Hi,I am using the Robohelp Reimagined UI for RH 2019 and am trying to generate a PDF using the TOC structure I've created. The Books service as Chapter Title pages and I want them to nest the topics within those books in the Bookmarks section of a PDF. I was looking through the Layout section for the option to do so, but I can't find it, and according to your help it should be there: https://helpx.adobe.com/robohelp/user-guide.html/robohelp/using/generate-pdf-output.ug.html See my image below for what I can see:Am I missing somthing? So far, I made some projects in which I merged another CHM. This worked perfectly until now.I merged the same CHM in another project but the result is not the same.The TOC of the merged help appears in the parent TOC but when I click a topic in the TOC, nothing happens. Double-clicking also does nothing. When I search for text from the merged CHM, then I find it and I can even click the result which shows the merged help topic. Also clicking a link in the merged help topic to another topic of the merged help works fine. When I then view the TOC and click Back and Forward, the merged help topic is selected in the TOC. However, clicking one of the already viewed merged help topics still doesn't show the topic.Up to now, I did not yet find any setting that is different between the good and bad projects.Hopefully someone if familiar with this problem and knows the solution.

HiI have a list that has a some dropdown text after step 3 and before step 4. However, I can't get step 4 to actually begin at 4. It reverts to 1. The General properties shows the list item value for "Restart numbering at" as 4, and the HTML looks OK to me: <ol class="List0" data-start="4" xmlns=""><li style="counter-reset: item1 3;" value="4">If you ... The ol class is the same as the the ol class for the top part of the list (items 1 to 3), but still the bottom part of the list starts at 1 when everything suggest that it shoudl start at 4. I must be missing something. Can someone please help? Geoffrey  

This is not my first time using robohelp 2015. This is actully a new help system that i created by importing topics from other help systems that are working fine. I have fixed all broken links except for one: if i change anything in the topic with the broken link and save an error appears "cannot create file". So i deleted that topic and created a new one (plz note that the File Name was filled automatically so i think even with deleting it is still saved somewhere) and i'm still getting the same error that shows just the file path and no reasons. With ignoring this is still get the file not found in my output which has happened before and i solved it by shortning the topic's title but now the title is already short.  I really need help with both issues plz. Why are topics not appearing in the output and why is there one topic that cannot be created.

Hi,The WebHelp created using RoboHelp 11 has the feedback and print options available on all the topics. When user clicks Feedback icon, it opens the desktop mail option and when user clicks on the Print icon, it connects to the printer tagged to the desktop.I do not have the file with me at present and I am trying to recreate the project. As far as I had been told, the feedback and print icons have code wrapped around it. I remember seeing a red square box whenever I click on the icon in the RoboHelp file. I never had the opportunity to learn how this was implemented as the person (who did the coding work) had moved out of the project.  I have found several instances online that points to the Insert HTML feature of RoboHelp. But I am not sure how to use this. Can somebody please provide me a step-by-step guide on how to implement the print and feedback options through code? Even a tutorial wherein the insert HTML feature is talked about would be most helpful. I am not able t

I am using RoboHelp 2017 with a 4K screen and find that topic content is not wrapping when I edit a topic. Please can someone explain how to get this feature back. I have recently installed the latest updates for this version, and I am not sure if this has caused the problem, or whether it is because of the 4k screen. I get the same problem on my second screen, which is not 4K. Thanks very much for any advice.

Hello,  I am getting a message when I open my project in Robohelp 2017 I have seen posts stating that I can try to create a backup then delete the .cpd file and re-open the project. I was wondering, is there any downside to this? Will this work in Robohelp 2017? I was also wondering, is there a known cause for this happening?  I appreciate any help. Thank you.  

I created a Robohelp project with a Frameless preset and Orange skin.Post to the o/p generation: when I opened the index.htm I can see only a blank page without any TOC tiles. Any suggestions will be appreciated. I am using RoboHelp 2019.0.14 

When generating outputs contains multiple topics like below, only Topic1 is showing in outputs. I've confirmed this behavior in .chm, HTML5 or PDF and all of them does not showed second topic. Is there anything I'm missing to do..? I'm using update 14.  

In Robo2017, I could right click a conditional tag and select the Used in tab to see what topics used the conditional tag. I can't see this functionality in the latest Robohelp. Is this available anywhere?

It looks like my company may have some training budget for next year. Can anyone recommend some UK training courses on Robohelp 2020? I have been using RH with the new UI for about 6 months now, so I feel I know the basics. However, I would love more help on master pages, skins, optimising and managing projects for online output, creating css styles and using stylesheets.

Hi Support Team,   I am really fed-up with the RoboHelp tool. Post to the output generation i cant able to view only blank home page File 1 PFA,   Also, I see in Task Manager (Background Processes) so many are running in background File 2 PFA,     Even though i ended those background processes and restarted the tool and PC. i am facing this issue. I see a lot of answers that state something is in version 2020 but not in 2019.  My question is, should version 2020 be what we use instead of version 2019?  

I'm getting a Word Output Error "Failed to copy /xxx/xxx.png" see screenshot.   I can hardly believe variables don't support images. We had different versions of the product and will have to use variables in our templates/books to include the proper image variation using variables. I know how to use a conditional but this is much more work than using a variable because I have to do it in every instance on every page instead of just referenceing a variable that I name "mobile icon" vs. "web icon", and yes they are different for the same control, so we need these to swap out and manage them from one location not all over the place.    Please suggest any workarounds.     [Attached image added to post as an image by moderator.]

Hi, Everyone. This isn't really a question for the forum. I'm almost postive this issue is a software issue. So, I want to contact Adobe.  It used to be easy to contact Adobe for software problems. But I can no longer find any way to contact them. Can anyone tell me how? My multi-level list style is malfunctioning. It actually isn't functioning, at all. I apply the style, then select the text I want to be indented as a sub-level, and finally press Tab. But nothing happens.  Also, another malfunction is the default style has a bullet superimposed by a number (screenshot, below). I can fix it in the CSS editor. But even after saving, it goes right back to the bullet superimposed by the number. thank you! SCREENSHOT

Hi, I just started having this problem where, when the doc's browser window is made smaller, I lose the index icon.  It just disappears.  Other icons, such as the TOC (3 lines) and Search remain visible and in their correct location. I'm not sure what has changed, other than I was having computer issues.  I can reproduce this on a re-generated project which did not previously have this issue.  For example, Version 1 index icon displays correctly, Version 2, 3, 4+ index icons do not.  When I open Version 1 and regenerate it, the problem now appears.  I did not change any settings and I can't remember the last time I went into the skin or screen layout folders. RH 2017 13.0.2.344, Responsive HTML  If I have to reinstall RH 2017 again, is there anything I should do with my files beforehand?  I've always just upgraded, never re-installed.  (not sure there's a difference in procedure, but I needed to ask!) Any ideas about

I generated Output as Word Document. When Word is opened and the document diplays, the bulleting is offset from the text. I cannot figure out how to correct this.

I upgraded a project into RoboHelp 2019. I am on a topic that contains bookmarks. In the previous version, if I clicked on a bookmark, it would take me to the area on the page. Now when I click a bookmark, it opens a new window and goes to the area on the page. So essentially I have two of the same topic open.  How do I control the bookmarks to simply go to a place within the topic? Thank you. 

Since W10 update yesterday when I compile my Robohelp 11 project search comes back with Failed to initialize database.Any ideas?CheersMax

Updated a Webhelp project originally created in RBH 2014. I have version 2019.0.14, using the new UI (not classic). In addition to keeping the Webhelp version of this fairly simple Help project updated (TOC, Index, maybe 20 total topics, nothing fancy), I also now need to create output that will work on mobile phones and tablets (Android and IOS). I should preface this by saying I'm not a RBH expert or advanced user...I rarely need to use RBH. For the mobile device outputs, creating apps for the Apple and Google stores is NOT an option, not wanted by our Developers. So I'm assuming I need to use Multiscreen/Responsive HTML5. I'm working my way through Peter Grainge's RoboHelp Tour. But in the meantime...I saw something in there about taking a look at the error log if Generation fails. I looked and the generation stopped either during or before the Index was "processed." It appears to have processed all the topics, but stopped after/on the Index. Is that of any significance? Any other t

I just "Upgraded Project RoboHelp Classic project" I went to the first topic I needed to update and the some of the bulleted items have an extra bullet. I removed the extra bullet but it removed them all. Now when I try to reinsert the bullets and tab to place the words where I want them, the tab key does not work. I tried using Properties/Alignment/Increase Indent but that does nothing. I went to the bottom of the topic to see if the tab key or Increase/Decrease Incdent works, but nothing happens.  I am afraid to do anything else for fear of really messing up the guide I am working on. I've never experience issues when upgrading a project to a new version in the past. I really hope I don't have to recreate this project from scratch as it very large. Thank you.

I created a project. I first had images saved as .jpg. I deleted all the .jpg images and then took new screen shots and saved them as .png. One one topic, the images are not displaying on the output. I deleted the images and reinserted them. That did not improve things. I then deleted the images from the Images folder within RoboHelp and reinserted them and then put them on the topic. Here is my topic: The images display when I preview the topic: This is what I'm seeing after I generate the output:Here is the HTML for the number 5 image:I am seeing a yellow triangle with exclamation point in it but it's also appearing for every image I have in my project so I'm not sure what that is about. Your help is appreciated. Michele

In a 286 page guide, publishing to Printed Documentation (PDF), noticed that the output went from 286 pages to 383 pages. The last 97 pages were duplicates of pages within the 286 original pages. Tracked down the cause: in Printed Documentation>Content there is a checkbox for "Include all referenced topics." Uncheck it, and the PDF output returns to 286 pages, the correct number, and no duplicates at the end. Since this guide project has several cross references to other topics within the publication, I suspect that if the checkbox were checked (which may be its default), these duplicate 97 pages are added at the end of the PDF. Maybe to assure that cross-referenced topics are included in the output, although, in this case, all of them were already appearing in the first 286 pages? A complex project, with output to PDF and online/HTML5, with separate TOC's for printed and online/HTML5, plus the latter using condition tags to exclude topics from a preview version that
