I have a Responsive HTML 5 project that RH won't open. When I click the project on the Project Starter page, I get a message in the lower-left corner that says, "Opening Project Microservices Help.xpj..." I also get a blue circle that spins while RH tries to open the project. I'm using Windows 10. I've waited for about 30 minutes several times and I never get an error message. I just keep seeing the blue spinning circle. Have others had this problem? I'd appreciate any help I can
Hi guys, So I'm working on an older project that was initially created in 2016 somewhere, I believe. Through the years this project was upgraded and chopped and changed and pushed through so many versions that it's a bit of a headache to work on, but I have to do what I have to do. So one of the issues I have with this project, currently upgraded to the latest RH2019 version, and on the new layout, is that RH would place random <span> tags in places in the HTML code. I believe this is due to changes between then and now, in how the software handles and generates code from the text side, as it's not an issue on newer projects I'm working on. Anyway, those random tags often create extra spaces between words, icons and other elements on the page. In the earlier versions of RH (I checked and see it's still on RH2017) there was an option to see spaces and paragraph markers (formatting marks). Paragraphs (line breaks) are indicated by the pilcrow
I am generating JavaHelp 2.0 compressed with source files. After generating, I view the .hs and everything is fine and TOC appears as it should. When I provide all the files to the software developer and the JavaHelp is inserted into our application, the help file launches and the default page (Welcome) appears but the TOC does not appear. We have been using the same process for many years; the only thing that's changed is I had been using RH 9.0 which I had to delete due to company security concerns and I had to purchase RoboHelp Classic 2019. Please help.
Hello all,I'm looking for a way to integrate RoboHelp topic within the current page of the user. Or even better, to split help per component of the page and load it when the user click a `?` button of the component.I'm using Angular but getting some info for any SPA would be great. Thank you.
Has anyone been able to get Robohelp 2019 (Version 14.0.12) to work with Sharepoint? My IT guy and I have spent two head-banging hours using the following instructions - https://helpx.adobe.com/robohelp/using/sharepoint.html - to no avail. When we get to the part about downloading a project from Sharepoint, all that is downloaded is a .rh folder that contains a single .json file despite the in-application message that displays in RH: Project downloaded successfully.I am working locally in RH (Win 10, 64 bit) and I access my client's secured Sharepoint site using corporate supplied credentials. I am not on VPN to access Sharepoint. I have read through previous posts on this and tried to put it all together, but the last round of posts are from 2018 and a much older version of RH 2019, so I am at a loss to determine what is relevant and what is not. Any and all advice is sincerely appreciated. Regards, TVB
I have been having a problem with snippet (.hts) files being included in the generated Webhelp folder. The snippet files are not needed in the generated output and I can delete them manually and the help displays correctly. But I can't figure out how to stop them from generating in the first place. At one point they appeared as baggage files. I delete the baggage files and duplicated the snippets with a different name. But they keep appearing in the generated output folder. It doesn't happen with all the snippets in my project; only a couple of them. Probably the last two I created. Any ideas on how to stop this from happening?
Problem Description: When I link FM Book to RH 2019 and map FM styles to RH default styles, nothing happens. Am using the following versions of RH and FM: RH: 2019.0.12 and 15.0.5.838 Steps to Reproduce:1. Link FM book to RH 2019 Project2. Select topics for pagination (example: title0 and title1)3. In Paragraphs, map FM tags with RH default CSS (example: title0 with Heading1, title1 with Heading2)4. Click Save Settings5. Create/Update Topics.Actual Result: The mapping does not happen. Also, when I revisit the link settings, all my changes are gone.Expected Result:1. RH should create HTML topics based on pagination2. RH should map the FM styles to the new RH styles. Request help as there are many FM books and I cannot change every heading levels to h1, h2 etc so that it appears in the mini-toc. Thanks,Sharada
Hi, I am using RoboHelp 2019 and have recently started collaborating with my collegues on the project through Sharepoint. When I opened the project after it synched everything, I doubled clicked a certain page, and where the images were supposed to be, is just the word "Picture" followed by a series of numbers. Though I could still adjust the sizes etc., the image itself would not show up. The other strange thing is, if I open a different page in the same project, the images show up correctly.I am wondering if I have made a simple mistake, or if something has gone wrong when it was synchronizing the project files. The images seem to be coming through fine for my collegues when they open the same page of the project. If anyone has any input it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
RoboHelp 2019 - New UI I have a character style applied to a word that just makes the word italic. When I select the same word and choose to apply a different style (bold), the word becomes bold but still retains the italic. Shouldn't the italic be removed, since the new style does not specify italic? Note: I also selected the word and chose the "none" style in an attempt to reset both styles, but "none" was not effective. ("none" does work if I didn't attempt to reapply two different styles)
I'm using RoboHelp 2019 and need help inserting breadcrumbs in my topic. Basically, is there a way to insert the breadcrumbs above the topic title? I tried to put them inside the <Head> tags and also above those tags, but the topic title disappears then. In the 2019 classic version, I put the breadcrumbs above the <h1>, but I don't have the <h1> anymore, so I'm lost. Thank you!Cindy

Is there a recommended way of embedding online help information generated with RoboHelp in a Java desktop application? I have tried OHJ (Oracle help v12.2.1.0.0) with limited success but the lack of documentation prevents me from overcoming difficulties with the OHJ interface, in particular the inability to have any control over docking navigator and topic panes and sizing of panes being the main obstacles.
This is RH 2019.12, new UI. Like everyone else, I can't get the Properties>General tab's "Restart/Continue Numbering At" element to reliably appear. So at this point, I'd rather just manually insert the HTML and specify the number to continue with, in the code. That, I can reliably - and intuitively - do. So, what's the HTML code to "continue numbering" for a numbered list in a topic? This was so much easier in RH 2017. Would love to see Adobe address the issue in RH 2019/2020.
RoboHelp 2019 Refer to attached: The Note (blue) in this list is numbered. How do I get rid of the number? The "Note" style has been applied. The "Note" style is not numbered, but when applied, retains the numbering from the list. Refer to attached HTML
RoboHelp 2019 New UI I created a topic that contains a procedure with steps. The first three steps are snippets (since they are shared between procedures), where the <ol> item for each snippet is defned for the associated number 1-3. The remaining steps are plain topic content, starting with <ol> = 4. The preview and HTML5 output show the steps correctly, starting with step numbered 1 and the remaining steps numbered correctly as 2-9.When I generate the output to PDF, all the steps appear correctly (1-9)When I generate the output to MS Word, all the steps appear as "1." I need to generate MS Word because I need to tell the page breaks NOT to break at each Heading 1.
Hi, Everyone. Is there a way to give the end user navigation controls when they're viewing my RH handbook in full-screen mode? Similarly, even when the TOC is displayed, I'd like to place navigation buttons for "Next Page" and "Previous Page" somewhere handy. Thank you!
Hi, Everyone. Are there navigation controls we can offer the end user when they're reading in full-screen mode? Similarly, I'd like to place some navigation buttons into my output for "Next page" and "Previous page," even with the TOC displayed. Do they exist? Thank you!
Hi, Everyone. I'm confused about adding a new page to a book in TOC editing view (or Contents view). When I click the "new page" button, the new page dialog opens (see screenshot, below). But the only options are to use an existing project file, a file from my computer ("Local file"), a webpage, or an email. Is there no way to just create a brand new page -- I mean, without utilizing some existing file? Thank you!
Hi, Everyone. I'm working in RH 2019 (new UI). Can you think of a way to require each end user to choose a Dynamic Content Filter when they first open my RH handbook? Some way to create a "gate," right when the handbook is opened, requiring the user to choose "Contractor" vs. "Employee" (see screenshot) before they can access the handbook's content? Thank you, appreciate hearing any ideas you might have.
RoboHelp 2019 New UI I have set up topic links to folders in my project TOC and when output to ResponsiveHTML5, the links work fine. But, when I produce a CHM of the same TOC, two of the folders are unresponsive and do not show the topic. All of the linked topics just consist of a single JPG. I don't see any difference in the topics such that only 2 would not display (see image).
In RoboHelp 2019 version I'm trying to create a TOC book that is linked to a topic such that when I click on the book, the page that it is linked to appears on the right. In the new 2019 version, I don't see the 'Link to topic' check box. When I right-click the book and select Link File, I get an Application Error pop-up. See images attached.
RoboHelp 2019 I brought a PDF in as a linked file and TOC'd it as a file. In the ResponsiveHTML5 output, the PDF opens in a browser as expected and find the search term, but the term does not appear highlighted. I have tried this is Chrome and IE. I have also checked that highlighting is selected as a property in the Word doc when saving as PDF.How do I get the search terms to appear highlighted in the results when searched in RoboHelp?
After searching a word in the seach bar, no search results appeared for the particular word. The problem is that, no result window/sidebar is closed only by clicking the TOCHow will i rectify it?

So i thaught we should try 2019 to see if we just had a to old version of robohelp but now when i try to generate a printed documentation it says error failed to generare printed documentation but I cant see what the problem is. Do you have any solution? I need to know that it will work before we buy the product.ThanksAnna
