Over the last several updates, one problem has persisted: Acrobat lags until it freezes for several seconds on opening any file — gigabyte-sized print files or a tiny invoice, same result. The file displays, but I can't even manage to click "Print" before it locks up, sometimes for 10, sometimes even up to 60 seconds.This isn't a machine problem — I can run InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop simultaneously without issue (13600K, NVIDIA GPU, 64GB RAM, NVMe). I can even fire open all those three apps while Acrobat is in its hibernation status (tested). Once Acrobat is open, it's fast — opening, scrolling, editing multiple files is fine. The freeze only happens on a fresh launch/open.What fixes it (temporarily): Deactivating plugins I don't use — Dropbox integration, Accessibility, etc. — restores performance immediately. Table of Contents generated in Adobe Indesign is not being read in the Read Out Loud function in Acrobat. This also applies to PDFs created previously which worked fine on the old version of Acrobat.

So I need access to a contract I signed using Adobe Acrobat Sign. The email it was linked to no longer exists as it was a student email that was deleted (by university admins) after I graduated. Foolishly, I don’t have a copy of the contract anywhere else and anytime I request a new copy it sends it to the non-existent email. How can I link the contract to my current email so that I can access it again? Thanks!

I'm using Acrobat Pro 2022.003.20281 on a Mac OS 12.5. In past versions I could dock the Quick Actions Toolbar to the top of the window, but in this version of Acrobat, it hovers in the upper left, sometimes covering art that I need to see when zooming in. Is there a way to dock it so it isn't hovering, or at least temporarily hide it? The attached image shows how it is "floating" above the window. I need it to not float so it doesn't cover my PDF workspace. Thanks!  

Created a PDF form with editable text fields and image fields for client to upload photos. This form works fine on my own computer but when sent to the client they cannot upload photos.They are using a computer and Adobe Acrobat/Reader to complete the form. The text fields all work fine but they cannot click inside the image box to upload a photo.Here is the editable PDF form attached. The image upload pages are page 5 and page 6.

 Adobe Student Spaces AI - Not able to download the study guide generated as a pdf. When I tried to download, it's showing "failed to download as pdf". I was able to download in the past, but it’s not working now. I tried from different devices too. 

I have been happily using Acrobat DC Pro for at least a decade and have always been amazed at its efficiency and effectiveness. Until this week. All I wanted to do was combine two appropriate documents to create one new one. I haven done that before many times. It would not do it and told me I had a new version of DC on my computer that apparently is DC (Continuous) which I have to use. First problem then was I had never heard of this version and certainly didn't install it. I went hunting in my apps and found I had 64 bit version installed in my computer (1.14GB) in the list of installed apps.  It was dated May this year. Okay, so perhaps it came in as an update to DC (2015). The issue now is I can't find any way to start Continuous to discover how to do a job that I could - until this week - do easily with my good old DC version 1118-1008-8043-9167-4006-4905. Please help me start this Continuous version, or tell me if I can get rid of the upgrade so my earlier version works as usual.

Hello there,I am repeatedly encountered the issue, that Adobe crashes, when I try to edit an existing PDF regard font type or font size. This happens on multiple PDF documents.I am using Adobe Acrobat:Architecture: x86_64 Build: 20.5.30774.10774 AGM: 4.30.122 CoolType: 5.14.5 JP2K: 1.2.3.54783I have an MacBook Air (Apple M4) with macOS Tahoe Version 26.5I have attached the error log, which Adobe reports after the crash.Hope you can help fix this, as it is really annoying :-( 

Hello! I am having trouble with this as well. Raise without quitting etc when I try to open the application. 

I just need to correct a link that was mistyped so that the hyperlink works correctly when someone clicks it. As far as I can tell, the only way to do this is to completely recreate the entire document. Otherwise the link will remain even if you delete the entire line of text it’s in. I’ve been searching adobe’s useless help pages for an hour trying to fix it. You can’t contact them for ANYTHING! Everything is just, “go back to our “customer service” page and tell us how much more money you want to give us!” I think this company is shit and if you can avoid it you should. Honestly how much more difficult does life need to be? They also constantly log you out of the software because god forbid you look at a PDF without a software license. I hate this company and I hate this software.

I had bought acrobat XI Pro on line for 2 people. I could install on my laptop and cellphone as well. My computer crashed,I managed to recover some information but can’t find anything usefull to reinstall. I want to use it on my new Windows 10 laptop. How do I find a serial number or product key to do the installation.The ProXI is still working on my cellphone. Is there a way to find the information on my cell phone?

Hi,I’ve noticed a number of changes from the latest Acrobat update, including the disappearing scroll bar when viewing a pdf on my monitor, rather than my laptop. When I view a pdf on my laptop, my scroll bar will always appear. When I shift my file over to view on my monitor, the scroll bar disappears and only appears if I hover over it intentionally. Below is a screenshot of my file displayed on my monitor with no scroll bar appearing.This is incredibly inconvenient as I merge files all the time and rely on the scroll bar to know approximately where I am in any given document. For troubleshooting, I updated display and view settings, continuous, single-page, the whole sha-bang, and nothing worked that would make the scroll bar appear at all times when viewing on my monitor.Help!  

I just got off an extended chat and screen share with Adobe support. "Disable new Acrobat" is not listed in the View menu of Acrobat 2024 Classic Release for Mac. The support rep tried in vain to fix it. He obviously did not know the feature is missing. After driving my computer he basically said "that's the way it is". Anyone else seeing this issue? Can Adobe address it? I can dream, can't I?

Title basically explains what happened. I think Acrobat and Cloud updated but I’m not sure if there’s just an outage or if somehow my account reset with an update or what happened. I’m on Mac if that’s helpful to know and on the desktop app for both. Any way to recover the files would be greatly appreciated

Adobe PDF Acrobat Sheets pasting issue In Adobe PDF Acrobat, after copying and pasting 30-40 pages, the automatic paste option doesn't appear. I can't do this while copying pages. Don't misunderstand me.

Users are reporting that Acrobat and Reader is not opening during a Citrix seamless session. When assisting users we have clear users acrobat.exe process that is running in the background. Once clear the user can use adobe again. This issue is very inconsistent making it almost impossible to get Procmon logs. We are seeing this trend when users are working within an adobe document for some time, close the PDF and reopen a new one.This issue has been persistent since summer 2025. Hello, every week I have to edit pdfs and in the past few months I have been running into an issue. When I click 'edit pdf' and select my text to move it around on my page, there are some invisible white squares that in some sections that block the text. I can move the text up to the front to make it visible, but I was wondering if there was some way to see what these squares are so I can delete them. I can't seem to select them and Adobe can't detect a background in the pdf.

Hello folks One of our departments had bought the Acrobat Adobe licence so they could use a feature called mail merge in Word. This allowed them to convert multiple documents to PDF’s then email them out in bulk. Since the Win11 upgrade, they no longer see the Adobe add-in in Word, but instead see something called ‘Document Cloud’ in the ribbon, which simply lets you convert one document into a PDF. Has anyone found a way to get the Adobe mail merge option back? We’ve tried disabling and reenabling the add-in, but only the Document Cloud which looks like the replacement for the old add-in disappears and reappears. We’ve ensued Adobe itself is open and the customers are signed in. Any advice? Thank you! Kat 

Hi, We bought a perpetual license in 2015 for 170 users. The definition of perpetual license is a license grants the purchaser the right to use software indefinitely, with no expiration date We are less that 10 years into our license and we can no longer use our licenses purchased. After talking to several departments I was in touch with the perpetual license department where ultimately they pointed me to make a post here. I was told As the product is outdated I am unable to transfer to the dedicated team. Hence I request you to post you query and our dedicated team will get in touch with you. I am hoping to get this resolved as Adobe should have had a solution already in place for changing their licensing for those "grandfathered" in to a perpetual license.

Where has the select form fields tool (the black arrow) gone?The new Acrobat is really annoying because it’s still missing some basic features.After all this time, it’s incomprehensible.I’ve tried to get used to it again, but once more I’m going to “Disable new Acrobat”…☹️  

Hello,My Adobe Acrobat was recently updated, and now there is a small box popping up showing the page number and following the slider, whenever I scroll. When I stop scrolling it disappears again.The problem is that if I scroll in the side next to the pop up, and my pointer accidentally points at the label as I scroll, it will stop scrolling as ‘I am now pointing at the label’ (I am guessing) – which is quite annoying.Does anyone know if I can disable this pop up diplsaying the page number? I also find it a bit silly, as the page number is already displayed on the right side of the application either way. GIF of the issue 

At the agency where I work, we create a lot of PDFs from Indesign that are in other languages. When I use the accessibility checker on these in Acrobat, I've been having a character encoding fail on several languages. They seem to all be ones where the characters include little flourishes either below or above the character – so like Punjabi, or Thai, or Khmer. Typically we use Noto Sans from Google, so it’s definitely unicode, and of course we are using the world-ready composer, and exporting with the correct language assigned. All that required stuff. It’s not solving this.Does anyone have any suggestions?

Why the everliving fkuc is some bullsith, unwanted, uneccessary antivirus software being shoveled onto my computer when I attempt to upgrade Adobe?   I EXPLICITLY selected the opt-out option and was STILL forced to uninstall some BS McAfee program!  This goes against every aspect of consumer trust when you are TRICKING people into downloading this terrible garbage.  It is the most slimy, backhanded, untrustworthy business practice and anyone asscociated with Adobe should be deeply ashamed of themselves.  I have uninstalled every adobe product and service and I encourage everybody to do the same.  I need help understanding how a company with such supposed repute would employ such backhanded, disgusting business tactics.  Fcuk Adobe and FKUC McAffe antivirus.
