature" and an image of my signature was available to drag onto the doc. Now, when I try, it's saying "To begin signing, choose the 'Drag New Signature Rectangle' button, and then drag out the area where you would like your signature to appear." I don't understand where my signature went. I have been using it for years. I can still place my initials. What is going on?

I was reviewing and marking up comments on 26 page PDF that was generated from AutoCAD drawings. Some pages had items that didn't belong, so instead of clouding or lassoing them with rectangles, I tried used the "crossmark" to identify each item to be removed. After going through the 26 pages, I returned to some pages where there shouldn't be crossmarks, but they were there in the same array as when I placed them on a different page. Adobe Help webpage is useless in searching for instructions on how to properly use the crossmark tool.

Since the documents need to be converted to pdf form,my Adobe program is needed,and that doesn't seem any longer to be functioning on my Windows 7 computer.

I am trying to highlight and underline text on a pdf opened in Acrobat, but the highlight tool only works on each individual word, so when I try to highlight an entire sentence or paragraph, each individual word is highlighted with blank spaces in between. It is annoying and jarring to read an entire paragraph like that. On some documents I can automatically highlight continuously but on others it is broken up. How can I adjust the highlight/underline tools so the whole sentence or paragraph is highlighted continuously without spaces in between?What I don't want:What I do want:

I need to crop the white spaces present in some PDF files. I know the "REMOVE WHITE MARGIN" function perfectly, but this function does not remove spaces permanently. That is, if you reopen the file after saving and reopen the cutting window, the original dimensions are still visible. I found an online site that does it permanently, but it's a nuisance to have to upload 20-30 files each time and maybe even tens of MB large, when I have ADOBE ACROBAT PRO and it can't do the same job!

Does Adobe Acrobat X Pro have Dark Mode that makes the background of a PDF black rather than white and the text of a PDF white rather than black? If so how do I enable Dark Mode? 

Hello everyone,I've been using the Acrobat feature that allows PDFs to open in a new window instead of a new tab. However, whenever I open a second PDF, it always opens in windowed mode rather than maximized, regardless of how the previous window was displayed.I've tried several solutions, including reinstalling the software, but the issue persists. Does anyone know how to fix this?Thank you!

Hello, Since updating to Windows 11 24H2 (Build 26100.1882), Acrobat takes ages to launch. I found out that disabling Security (Enhaanced) -> Run in AppContainer fixes the problem, but that's obviously a workaround.I'm using Acrobat 2024.003.20180 (latest). Attaching the log file.Any ideas?Thanks
