Hi all,I have been trying to figure out which of my topics are not in my map. Is there any way to do this? I could not find a report that does the trick. Thanks and regardsKarin
Hello while testing, I came along something strange.Could find just made products in 'my document'.My document is mapped to my d:users/me/documents/ (space reason of course) for several years alreadywhenever I create a new project in RH, RH stores it in c:users/me/documentsof course when looking for the freshly created project, you click on the 'my document' quick acces icon, and cannot find it.How to change in RH the My document path? No other application uses C: for my document stored data....I would prefer to not change this path manually at every project creation best regardsOlivier
HiI am using Robohelp 2019.0.12 Is there a way of adding new Statuses to topics. We have 'Draft', 'In review' etc. but I would like to add my bespoke statuses. Is this possible? ThanksMichelle
Unlike RH2019 Classic, when I import my word document into RH2019 New UI, the internal hyperlinks (those linking or referencing other chapters within the doucment) do not work. When I click on them using the control key, it opens a duplicate window in Internet Explorer. But it does not go to the hyperlink location. External hyperlinks work just fine. All the hyperlinks work just fine in RH2019 Classic when importing the same document. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated to get these internal hyperlinks to work non-Classic RH2019. Thank you, Ken
Hello, where can I change the title of the chm file (the main project of a merged chm project)? I've read the posts for the old versions. Would think it is by creating a window settings. Inserting a space in de name is immediately replaced by an underscore. So the real title is not there. Anyhow I change another bit there (left out glossary) and save it.then I go the the output presets and edit microsoft html. Under Layout I indicate default window ('settings' would be nice to add there, it is confusing) and choose the just create window (setting). compile. Nothing changes. I've also tried to edit the *.win file with an editor (caption tag). To no avail...best regards Olivier
Hello everyone, I have an internal request. I work with Robohelp 2017 (and 2019 in one month). I'm looking to find out if it is possible to communicate with the search engine of a Webhelp output from a software we devellop. For example: the user works with our software, he can search in it (with a tool we will develop). The charachtere string is sent to the search engine of the online help located in our servers. The web browser opens, the search has been performed in the online help and the answers are displayed in the usual place. Is that possible to do that ? Is there a file in which can we could send the "string" ? whfdhtml.htm ? Thank you !
Hi Team,Cant able to import the Word file. Getting the Document Read Error "Cannot read filename.docx Make Sure that the document is closed". Even though i have closed all the .docx files.
When compiling in RoboHelp, the file fails constantly about 3/4 of the way through. compiling a 2017 Robohelp file in the 2019 version of Robohelp.
Does RH 2019 new UI support image hotspot feature?
Environment:Win10RoboHelp 2019.11 NewFramelessOrange (modified) Create this in RoboHelp: How it appears in the output: Problem:The build/compile process is inserting a backslash immediately prior to each double-quote. Workaround:Use a single-quote character instead of the double-quote character; those publish correctly. This is a bug, right?
I have a merged RH2019 project, with the merged project comprised of 20 individual projects. All the individual projects are at the same directory level. In 11 of these projects, I have a common topic that details a particular dialog box and all the options on all the tabs on the dialog box.I created the necessary topics (5 in total that addressed this dialog box - one for each tab on the dialog box) in the default merge project for my merged help, and then I attempted the following in one of the projects that also required this topic:1.) In my TOC, created a new page entry.2.) In the Properties for this new page entry, for the Source, clicked on the Update Link URL icon and on the Update Page dialog box that opens, I select Local Files.3.) I then click the Browse icon next to the File Path field, and I browse to and select the local topic file.4.) I click Done and then Apply. And zip, zilch, nada . . the topic page remains even if I close and re-open it. If I copy these common fi

If I create a popup that contains only a graphic (RH 2019, Version 11), in the Preview mode of RH, the link works as expected and the popup shows the graphic. In the actual output opened in a browser, the link is dead. . .I have attached a graphic showing this difference - the graphic on the left is in Preview mode and the graphic on the right is the same link when opened in a browser. Why would a graphic only popup cause such problems?
Another basic question!I have a topic containing a few paragraphs of text. A way down the page, I want an image on the left, with some relevant text on the right... then more paragraphs beyond that.Sometimes the text to the right of the image will be deeper than the image itself, but I don't want the text to wrap back under the image, so the only way I can see of doing this in the UI is inserting a table. I'm still getting into the basics of figuring out how to apply styles for all the various elements in play; the table, rows, columns, the style applied to the image itself, and the text to the right. Selecting those elements and adjusting them in the UI is fiddly.I could get into the source and am comfortable with the code and with CSS, but I'd really like to do this in the UI.How do experienced users approach something so simple? Thanks 🙂 EDIT: This is in RH 2019.0.11
I've created a merged project by linking FrameMaker documents in RH. When I generate the Multiscreen HTML5 output, the TOC displays all the topics and the context-senstive help also works. However, when I open the CSH test in the toolbox to test if my MapIDs actually work, the TOC is not displayed at all. I have to give the files to the developer but before I do so, I have to make sure the MapIDs work. I'm using TCS 2017. Can I get some help on this, please? Our developers will access the online help using a URL.
Dear All,I have 1 registered domain in which I need to build 4 projects.Let's call them A, B, C and D.The users accessing the website, will be subcribed to one or more projects.I want to structure the individual projects in such a way, that when a subscribed user executes a search in Project B, the search will be limited strictly to the contents of Project B; in other words, no content of Projects A, C and D should be retrieved.I don't know how to do that and I also don't know whether it requires to use 4 separate projects or that it can also be done in a different way.Ideally, I would like to use one landing page, from where the subscribed user can jump to the project they're entitled to use. I know there's a lot of brainpower & experience in this forum, so my question to you is:please enlighten me. My workflow will be: FrameMaker 2019 > RH2019 (frameless HTML5) > website on the Internet. I don't have existing content, so nothing needs to be converted.I j

Hello Adobe Support Community,Using RoboHelp 2017, I have topics which contain a question or question(s) for users to answer Yes or No to. Each answer is programed with drop-down text to provide the user with the appropriate steps to take. Everything looks great when a topic is opened through the TOC; however, when a user searchers for the topic, the drop-down text is swapped when viewing the topic within the "Search" tab. When Yes is selected, the drop-down answer for No is displayed and visversa. Is anyone else experiencing this issue or knows of a fix?
Hi everyone... My organization is running RH 2017 right now. I know we can export our RH files as a .pdf through RH itself, but is there a way for a user to export the RH files from the application that are being used in from the UI? If you try and do that now through, say, IE or Chrome, it will only create a .pdf for the page the user happens to be looking at in the UI. Thanks in advance.
Such a beginner question!I created a new Topic just as an experiment, named changelist. My intention is to use this internally only for my own reference, so I do not want it included in my output.Output is Microsoft HTML Help (CHM) and there are no Condition Expression's configured. My new Topic is NOT present in the output, which is what I want - but I don't know why not! It has Status 'Draft' so that could be why, but I can't find any information on what Status are included in the Outputs and which are not.Can anyone help please?!Thanks
Good afternoon, For RH2017, is there a way to have the search feature to only look for search words within topic titles and not within the body of the topic? OR to be able to keep the dropdown text from auto collapsing when a word is found from the search results?
Hi, is it possible to integrate Robohelp 11 with Azure DevOps server for version control? Thanks, Anne
OK,So, working on a merged help project in RH2019. As we all know, there's very little that you can do in RH2019 at the parent project level for propagating files down through the projects - I set up variables in one of my merged projects and add or edit variables, I have to copy the updated variables folder over to all the other projects With 20 merged projects, this is tedious and mind-numbing and prone to errors. Rick Quatro, who is a script developer extraordinaire (some of you might know him through Framemaker) has developed a script that lets me automate such a process and it has saved my time and sanity. You can copy files/folders w/ this script, rename files, replace files . . . It has allowed me to keep all my projects in sync w/ minimal overhead. I have included a screen capture of the very easy and intuitive UI for the script. If you're interested in this script, you can contact him at https://www.frameexpert.com/. And if I have broken any rules on this forum
I upgraded from 2019.0.9 to 2019.0.11 last night fix an issue. After the upgrade, my 1540px x 1004px image (a png from a Visio diagram) is shrinking to fit my page width in the editor. It previously did not shrink to fit. The existing image map hot spots remain where they are, so don't align in the image map editor. However, in HTML5 output, they align correctly. They also look correct comparing coordinates with the coordinates of the zones in the image. When I've published, the links are correct. If I create a new page with the same image and add an image map, when I publish, the link is in the wrong place (because I drew it on the shrunken image). This is a problem because if I want to add a new hotspot to my image map, I can't. Well, I can, by hand-coding it in HTML. a) is this a known bug on track to be fixed?b) is there a way to set/override the page size in the editor so that it's large enough for the image not to shrink to fi
I need to add a link to a specific heading in a topic. What I know is that Bookmarks should do that, but when I bookmark a text and try to insert a bookmark in another topic, I don't have the option to choose from the bookmarks I've added. Any advice?
