Having a very strange issue that in 30+ years, have never encountered. I have several PDF documents from a client where the font that is listed when you view properties is not the font that you see visually. If you 'edit PDF' and select a section/word of the text, it shows the wrong font name in the list. The font the PDF says is used is Brown Pro. I can (obviously) go to Adobe Fonts and see what Brown Pro looks like, and it is NOT the font that is visible in these PDFs. I have no way to serch for the actual font because I can't figure out the name of the font you SEE. My clients marketing team works out of the UK and insists that all fonts used are Brown Pro. But it is very obvious visually that it is a different font. Very frustrated at this point. I have 8-10 PDFs of business cards, and an 80 page booklet that all claim to be uisng Brown Pro but the font I'm looking at is NOT Brown Pro. Has anyone else encountered this? Is there anyway possible that there's a vers

I have to edit a pdf sent to me. When I click on the Edit pdf button in Adobe Acrobat Pro (64-bit) Version 2023.008.20533 and go to the text field and try to decrease the text or move the field, it will either drop down to the bottom of the page or disappear all together. The font is some bizarre Z@R2AE4.tmp. If I change the font of the field the entry will also disappear. Further, there is no way to change the entire document font or align the columns at once. I would have the tedious job of selecting each entry to change the font and align it properly. I must export it to Word and edit it there. I would think there should be some way of making edits in Acrobat simiarly to Word as CTRL + A, but it doesn't appear to be the case. I also find that Adobe will freeze, and not allow me to highlight, move pages or use in the page view the black square that magnifies a portion of the current view. I must exit out of all Adobe pages and once I reopen Adobe all functionality i
Hi, we are installing CC on our new Mac Mini's and have found an issue with two of them regarding Acrobat. When launcing Acrobat on one, it also launches another Acrobat called "Acrobat Helper". So, I now have two versions open on the Mac? The other Mac does not do this, it only opens Adobe Acrobat. Has anyone had this issue at all? Reason I ask is that the Plugin Pitstop Pro only seems to work on the Acrobat Helper version. Both Macs have exatly the same OS and Acrobat versions.
Acrobat Pro, when selecting Help -> Acrobat Help I get this error message:"Online Help content cannot be displayed. Verify you can launch your web browser and have access to the Internet." Opened a browser and verified I have access to Adobe support sites. Did an installation repair.Any ideas?
When using the Send File by Email to Outlook it will add text to the body Please find the PDF attached. Download the free Adobe Acrobat Reader to easily view and add comments to your PDFs.h t t p s://www.adobe.com/go/reader_download This is causing the email to open with the attachment as Plain Text, even though Outlook is set to default HTML which we use for our Corporate Signatures. If I attach a document any other way it is fine, it's only when using Send File by Email inside Adobe that is causing the issue. This started today. I can not find any option to not include that message when using Send File by Email. Suggestions?
Recently i have sent documents for e signature to multiple parties. The confirmation email though only includes the first person's email address, and the other parties are saying they never received the e-sign request. I have used the adobe e-signature function many times in the past and have never had an issue. I am entering email addresses and specifying fields the same way i have always done, but for some reason it isnt working...
Ok, word counting is not easy (eg. headers and footers), but is perhaps not impossibly hard either. Does our trusty Acrobat still not count words in a PDF now it is 20 years old? What is our best option for a clearly defined and accurate count of the words in a PDF in the Adobe Creative Cloud: select all text in Acrobat Pro and paste it into InCopy? Thanks for the widom.
I understand that for Copilot+ PCs Adobe Acrobat only runs via the 32 bit version, but that is far from ideal, runs slow, etc. Does anyone know when they will actually release a native version that will run on Copilot+ PCs? I honestly don't understand why they don't release an ARM native version. Is it that difficult for such a huge company to develop the native version?
HiI am using Acrobat Reader DC (32 bit)There are multiple AcroRdrDCUpd .msi and .msp files taking up space on my computer - adding up to 2.5 GB(see picture attached) How can I safely remove them? Thanks!Joe
Hello Adobe Acrobat Community,I’m working on a project to create interactive PDFs that include mindfulness exercises, similar to those found on Calmytime , which offers short relaxation activities. My goal is to design PDFs with embedded links or buttons that guide users through timed breathing exercises or open external mindfulness resources. I’m using Adobe Acrobat Pro (latest version) and have some experience with adding hyperlinks, but I’m not sure how to make the PDFs more interactive, like including a clickable timer or embedding audio instructions. Has anyone here created interactive PDFs for well-being or educational purposes? Are there specific Acrobat features or JavaScript options that could help me add these elements? Any tips or examples of similar projects would be super helpful. Thanks in advance for your advice! [Link removed]
I created bookmarks for multiple pages in my pdf. Now I delete one of the page which had bookmark associated with it. What I notice in bookmarks panel is, That bookmark name is still present. Altough clicking on it doesnt do anything but still it is present. Where as if I click other bookmarks, it navigates to the specified page.Should it not delete the bookmarks too once page is removed? Is it a bug or Bookmarks are supposed to work in this way?
for the chrome extension, how to enable all donwloaded pdfs to open in acrobat EXCEPT the attached files on gmail? If you enable all PDFs open in Acrobat then you click on a PDF attached on your email and will open a new tab to open it, please help. Could that be separated??
I want to put the tools back at the top, so that I can read my full PDF without the toolbar blocking access to significant information, and without having to lower the zoom on the PDF. PLEASE HELP! There are numbers behind that toolbar that I need to see!
I have inherited a document library at my office. There are tons of docs with highlighted text created by the previous person in charge of this library. The documents have no security on them and they are not locked. I'm running into a few problems:In some documents I need to remove just the highlights from the text. I'm not seeing any way to remove the highlights. When viewing the comments in Acrobat XI Pro, the previous person's highlights are NOT showing in comment list even when I select "show call comments"In some cases I need to delete the highlighted text also. When I try deleting the highlighted text, the highlighted area still remains on the page (text gone). So it looks like a yellow rectangle still there where the text used to be. I cannot seem to find a way to select it. Even when I reopen the doc, the leftover yellow highlight is still there. The document properties show "PDF version 1.6 (Acrobat 7.x)". I'm using Acrobat
Is it possible to mark, including comment and stamp, multiple PDF files at the same time (in the same program)? When I grade assignments as a teacher, I can save a significant amount of time if I’m able to go through multiple assignments simultaneously. However, when I place several PDF files side by side, each in its own open "Adobe Acrobat", the stamps and comments are independent for each open PDF. So I have to switch the stamp for each individual PDF?Is there a way to have the three PDF files displayed side by side without them being opened in separate, independent instances of Adobe Acrobat?
I have had a couple clients that I have e-mailed PDF's to say when they are viewing them they have a large number 1 & 2 covering the pages.
Hello - I recently received the Acrobat Pro software. Users who received this pdf only see page 1. What should I ask them to do to see all the pages in a combined files portfolio? Thank you!
Is there an easier way to rename files within a portfolio besides right-clicking, selecting Edit Value and then Name? I was hoping to be able to tab from the Name field to the Description field and to any custom fields for each document within a portfolio. Right-clicking, etc. is time consuming and clunky. Thank you!
Hello,I have a grading rubric (created in Word) in table form that must be converted into a fillable, scorable form. Ideally, users can click the box on the table that corresponds to the score they want to give for each item. The form would them calculate the total score. Is this possible? Thanks! The form looks like this:
Acrobat DC. Create a document in Word; Convert to PDF. In Forms, default for user text is: Size=Auto, Font-Helvetica, Color-Black.I want all new forms fields in my newly designed form, which user completes, to have default of: Size=10, Font - Calibri, Color - dark blue. This helps user input stand out from static document text, without being too different; looks almost the same if completed form is printed in B/W.If possible, I'd like this to be the default standard and not something I have to run a script on each form I create. But beggars can't be choosy, so I'll take what ever will work.Thank you.
I have a file and when I open it the print dialog comes up along with the file. I guess this is something the creator put into the document; however I cannot find a way to disable this. Do you know of a way to disable it so that the print dialog does not open every time I open the document. Using Acrobat Pro XI on Windows 10.Thank you, Rich
I have a pdf document on a google drive which has comment boxes on it. When i download the document the comments are not visible and I need them to be there so I can reply to them etc
My boss only has Reader. When anyone sends him PDFs he can open them right out of the email. But when he saves them to his desktop or files them away and then tries to open them again, he gets an error opening saying something about the indd is not supported. Strange because he does not even have the suite on his computer and after it's a PDF anyways he shouldn't have to worry about needing InDesign. It says we are opening an InDesign file but they are actually PDFs and shows a PDF icon. Is there a setting we are missing? I have never heard of this before. Thanks.
When trying to save as a PDF/A file in Acrobat Pro DC it throws an error. Assertion failed in file D:\T\Plugins\Preflight\src_pdfToolbox\pdfInspektorBatch\_Imp\PIBatchAVConversion.cpp, line #566:"CPreflightDlgManager::getDefaultPRCs(state,progbar)" I been in contact with support who confirms this is a bug and given me several workarounds to try which we have tried without success. However I can't find any more information on the issue and the issue is urgent. This does not occur on Windows 10 but on Windows 11. We have tried:Reinstalling, repairing and updatingInstalling an older versionUnchecked "Enable Protected Mode At Startup" and "Run in Appcontainer"Deleting registry keys Adobe Acrobat, Acrobat Arm, Acrobat Distiller, PDF settings. I have tried on 2 different machines with Acrobat Pro and Windows 11 and it throws the same error. On the 2nd machine, unchecking "Enable protected mode at startup" enables me to save the PDF as a PDF/A but sometimes gives
