RoboHelp

Please the Bullets style has changed and doesn't show properly and I tried to edit the style but cannot revert it to the default. It's in the Disc > ul.Disc style. Can you let me know how can I import the default style or the default sepcs to set? 

I have a parent project that consists entirely of placeholders to child projects. The parent project has no content. When I generate the responsive HTML with Indigo I noticed that when you perform a search and select a file from the search results, the file displays, but the breadcrumbs do not. Neither does the TOC expand to show where this file is in the TOC. I generated the output on a single project with content and with no toc placeholders to other projects, and the navigation worked correctly. I am on 2019.0.12, this is a new project, not an upgraded project.   

Hi all, I am trying to create an online help using RoboHelp Classic 2019, but my output needs to be WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) compliant at the AA level.  I saw that Azure Blue, Charcoal Grey and Ocean layouts are 508 compliant, but I need them to be WCAG compliant... So, I was wondering if there is anybody who has managed to have their Responsive HTML5 output (or at least WebHelp) WCAG compliant (AA level)? Would appreciate some tips on how to ensure that compliance. Thanks.

I am using RoboHelp 2019 and generating Responsive HTML5 output. My TOC consists of multiple folders with topics under each folder. When I generate the TOC, I see the folders, but when I expand one folder, the entire TOC tree disappears and I only see the folder/topics I have expanded.   Is is possible to keep the entire TOC tree when expanding a single folder?  (This is the case when generating a CHM.)

I have the Default pane set to "toc" and Show TOC set to "true", however when I generate and view the layout in a desktop screen, the TOC is not open by default, I have to first click on the TOC icon for it to open. I would like to have the TOC open by default when viewing the output.

How do you make sure you are creating a RoboHelp 2019 project in the Classic UI? After creating a project in the new UI, I want to create another project, but in the Classic UI.When I choose "New Project" I don't get an option.

I need to know what topics in a project link to a particular topic.In RH 2019 Classic (and previous versions) I could right click within the topic and select "Link View".That would open a pretty map showing all topic links to and from that topic.I can't find anything equivalent in the new UI. (A bare list would be sufficient.)Thanks.

I would like to add 2 .png files to a topic so that a user can save either or both images to their iPhone or iPad to use. Is it possible to add these files not as the image, but as a file attachment?I currently use RoboHelp2017, version 13.0.3.346.

Adobe tech support has not been able to point me to any documentation or tutorial that I'm not already familiar with.I'm willing to buy a book. Can we open the source of RH 2017 in RH 10? and vice versa?RH 10 gives multiscreen html5 output is that the same as responsive?

HiI did create a video using Captivate 2019, and the options are to insert the video as Video File, YouTube, Vimeo and Adobe Captivate Demo. In my case it is a Video File. By doing so the project size increases. I intend not to increase the project size and to store the videos in a location on a server and play it from there as we click the video file on the doc. Does RH2019 support the above functionality? If yes, may I know how can this be achieved?

When I insert the Field with the date "yyyy" format, it inserts in the HTML the following code:<?rh-variable_start name="date" format="yyyy" showcode="showcode" value="43956.371377" ?>. What value="43956.371377" means? Is it safe to delete it? What role it plays?

I renamed a repurposed RH Manual to the proper name by changing the xpj file name.  When I opened the project, all of my links were broken and when I try to repair the breaks, the project cannot see all the htm files in the folder.  I cannot even rebuild my TOC because it is not pointing to the folder where the htm folders reside now.  How can I fix this?

Does anyone know how to edit the spacing after the headings?

Hi everyone,Question for all you wise people:I have a FM2019 book with conditional text applied to some topics.The Frame book is linked to a RH Classic 2019 project.After importing the FM content into RH, the conditions are also imported with the topics.In RH I have created build expressions to exclude some content from the output.When I generate the output I get weird results:The topics appear in the TOC even though they should not.The topics are empty.Seems that RH is excluding the content from the build but not excluding the topics from the TOC. From the RH 2019 Classic user guide p283:Table of contents: A TOC book or page that is linked to an excluded topic doesn’t appear inthe Contents pane. What am I doing wrong?Thanks

While investigating how to embed videos in a completely GDPR-compliant way, I couldn't find a good way to set it up to open a resizeable window. It should open in a new browser window or tab but without the whole UI shebang - that's not possible with just adding target="_blank" to the <a href="...">. And the pop-up feature in RoboHelp doesn't create a resizeable video either. This is what we want to create: Just a placeholder (a classic <a> link based on text or on a thumbnail image) in a topic (not the RoboHelp standard video embedding or a <video> tag); the link would contain the video ID on YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com).From that link, the video player should pop up in a predefined size which must be easily resizeable. That's mandatory for our kind of videos:  users need to adapt the video's content to their needs depending on how large their display is and how small the details in the videos are (like text in a software screencast). Can somone tell me what are the common gotchas which might lead to the style font vanishing in building a CHM help file? Specifically, my google font is replaced with Times New Roman. The font is on the build PC; I thought that was all that was needed for CHM builds. As it happens, the fonts are in the project anyway, because I have been doing some research into moving to a more modern output format. That looks like it's coming to nothing, for reasons outside of my control. One way or another I'd have thought Robohelp has what it needs to package the font properly. This has worked before but doesn't now and I can't see why.  

For the time being, I'll assume that everything I'm unhappy with is my fault :-} but when I start from a FrameMaker book and generate Responsive HTML5 there are quite a few things that have me raising my eyebrows in surprise. Can someone recommend an online walkthrough/tutorial/introduction?

Hi all,I have a problem with the substring search in the HTML5 output. I am using RH2019.0.12 new UI, but the problem also occured with update 11. The search settings for my output are as follows:Use topic description = trueEnable auto complete = trueAuto correct search query = falseShow definitions from glossary = trueEnable substring search = trueAdd special characters for search = falseGenerate XML sitemap = false In my output, I have several topics containing the word "Primäreinzelkosten". If I search for "primär", I only get results containing exactly the word "primär", but not the "primäreinzelkosten". If I search for "primä", I get no results at all. If I search for "prim", I get all topics containing "primär", "primäreinzelkosten" and "primrose" or whatever. So the substring search seems to have a problem with the "ä". The substring search works as expected for example when searching for topics containing the word "Kostenblock". They are found whether I search for "koste",
