Hello, I'm trying to prep a simple contract to be signed by my client(s). I created a signature field (for myself) that marks all form fields as "read only" except for the signature fields for the client(s). However, when I go through the prompts for the signature requests, the fields that were "locked" show up as being able to edit by "anyone". I know I can use the "prefill" text tag to assign myself, but this created an extra step in the sending process where I have to click "Start" and then "Send". I'd like to avoid this, if possible. Once I sign (before requesting signature), the read only form fields shouldn't be editable by the signer(s), correct? However, they still are. Is there a way around this without using the prefill text tag?

Is there a way to secure a PDF form so that a user is prevented from copying it with all the form fields and the work that went into creating dynamic form field content (math and duplicate fields, etc.) built into the form with other people?  I'd like to make and sell pdf legal forms, but I'm worried after searching online about pdf security that a password is easily removed from pdf documents.  Any ideas about how I could prevent sharing of my pdf form except for the person who paid to use it?  Without being able to prevent sharing of the pdf form, it wouldn't be worth putting in the effort to make a detailed and dynamic pdf form since I couldn't charge for something that would eventually be available for free from other users of the form if they can just copy and share it.  I don't have thousands to spend on a server or other possible solution.  Any creative ideas?

I just purchased a 2023 imac 24" and a mackbook pro laptop running M3 chips. I have them set up as mirror images of each other. I'm having an issue on my desktop tha I am not having on my laptop. when I try to print a PDF from Acrobat the distiller launces and crashes both apps, it works fine on my laptop. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and same thing. I should say I am running from Creative Suite - sot it's all downloaded from the same place. Can anyone give a suggestion as to how to fix this. My 2nd issue is happenign on both computers. When I try to export PDFs using a preset I have used for over a year to prep files to upload to a print shop using plates will no long allow me to use the 1.3 compatability setting which the printer says they have to have to file accuracy. How do I gt around this I prep files for a magainze and are on weekly deadlines.  PLEASE HELP! attached is the setting I've been using for over a year and now doesn't work.

I'll start off with I'm using Designer.... I have 5 check boxes that must be checked on a form. When searching and selecting text on Android I get a clean output; however, in the desktop program I get this sort of output "O U T P U T." I opened the same file with the different programs; however, this would be useful for searching large 300+ page manuals.

I'm creating a fillable form for mileage calculations. For example, I have a table for mileage: sports center to middle school is .3 miles, sports center to senior high 2.1 miles, etc. I want people to enter location to location, and the mileage gets entered automatically. I'm fairly new to Adobe and very green with javascript. I would appreciate help. thank you 

over 40-odd pages in a document. I can create multiple copies, but only to a maximum of approx 25 on one page. I can duplicate the boxes over multiple pages, but then they are duplicates not individual fields so if I tick one box it'll tick them on all the other pages. I want to keep the root name the same for all the checkboxes as I want to write a script at the end to summarise them all - but I can't do this if I copy and paste the checkbox. Is there a better way of doing this, or do I just have to copy & paste my checkboxes and select fields at the end for the summary? Thank you

I've tried so many differe scripts and none are working.Per the picture, I need the following:if 2E (which will be hidden) = "Y", then get the value of 2D, etc.Then total all values that have a "Y" in 3A.

I pay for Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, largely to be able to redact.  I am running it on a MacBook Pro which is running MacOS Mojave 10.14.16.  I can use the tool to redact, but when I apply the redactions, it makes the entire page blank except for the black boxes where the redaction has been applied.  Obviously, this is a problem, since I need to see the rest of the page.  I have tried doing it more than once, and tried different ways of effectuating the redaction and get the same result every time.  It looks like this: . 

Hello, I have some enrollment forms that contain a lot of fields for dates. The date fields are set up as 3 separate fields that can be tabbed through. I have no issues with the months and days but when inputting the year 2000 (2 zeroes), the field only populates with 1 zero. Is it possible to get 2 zeroes? 01/01/00. The client requested 2 digit years and the client called this issue out so I need some sort of solution. There are many instances across numerous forms. The file was built in InDesign but all functionality is done in acrobat. Thank you!!!

I just purchased the Adobe Acrobat Premium (monthly). One of the features is for me to have the ability to edit PDFs. But when I try to edit one file, it prompts me to buy Adobe Acrobat Pro. This is frustrating. Does anybody know here what to do? I attached here a video of the screen record

When I have a document open and I have edited it, when I click on the X to exit, it asks if I want to save. Whenever I click 'dont save' it highlights 'save' and saves the information when I didnt want it to be saved. Any idea why?

Hi Guys, First of all thanks in advance for any help with this issue. I have a form that our staff uses to quote for jobs. I have the form set that once our staff member digitally signs it, it turns all the other fields to read-only. A section of this form needs to have 10 checkboxes which are tasks for the job we are quoting for. For each quote, any amount of these checkboxes can be selected.  What I want it to do is say I select 3 of these checkboxes when our staff digitally signs it I only want the 3 checkboxes to be shown and the others will be hidden is this possible?

Using Adobe Acrobat Pro, with the option to use "old acrobat" enabled. The problem I am having is when I am trying to make fine adjustments to a form field when zoomed in, when I move the field the screen dramatically moves to the right or left after I let go of the mouse button. What do I have to do/change to make this behavior stop? Thanks.

Until recently I could open any .pdf file on my computer with just double clicking the file on Windows 10.  Then one day that didn't work, instead it would show a miniature view of the document in the right side of the screen. Then if I double clicked a second time, it would open.  I looked at the Edit/Preference page, I don't see anything that would change it to opening on the first double click.  Can anyone tell me what I'm missing?   

Is it possible to define a white textbox after a text. I tried to do it in a pdf with constuction drawings. But it doenst work. Not with a rechtengular box and the textbox over it and not with the point out function (then white is transparent).Any adiveses how to do it?Best regardsMarius

I have the problem that when i use the measurement tool on a pdf socument it works correctly but i cant change the size or color of the numbers from the measures. I know that there was a workaround with a textbox where i can define the designations and then copy it to the commentary section of the measures. But it doenst work anymore. Hi all we recently upgraded some of our users to the latest Adobe Pro (2024.002.20759). One of our user has a weird problemPlatform=Windows 10 22h2 The user in questions created several fillable PDF (with a 2017 Pro version) that she modifies overtime, recently, after her migration to the new version, she started to have issues where she could do some modification but after a while, the PDF woulf say that the document was read-only and the save-as option would not even work giving out errors. On my side, i can look through Active directory to see which files a user is opening but for that specific person, i could not see her opened PDF. If we stop everything, open the same file, i see her in the file on my side, she starts to modify but after a while, same thing, it's like she never opened the PDF, it's just on her session and she can't save it in any way.-The windows preview pane is not set on this machine so it doesn't lock up the PDF-no one is opening the file.-T

I'm trying to insert a schematic sectional drawing in PDF format, that I created in Autodesk Inventor (see attached), as a high-resolution image into a Word document. However, this apparently simple task seems to be ridiculously cumbersome. I tried some different file formats and conversion tools but couldn't achieve satisfactory results so far. Does Acrobat Pro DC have the latest accessibility checker update of WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) 2.1? The WCAG 2.1 update was released in June of 2018, but it's unclear to me if the latest Acrobat Pro products have that update included or not. Does anyone know if that will be included in an Adobe update or will it need to be downloaded separately to have the latest version WCAG 2.1 for the accessibility checker?
