When our QA people call up our RH project and click the Search button, they get this message:Object doesn't support property or method 'forEach' Can anyone tell me what this means and how to fix it? Thanks
Created a new project and imported topics. When I generated and viewed the output, the table of contents displays on the right side instead of the left. How do we control this?
HiMy Robohelp 2017 - Stylesheet, Style dropdown box and font dropdown box is flashing continually flashing. I am unable to make a selection as it continually flashes. Is there a solution to this problem. I never had this issue in the past.ThanksMarylyn
Hello,The Azure_Blue layout that Robohelp 2015 provides works perfectly for my purposes, except the header. The generated content will be embedded in a web portal that already has a header of its own. I can make the background, font, and the logo white - making the header "invisible". But the empty space still looks too awkward. Plus, the sidebar already features a search function, so the search field in the header is unnecessary. Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you.-W
I am using Snag-It to take screen shots and saving them as .jpg. I then upload them into RoboHelp. Does RoboHelp 2019 accept other formats for images? Thank you.
I set up the Responsive HTML5 Layout and set the skin to Azure Blue. I edited the skin and went to Header. I uploaded a Logo. I also set the Glossary to None. When I generate the output, the logo does not display and the Glossary icon does display. Please explain what I've done incorrectly. Thank you.
Hi, Is there any way to turn off responsiveness for a Responsive HTML5 output in Robohelp 2019 Classic?According to one of Peter Grainge's articles (https://www.grainge.org/pages/authoring/rh_tour/rh2020/outputs/outputs_webhelp.htm), this is possible in RoboHelp 2020 with a simple click, but for the moment I would need to know how to do that in RoboHelp 2019 Classic. Thanks!
Hello RoboHelpers! We're using the latest version of RH 2017. We're re-designing our intro / default landing page that our users come to in our large HTML5 merged help system: Here's our Help in its full context view:https://docs.hexagonmi.com/pcdmis/2020.2/en/helpcenter/index.htm?#t=mergedProjects%2Fhelpcentertopics%2Fintro.htm Here's our Help if you open just the intro page in it's own tab:https://docs.hexagonmi.com/pcdmis/2020.2/en/helpcenter/mergedProjects/helpcentertopics/intro.htm What we're hoping to accomplish:If it's possible, we want to somehow add the layout's Search bar directly onto our intro/default page... like in this admittedly rough mockup when it's by itself:The idea is to make the Search bar more prominent. We're not against getting into the code and customizing things to do this, but we don't want to to spin our wheels if such a thing is not even possible. As a test, I found the area that holds the search bar is in the auto-generated index.h
RoboHelp 2017 freezes and stops working. The popup says "Generating content 'Content'... and freezes. If it helps, the "Output view" says "Processing Full-text search data..." and then that's when the popup appears.Another popup appears and says "Adobe RoboHelp 2017 has stopped working" and then I have to close the program.Any ideas as to why this could be happening? It does this with old projects and brand new.
I am trying to setup a Glossary in my project. I have the terms setup in glossary but cannot find the Glossary Wizard so i can autogenerate / populate the Glossary and index. Is it still in RH 2019? Also - is RH 2020 only for MAC? When i look at Updates on 2019 is says i am current at version .14 ?
Hi there,Simple question: Can a RH 2017 project (latest release) be imported and edited in RH 2019 Classic, and still work in RH 2017?I know with past version upgrades, a conversion happened so that it was no longer possible to edit a project with the previous version.Wondering if that is the case with RH 2017 and RH 2019 Classic. Thanks for info,Jeanne
I created a "Start Page" for our Responsive HTML5 output. The file Start_Page.htm resides in the same folder as my topic htm pages. When I generate the help, I get the following error message:"It may have been moved or deleted". Where does Robohelp expect this file to appear? I cannot find any information online.
Hi, Is there a way to convert an old style 'classic' .hhc file into a new style .toc file? By this I mean other than upgrading a 'classic' project to the new version (File > Upgrade RoboHelp Classic Project). Some of our help project files are auto generated by a script and the script currently outputs an .hhc. I would like to avoid having to ask Development to rewrite the process to generate the new format .toc. If the answer is no, so be it, but I would like to find out if I am missing anything first. Many thanks, Mark
It's me again.Concerning Bulleted Lists and images: The only way I can get the numbering correct is to place my cursor at the end of a line and insert the image. For instance:This is a numbered bullet and I want to insert an image under this step. I place my cursor here at the end of the line:|Here is a picture of what my guide looks like within RoboHelp: When I generated the Output and viewed it, this is what I see: If I hit enter and exit the numbering, the images display properly. But to keep the numbering synced, I don't know what else to do to keep the images from moving in the output.
Hi,I first tried to upgrade the 2019 project to 2020. The files were successfully upgraded.I then tried to Collaborate a connection with Sharepoint. The Sharepoint had the latest 2020 project files. It showed me the following error. It allowed me to Login and save the collaboration. When I tried to select the folder from the Sharepoint, it selects and clears the check box automatically. SOmehow I selected the folder location, created the repo on my laptop, and initiated the process. The folders and files were getting downloaded on my laptop but I lost the collaboration with Sharepoint and the error kept coming. Once the files were downloaded, it asked me upgrade the project again. Even though the files were latest, it asked me to upgrade. I upgraded but neither I could establish the Sharepoint connection nor I could edit the files. The error keeps reappearing. Even if I try to Restart RoboHelp, it keeps reappering.Has anyone faced this issues? Any solution?
How do I rename a project in RH2019 (new UI)?In RH2019 Classic it's simple: File > Rename Project (as it was in earlier versions),That option doesn't exist in the new UI, unless there's a secret trick to enabling it. 🙂The project concerned here is one I upgraded from RH2015 when I first started using RH2019 (new UI) a year or so ago.Reason needed:This isn't because I've changed my mind about the name, for example, but because I need to retain and edit the original project while working on a new copy: help for the next release of the same app, where there's considerable overlap. This has always been easy because we use Subversion for version control, so my workflow for a new app rlease has been:In SVN, branch from trunk, creating a duplicate copy (of, say, projectabc.rpj)So projectabc.rpj now exists in both trunk and bnanchDownload the branch copy to a new folder on my pcOpen my local branch copy in RH and rename it to projectdef.rpj in RH
I create a welcome page for all new projects. It gives a brief description of the documentation.I created a new project and I entered the above mentioned topic. I am able to center the Title but when I try to center the text, I am unable to do so. I clicked in the word Welcome, the Alignment option displays and I can center the word. I must highlight the text in order to see the Alignment option. When I click the Center button, the text does not center. How can I center the text on this page?
I have seen this question and issue in the community about the Webhelp not playing well in IE 11, but my RH2020 output is having the same issues discussed in older versions.... When the help is first opened in IE11, the TOC is there, but when you try to perform a search, the seach does not work and the TOC then disappears. I know there are fixes for older versions of RH, does anyone know if any of those will work for RH20? Thanks!
I truly do try to investigate on my own before posting on here.I have bulleted lists with multiple indentions. This is how one section looks:How do I put space betwen each line that isn't as big as doing Shift/Enter?Thanks so much for everyone's patience with me as I learn this new version of RoboHelp.
My organization (part of provincial government) uses Team Foundation Server 2015 to track version control. With RoboHelp 2017 and earlier, I used the Microsoft Team Foundation Server MSSCCI Provider to connect to TFS.Am I missing the secret handshake that will allow me to connect to TFS in RoboHelp 2019 or is that functionality simply not available?
I tried upgrading a project in Robohelp 2020 from version 10 - and there are many (likely over a hundred) links throughout the project in the TOC/Index and other pages that point to some places with a bookmark within a single topic, rather than an individual topic. Every single one of these links are broken when I do the upgrade. Are there options I should select that may make the upgrade work better? I simply don't have the time to attempt to wade back through a project to fix all broken links...
As I'm entering a new project, I realize I don't know what kind of font I'm using. I go to the default.css and see that the font assigned is None. What is the default font and do I need to change it? Is the workflow to enter all topics, then go to the defaut.css and assign it to all topics, or should I set up the CSS before I begin entering topics? Thank you.
While adding and deleting and moving items from a TOC in RoboHelp 2020, I selected a topic for deleting, and it surprisingly deleted the entire TOC. There was probably a slight lag in my cursor. I tried Edit > Undo to bring it back, but had no luck. Then I did a search to see if there might have been a previous version of the TOC that was saved somewhere, and there wasn't. Is there a proper way to restore a TOC in a case like this? (It's happened a few times today so now I'm doing auto backups of my RoboHelp project every hour LOL)
I'm new to the community. My version is 2019.0.11. I'm trying to create mobile output from a WebHelp project (viewed by users on desktops/laptops) that I haven't touched in years. My employer wants to make this Help project viewable for IOS, Android, tablets, etc. I was under the impression I could choose "Mobile App" as an Output option, but it doesn't appear in the list. The closest thing to what I need appears to be HTML5. Am I missing something? What would be my best route to quickly generate output from this existing Help project that will work nicely on mobile devices? Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
