I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (Version 2018.009.20050) on a Mac Mini running macOS High Sierra (Version 10.13.2) and I used to be able to use the Comment tool to add shapes to drawings and reports...I used to insert the shape, and then I was able to go to properties, and when I would click on the Fill Color, there was an option/check box to make it transparent. That option is no longer there and I don't know why it just disappeared. Now when I try to insert a circle to show an area, it just covers up what I'm trying to circle and there's no way for me to remove the fill color (I can only change it to be a different color). ??? Please help! This is so irritating!!
Using Adobe Acrobat 2025.001.21111 I am working on developing a form that I started from InDesign. When I went to update the font of a form field, to use a font (Fort, Fort Black) from Adobe Fonts, I get a message that “The selected font cannot be embedded in the PDF file….” I am confused about why this is happening, especially when the Adobe Fonts site says “We’ve got you covered: Fonts are licensed for personal and commercial use; review the full Terms of Use. … PDFs: Embed fonts in PDFs for viewing and printing” How can this be resolved?
Can I create fillable number field and convert to words automatically
The cross-document hyperlinks from our InDesign documents do not work after the exported PDFs are combined into a single PDF. (Some of the hyperlinks are already not working before the file combination, while others are. All are created the same way within InDesign.) The original design documents are InDesign Docs A, B and C. All software is current and up-to-date.The structure is basically: Links 1 and 2 are in Document A, Links 3 and 4 are in Doc B and Links 5 and 6 are in Doc C.In the PDF of Doc A, Links 1, 2, 3 and 4 all work, but 5 and 6 do not. In PDF Doc B, only 3 and 4 work, and in PDF Doc C, only 5 and 6 work. In the combined PDF of A, B and C, only Links 1 and 2 work.
I bought Acrobat XI Standard perpetual license over 10 years, a physical disk. I just finally got a new computer after 12 years and the new computer wants me to to deactivate the license on the old computer so I can use it on the new computer. I did deactivate it. I am trying to reactivate it on the new computer but I don’t know which email address I must have used to originally register it. I have tried all my active email accounts, but with no luck. I have reached out to Adobe and they no longer offer phone support for this product and my support via email has not been great at all with Adobe. They told me to post to this community for help. Any suggestions? Calling Adobe is useless as it states they new longer offer phone support for this product and then the phone call ends.
I have about 8 Acrobat Pro users getting a "Cannot find or create font 'Arial-BoldMT'. Some characters may not display or print correctly." error for multiple different fonts when opening multiple different documents. I have verified that the fonts are installed in Windows Settings, tried deleting font cache in Windows File Explorer, repairing Acrobat, and uninstalling/reinstalling Acrobat. Uninstalling/reinstalling works temporarily, but the issue quickly returns.
I am using the latest Acrobat version (2025.001.21184 | 64bits) on my PC running Windows 11.I added a video to a PDF (mp4 x264) and then, everytime I tried to play it in Acrobat, it crashed…I found this ancient topic from 5 years ago : As suggested in the topic, changing my Windows settings so that Acrobat is forced to use the integrated graphics instead of my Nvidia GPU (force power saving option in System > Display > Advanced graphics options), solved the issue. Now, I am supposed to send this PDF to clients, I can't expect them to lose 2 hours of their time to look for the same solution online. How is it possible that after all these years this bug is still not fixed??How is it possible that having to put a video in a PDF feels like fighting against ancient alien technology? It's 2026 and one would expect such a basic functionality to work flawlessly…Seriously, is anyone at Adobe actually trying to improve and fix the tools or are you guys only focusing on forcing more useless AI
When printing any documents. Even print to pdf i get the same error “Drawing error Occurred” . I have taken steups to check updates. Repair instalation. an still having the same issues on multiple devices and different pdf documents.
I have used a few email to PDF softwares for Mac and Windows (for eg, PDFen.com), but none of them have performed very well. Moreover, i don't trust online tools due to data privacy. Also they does not allow to bulk convert emails to pdf, or they don't maintain the formatting, or they crash while trying to convert 20 or more files. If someone has a recommendation of a solid Email to PDF converter that works well on both Mac and Windows, I would appreciate it!
I formatted my Asus Vivobook running Windows 11 Home. After that, I can’t log in to the Adobe desktop app, only through the Chrome extension. How can I fix this and log in directly through the Windows application?
I can’t get updates for my Adobe Acrobat on macOS for a while. I’m using Help - Check for update for manual update control but I get an error saying “ An error occurred. Please check for updates again later. Error: 1782”Currently I’m on Acrobat version 2025.001.20937 and macOS 26.3 (M1 Pro Macbook Pro)Does anyone have any idea what may be the reason?
I've noticed that if I take a PDF with clickable website URLs and then use Acrobat to save a certified copy (by selecting “E-Sign” and then “Save a certified copy”) , then afterwards the website URLs are no longer clickable. They are still formatted as URLs (blue colour and underlined), but they're no longer clickable. Is there a way I can preserve clickable website URLs?
I have Adobe Studio and it works on my Mac. I cannot get the Premium features on my iPad. Any suggestions as how to proceed? I have logged out, shut down my iPad and restarted. I logged back into my account and it shows the image capture below. When I ask it to restore purchases, it cannot find any.
I have installed Adobe Acrobat X on a new computer. The software indicates that the activation limit has been reached. Further it asks me to deactivate the software on the old computer. I did this. However the new installation does not acknowledge that. It keeps asking me to deactivate the software on the old computer despite the fact that I already did it. How do I get the software activated?
Once upon a time….I published a book using then-new POD/PQN technology (1999). I created the book using QuarkXPress 3.31r5, that I no longer use. It was a fairly complex layout with multiple fonts used (one might say it was “over designed,” but I am unwilling to denigrate my former self). Several of those old fonts were Type 1 fonts, no longer supported in printing workflows. The book needs to be prepared for reprint for the author’s backlist. I have access to the old backup files but may not have access to a machine to run the old version of QuarkXPress under which the file was originally built. I can substitute current versions of some of the fonts used, on my present system—in fact, I just acquired the current version of Adobe Garamond Pro (the body copy for 80+% of the novel); alas, the old .pdf file (created back in the day, sometime in 1999) still does not render Garamond when I display it on my system (Mac OS Monterey, using Apple Preview). Preview shows instead a Times NR-like f
Hi, why is adobe using nearly 90% of my systems RAM while i am managing my document? every time i make some changes in the organize pages, it does new minature previews and the ram usage counter is rising up? The document is only 26 pages great. When i deinstall and reinstall the software, the ram usage is barely climbing, but once i add another page, it uses the double amount of ram. Very strange error. Im open for Adobe Alteratives.
I'm trying to fill a PDF file with data coming from XLSX or CSV, can someone help?
What is the deal?
I'm attaching the message that appears when we try to open a specific PDF. The problem is that it disappears, and then no message appears that the installation has finished. However, the PDF still doesn't open correctly. We've already tried reinstalling the app.
Hi All. It has been brought to my attention that this website presents SSL warnings when end users try to access it. I believe the reason is that the FQDN hasn’t been included in the SAN. Is anyone else noticing the same thing?
Every pdf I create - from a Word document or create blank page - has a yellow background. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and it hasn't fixed it. Version 2021.007.20091.When opened in another program, they are normal white, so the problem is viewing/display.
Good morning, So, I use Adobe for the multitude of PDF’s I get on the daily. However (and I don’t know how many times this has caused me issues in the past or made me look foolish, as I have never noticed this before) when I went to view many of my previous doc’s one after another, towards the end (there were lots) I realised that Adobe was opening documents at the last place I was on when I closed it last, i.e. at the bottom. Considering I was just scrolling down to see if a certain doc was present before closing them, I likely missed the one I wanted. I personally think this is a terrible feature, but others may find it useful, so no judgements. However, to the point of the matter. I searched how to turn this feature off, only to find that it was one I had to specifically turn on to stop another issue previously, (How do I stop Adobe from changing my view and page settings because of the settings used when the document being viewed was created?). The issue with that is that I am
Hello everyone,I am writing on behalf of a government entity and National Root Certificate Authority (CA) based in the Middle East.Since April 2025, we have been attempting to contact the Adobe Approved Trust List (AATL) team via the official email address: aatl-info@adobe.com. We have sent several follow-up inquiries over the past few months regarding the status of our AATL application/onboarding process; however, we have yet to receive a response or an acknowledgment of receipt. As a national-level provider, it is critical for us to align our digital signature services with Adobe’s trust standards to ensure our citizens' signed documents are natively trusted within Adobe Acrobat and Reader. We understand that the AATL team likely handles a high volume of requests, but given that nearly a year has passed since our initial outreach, we are concerned about the status of our communication.Could the community or an Adobe representative please guide us on the following: Is aatl-info@adobe.co
Adobe Acrobat : Acrobat ProContinuous Release | Version 2025.001.21184 | 64-bitPDF Documents that are scanned, give this error upon opening in PDF reader. “Cannot find or create the font TimesNewRomanPSMT. Some characters may not display or print correctly”We have tried all the solutions that are provided in the forum for this issue. We have also un-installed Adobe, rebooted, re-installed the latest version. Updated Windows to the latest patch there is. Also updated the local machine updates via manufacturer (HP-HP Support Assistant, Dell-Dell Command Update, Lenovo-Lenovo System Update). So far none of the solutions seem to work. It looks like a repetitive problem but no older solutions seem to resolve it. Any help will be appreciated.
