When starting the Adobe Acrobat 2017 Standard after it was installed from the Adobe Cloud portal. The Login requered popping up, but then it stops in this windows (Look below)We have bought the licens with the license code which was entered during installation, but can not make the product work... 

Kind Adobe support,  Recently my adobe acrobat is not working anymore. While I try to open a pdf file, it says: "A running instance of Acrobat has caused an error." and the software does not start. I already did all your procedure illustrated here https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/failed-to-connect-to-dde-server.html  but they do not work.  Can you help to fix this issue ? Looking forward your answer, Kind regards,   

I OCR all of my documents and I haven't really noticed this issue until today. After the OCR is run, I do not look at the results, so there's no overlay on. The PDF should essentially look the same as before the OCR process. However, there are these gray bars on top of a couple of lines that do not have text. Why do these appear? What else is it altering? Picture attached.

When I hit "PREPARE" to convert it to a fillable form, it works for most of the spaces, but some of them, which are exactly like the other do not convert to a fillable space. How do I fix it?Thank you

I have a pdf that has a black circle that is cut into 3/4 and 1/4 by a white rectangle outline. When I use custom colors in Adobe Acrobat Free, I get white text and a black background, and images are not inverted, and this is a huge positive for me, it makes me want to ditch Okular and SumatraPDF on Windows. However, some line art is not correctly colored.In my pdf, when I enable custom coloring text (white text on black/black bg page and white text), it will have the white rectangle outline not be correctly colored. It is still white, and not black. When I disable one of the two default settings in the Accessibility section, with the disabled one being"Only change the color of black text or line art"and me keeping the enabled one"Change the color of line art as well as text"enabled,  it will make the rectangle outline a gray color. Not black but it seemed to almost fix my issue. Is there a way to make it so that this can have a black rectangle outline? I would love

Hi all, I have a Acrobat Pro 2020 MacOS license. Unfortunately my old laptop with MacOS High Sierra got stolen. I have now a second hand Mac Mini with MacOS Ventura. According to this page https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/macos-ventura-compatibility-common-issues.html Acrobat Pro 2020 is compatible with Ventura. Luckily I was able to migrate my old High Sierra config from a backup into Ventura. Because the jump from High Sierra to Ventura is a big jump, I uninstalled Acrobat Pro 2020 by using the Acrobat uninstaller before reinstalling it. I also made sure everything my folder ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe and every file that started with com.adobe.* was removed from ~/Library/Preferences. I then downloaded my .dmg from my account page and could use the mentioned serial number on that page to start the install. The install completed without any issues. I kept my Mac on during the night so Acrobat Pro would update itself (it did indeed). Wh

I am on a free trial of Acrobat Reader Pro so I can try and make some small changes to a pdf file. One of those is to sub and superscript a few characters but I can see nowhere that allows me to do this. I appreciate that functions have changed in recent times, such as Baseline Shift, but recent forum posts have still indicated that sub and superscription of characters is still available. I attach a grab of my tools bar. Thanks Julian

Is it possible to get the attention of the developers to have the below bug fixed? It's been a thing for years. When you right click a tag to add alternative text, and you start typing, and you press the "open bracket" key in the keyboard, which is what Spanish-speaking users have to do in order to add accentuation marks to vowels (á, é, etc.) the application freezes. It is reproducible on every version of the app I have tried for the last few years. Sometimes, when you try to close the app, by right clicking on start menu and closing app, the app will unfreeze and let you save. Other times it just closes.

I did this already with a separate document for the same purpose (created 01/27/25) and had no issues with my dropdown fields options list. But today, 01/31/2025, I am having an issue where the form builder is recognizing the dropdown field as a date field. Every time I enter an options list item for the dropdown I get a warning box that the format is not matching date/time format. Below: 1st image is the second document which is having issues; 2nd image is from a separate document created exactly the same way but without any issues. I deleted all the dropdown fields, closed the document, reopened it and tried again but experienced the same issue. Is this perhaps a JavaScript error? How can I correct this?

I'm needing a phrase to be generated from a specific value range generated from a separate field within the same pdf form.  For example if the associated field (call it "Field X") generates a number between or including:34-57 the phrase generated is "Income with Capital Preservation"58-83 the phrase generated is "Income with Moderate Growth"84-99 the phrase generated is "Growth with Income"100-114 the phrase generated is "Growth"115-125 the phrase generated is "Aggressive Growth" Thank you in advance for your help!!

Hello, I'm having trouble with a PDF document script to reset fields when the document is opened on a different date than the date of the last edit.  I've tried the code below, but it didn't work for me.  Can someone here assist me with this? I am unable to open more than one file with Acrobat Pro DC. I can open the first PDF just fine, but opening a second causes the application to crash without warning. This problem has only started in the last day or two. Previously, I observed Acrobat crashing when moving the open window between monitors (removing from one and docking on another). I have tried this with many different files of varying size, restarted windows, and no luck so far. I am using version 2019.008.20080 on a Windows 10 Pro machine. Has anyone seen this or have any suggestions?

Hi.  I have a custom keystroke scipt to limit the text input field to numbers only.if(!event.willCommit) event.rc = !isNaN(event.change) || (event.change == "-" && event.selStart == 0); else event.rc = !isNaN(event.value);I would also like to limit the input to 4 characters and restrict the first 2 digits to a number between 00 and 23 and the second 2 digits to a number between 00 and 59.  Is there a way to split the 4 digit number into 2, to limit the input to achieve a time field with the format HHMM? var t1 = Number(start.substr(0,2)); var t2 = Number(start.substr(2,2)); 

Using Acrobat PRO I'm simply adding 6 PNG images to create one PDF file. I've tried  several times, both online and using the software. Each time, a random number of the resulting PDF pages are tiny, while the rest are the correct size. When I close then reopen the file, the problem is still there. There is no difference whatsoever in the specs of the 6 PNG files I'm uploading. They're all the same dimensions and approximately the same file size. They're all greyscale. The pages that come up tiny are random (usually 2 or 3 of the 6) each time I recreate the PDF. The first page is always fine, second page always tiny, then random for the rest. How do I prevent this happening?

Hi, I am a very new Adobe user and am trying to figure out how to have my Employee Review form auto calculate when the managers add their scores in.I have 6 text fields that are formatted as Number, (Text Field Names: Safety Score, Quality Score, 5S Score, Productivity Score, CI Score, Attendance Score).I have created a Total Points field, and an Average Points field, and tried to use the Calculate Tab, 'Value is the SUM of the following fields' and 'Value is the AVERAGE of the following fields' (respectively) and attempted to Pick the ones that I want used, but the selections that I make never stay selected when I hit okay.I am not well versed in Java to try to write my own script.Any assistance would be much appreciated! I'm trying to do something that should be simple, but it's not working. FIRST I think I have the right code, but not sure: var frequency = this.getField("1_Year").value;if (frequency == "Off") {Amount.value = "100";}else if (frequency == "On") {Amount.value = "200";} Would this output "100" into field "Amount" for off and "200" for on? SEDCONDLY: when I type this into a custom calculation field and hit ok, acrobat closes the window as if it's accepted it, but when I look at the box, it has gone back to "value is not calculated", which is obviously not what I want. Any help?

Hello! I had a question regarding saving an image from Trimble Business Center software as a PDF using Adobe. I reached out to the Trimble support team, thinking it may be an issue within the software, but it appears it is an Adobe setting and not a Trimble setting since they are able to save the file using a different PDF conversion software without this issue. There is a thick orange line around my area, although the line weight is not nearly this thick in my Trimble software. See screenshots below so you can hopefully understand what I mean. I googled this, and I found to go to adobe settings, page display, and unclicked the “enhance thin lines” but it did not fix the issue, and I really thought it was going to be that simple! Do you have any other suggestions of how do I get rid of this thick line when saving as a PDF using Adobe? It really gets in the way when there are smaller areas to show, and it doesn’t because the line is there.  This is what the

This PDF was created from a PowerPoint in MS 365, which I assume is the first problem, but now when opened in Acrobat Pro, these links to a community fundraiser (yes, for SuperBowl Sunday) are appearing. How do I get rid of them? The usual little hand appears over the link, but it did not come through in the screen capture -- this rollover text appears on all of the links. Thank you for any help you can provide in getting rid of / turning off this feature!  

To Whom it May Concern, I am trying to get some assistance with both, mulitple dropdowns list working together with mulitple cases conditions within those same dropdowns list , but I am unable to find the correct solution. I have three dropdowns fields. Dropdown 1,  Dropdown 2, and Dropdown 3. Dropdown 1 list is independent of any other dropdown fields, or text boxes.  Dropdown 1 list contain two digit values, ("01", "02", "03", "04",  etc..) Dropdown 2 list is supposed to be dependent on the result of what was picked from Dropdown 1 list. Dropdown 2 list also contains a list of two digit values, ("01", "02", "03", "04",  etc..) I have some quetions about how to make our complex order forrm be able to: 1. Calculate totals according to radio button selections:- Base Cost + Upcharges by selection choices (radio buttons and Personalization Text Fields): Extened sizes and premium garments etc. Each item will be unique. See attached order form.-  Also, I need to know how to protect the document so when it is sent out and completed, the customer can send it in and the selections they have made are protected and cant "Accidently" be changed if we happen to click on the form.- Java Script ? How easy is it to learn how to write? is there a good tutorial I should access for any scripts that need to be made? Usually our forms have around 16 items, that are customizeable.
