Using RoboHelp 2020.3.32. Generating to Responsible HTML5 Output. Just updated our site using RoboHelp 2020 (was in 2019).  Our Table of Contents has pages with hyperlinks to other sections of the site. RoboHelp 2019 had the traditional option to open the link in the saame frame, parent frame, new window, etc. That option is no longer there for the links in the TOC. The very big issue is that all of these links are opening in the frame - these sites have their own TOC. Therefore, there's a main TOC and another TOC opening in the frame. Can someone please tell me how to get these links to open in a new window? I've tried everything I can think of (by manipulating the URL). Unfortunately, we now have to go live with the site this way in the morning so any help would be greatly appreciated. 

Hi All, We have added a mini TOC in the Project which donot need an indentation for Mini TOC on the page (Responsive help). For example, if we have heading 2, heading 3, heading 4 and so on on the page, then we want all those headings or atleast heading 2-4 to be included in the minitoc; but the mini toc must not be indented. Hi, is it possible to import a series of Zendesk Knowledge Base articles into RH in order to create an offline CHM from it?

Does anyone know if the Chrisi skin can be used in RH 2020? This is a skin we have used with webhelp for many years, but it does not seem to be available in RH 2020. When I try to add an HTML5 skin, Chrisi is not one of the skins available. If I use the Skin Import function and navigate to my RH2017 project in the !SkinSubFolder!/Chrisi folder, chrisi.skn is not recognized because the import function is looking for only skz and slz files.

Hello,We are soon going to be officially moving to the RH2020/latest upgrade. We have been using RH 2017 to get a responsive HTML5 output until now.After we move to the latest upgrade/tool there will be a while/some transition period until we start the new frameless output. We still want to be able to use the existing source in the RH 2020 upgrade to generate the responsive html5 output, similar to what we used to get in 2017.Can the Responsive HTML5 output from RH 2020 upgrade give us that? Does this output work the same as it would if generated from RH 2017?

Maybe I'm missing something but I can't find any documention on how to create a permanent link to a help topic. The links seem to be related to the folder location and file name of the topic.  What I would like to not have happen is have someone move a topic to another folder and then break a whole bunch of links across applications.

Facing issues in viewing the html output of the user manual generated using RoboHelp9 when opened in Chrome browser from a Chromebook; whereas the html output file is working fine when opened in Chrome browser from a Windows system.  Please let me know how to resolve this issue.  

Hi guys, I want to remove some elements from our custom skin, created from a template.For example: we want to remove logo and header from the home page and header from the topic page.I tried to make them transparent, but the header and logo are the links to a home page and their boxes still there and clickable.Customizing skin file gives 0 results, cause will robo re-write it after generating.Is there a good way to add/remove/edit this elements from a skin?

Hello all, I have a question, as per the attached, when i output to "Frameless" its a beautiful thing, I've learned how to edit the skin but I would like to change the generic icons to photos or my own icon. Hello RoboHelpers, Let me state/restate at the outset that I do not like how Adobe does their Search in responsive HTML5 in RH 2017! Frail, finicky, and fraught with difficulty are some words/phrases that come to mind. It almost makes me want to go back to .chm output. At least the searching worked well there (*Sigh*). Okay, venting is hopefully done. Onto my issue... I have the latest RH 2017. I'm building a large merged responsive HTML5 output. We localize our English helps into 16 supported languages. For some reason, when we search on our webserver in our localized German, it doesn't give proper search results. For some words, it just spins forever. For other terms, it says it can't find search results. But the words are clearly in the Help, because we can browse to .htm pages with those terms. And yet for other terms, it does return at least some results. I don't get it. And the odd thing is that when I view the EXACT same set of files locally on my computer's

I am importing a book from Author-it to the RoboHelp. The book is saved in the XML format.I tried to import this XML file to RoboHelp using the importing tool in RoboHelp, but it failed. Below you can find the dialog box that shows the failure.It seems that RoboHelp cannot recognize the elements in this XML file. My knowledge on XML is quite limited. So should I first map the elements in the XML file to some elements that RoboHelp can recognize in order to import the XML file?Any input would be appreciated.  

Using Robohelp 2020. I am not sure if using the correct verbage but I want to be able to hover over text or an image and have text show up. For example have a warning caution image then hover over it to see a warning message. I can't figure out how to do this in my project! Thanks so much!

I'm trying to generate an HTML5 output and get this error (Robohelp 2019). Anyone know why this might be? I already tried closing the project and opening it back up.   

I am using the Indigo html5 template that came with the 2019 release of Robohelp. I am all up to date on my upgdates but have not updated the Indigo template since I started working with it several months ago. When I click on the Add Favourites button, it behaves like the Favourites button, opening the Favourites list. I have to position the mouse about a whole icon over to the right from the Add Favourites button to get the Add Favourites function. When I hover directly over the Add Favourites button, the tooltip is for Favourites, not Add, and when I click, it is Favourites, not Add. Is there any way to fix this?Thanks.

Hi Everybody,I want to learn more about Robohelp 2019. I work in Robohelp on a consistent basis but am now starting to create my own web helps and need to learn more about setting up a project, skins, CSS, outputs, formatting etc.  Does anyone have anyone have recommendations for videos, online classes, etc. to learn more? Thanks, Julianna

Hi,  I'm using Robohelp 2019 (release) 14.0.14I'd like to know if it is possible to create an hyperlink that points to a bookmark located in a masterpage footer.If so, how can I do as masterpage do not appear in the content proposed into the insertlink dialogue? Thanks! Armelle

Saludos, Recientemente vengo trabajando en RoboHelp 2019 Classic, cuando realizo la compilación del proyecto en Responsive HTML5 genera el proyecto pero algunas de las imagenes no son visibles, anteriormente si se mostraban, no sé si es producto de un cierre inesperado de la aplicación que sufrí recientemente y que a lo mejor pudo cambiar la configuración. Que pendiente de una posible solución. In a list I hit SHIFT+ENTER and inserted a table with text for a note I want to stand out in the instructions. In the Word output, the text in the table is indented as expected but the left border of the table is not - it goes all the way to the left side of the page. This is in Robohelp 2020, specifically 2020.3.32.In Robohelp:In Word: This did work in RH11, so I'm thinking it's a bug. Is there anything I should do differently?

When in a bulleted/numbered list, I use SHIFT+ENTER to create a new line under the same bullet/number like this:The source looks like this:When I generate a Word output, the lines created by SHIFT+ENTER have an extra space at the beginning, like this:Am I supposed to do something differently from what I'm doing? Or is this a minor bug? This is in RH 2020.3.32.

Hello,I am using the indigo html5 template and want to filter content by product type. I have applied everything and had it working in one of the other html5 templates, but with indigo, I cannot get the option to filter to show up in the help pages, even when it is enabled through the build settings for html5. How can I get product filterting switch to show up in the indigo template? I am using Robohelp 2019 fully updated but I started working with the indigo template a few months ago - don't know if it would be affected by updates to the app install. Thanks!

Is there a comprehensive user manual for robohelp? 

I am using RoboHelp 2020. I can't create a cross reference link (a link to content in the same topic).  As I run through the process outlined in the RH user guide, I can create the bookmark.  When I try to link the cross reference text (e.g., for more infomation, refer to....)  to the bookmark, the cross reference text is replaced by the name of the bookmark???  I honestly do not understand what I'm doing wrong.  Please help!  This is really holding me up.  

Has anyone run into this issue?  After upgrading the big sur, i am getting the java not found error when trying to generate a PDF.Doing a /usr/libexec/java_home command in the terminal shows that the mac can see java.  I have tried reinstalling java, removing and reinstalling etc - no change.  The PDF process was working fine prior to upgrading the OS. I am on RH 2020.3.36

I've been having issues configuring the Salesforce Lightning Knowledge integration. I have been able to successfully authenticate and choose items like article record type and data category, images successfully upload into Salesforce, but I get an error message when trying to publish a new topic/article. I am fairly new to RoboHelp and it's quite intuitive but there is one thing that eludes me.. How can I change to edit the start page? Attached is a screenshot of what happens when I output. Help. I am using Robohelp 2019
