Hi All,I have an idea and wondering if I can develop it in Robohelp. My goal is to build an html page in robohelp that only have search bar and text box in it and upload it on our company website. I'm gonna put some common questions and answers in the text box and whenever customers can not find the answers in this page they type in the search bar and it fetches the information from my major Robohelp project (which is our company help file) or basically redirect to the help file. I know that if I generate a layout like responsive HTML or .... I will have search bar but I need to have it in a single page. Now is there any way that I can create single html page in robohelp which only have search bar and text box in it?Thanks,Parya
Hi,I have generated the WebHelp and AdobeAir outputs using RoboHelp 10. Also, integrated the output in the application. Now, while opening the help page, i am getting the error in the browser console. The whproj.bcfg file does not exist anywhere in the output. Files with .HTM, .XML and .JS extensions are available though.Kindly help in resolving this error.Regards
RoboHelp HTML11Windows 10Recently, the point spacing between paragraphs in my RoboHelp project has changed. I'm sure it's something I did, but after days of trying to figure this out, I need help.In the picture below, I have paragraph spacing set at 0pt Before and 0pt After, with Line spacing at Single. As you can see, the paragraph spacing looks much further apart than what I would expect for 0pt. (The last line of X's is how it looks after a soft return.) The only thing I can do to get the paragraphs closer together is use minus point numbers, and that seems inappropriate.I did notice something different in the HTML: there are a number of places where there is text in green that seems to be repeated over and over:<!--[if gte mso 9]><xml><mso:CustomDocumentProperties><mso:_dlc_DocId msdt:dt="string">5E3YEXWMZK7C-131-14408</mso:_dlc_DocId><mso:_dlc_DocIdItemGuid msdt:dt="string">0290b6de-b450-483c-bf63-fe1f3c0a5350</mso:_dlc_DocIdItemGuid><m
Has anyone encountered a situation where the same topic generates and displays correctly in one webhelp output but does not generate and display correctly in another webhelp output?I have a webhelp topic that includes two images and uses embedded DHTML drop-down hotspots (an embedded DHTML drop-down hotspot is a DHTML drop-down hotspot within another DHTML drop-down hotspot). The topic in question does not include any conditional build tags (no topic-level tags are applied to the topic in the project folder or the TOC; the html code view contains no "condition" text, verifying there are no build tags in the topic on any part of the topic's content). From within RH, the topic displays correctly when using the CTRL+W preview. From the same RH 2015 project, I generate different outputs for different software releases. I have two single-source layouts that are virtually identical; they have different names and conditional build tag expressions related to release numbers, b

I have linked a great number of Word documents to Robohelp 11 HTML, all of which are formatted with headings and standard and other styles. Now I discovered that if there is a number at the end of a heading e.g. "2.2 Example 1", this number is truncated in the TOC of the output. It is just not visible. Is there any way to influence this behaviour? I already looked at the project settings and the conversion settings for Word documents but there are only options to drop the numbering of the headings (at the beginning of a heading), which does not meet my needs.Funnily there is a kind of workaround if a dot is added at the end of the number but this is a bit of a "dirty" solution and looks as if the number displayed was incomplete. I hope there is a better i.e. more professional solution! Any feedback, advice and ideas are welcome!
Greetings RoboHelp and HTML experts!Does anyone have a good way to add line numbers to code examples in RoboHelp output? Outside RoboHelp, I've used CSS styles (<pre> and <code>), but you have to apply the <code> tags to every line -- a pain, especially when you have to update code samples -- and I haven't gotten it to work in RoboHelp. When I attempted to add the tags to topics in the HTML view, RoboHelp added dozens and dozens of extra <code> and </code> tags when I switched back to Design view. It made a real mess. Anyone know why?I'm also looking for a way to highlight syntax in code samples. Any suggestions? My current configuration:Windows 7, TechComm Suite 2015 FrameMaker source, RoboHelp project for Multiscreen HTML5 generationHere's the CSS I tried (worked outside of Robohelp): pre { counter-reset: line; display: block; white-space: pre; margin: 1em 0; font-family: "Courier New"; font-size
Hi,Around last week all the systems in my company have got formatted, and I had to re-install the Adobe Tech Comm Suite 2015. But, the company has now decided to go ahead with Open Office and not MS-Office. The issue now is that I am unable to produce a doc or pdf output from Robohelp . Does Robohelp 2015 support Open Office? Or should I request for a MS-Office license? Is there any work around? Please suggest. Thanks,Lovina Saldanha
Hello,I have the help created and it has been inserted in the software. The help icons, when clicked, display the correct topics (Yay!). However, the help does not display in the Orb skin that I provided. There is a hyperlinked word "Show" in the upper left corner of the screen which if you click it does display the help formatted in the skin correctly. What can I do to get the help to display in the skin, without the user needing to click the Show hyperlink? Thanks,MDawn
I'm having a problem with RH (9) recognizing a page which I added to the project, but it seems that I did not "import" it the right way.Situation: I had a piece of code in a page like this: <a href="javascript:BSSCPopup('/Bearbeiten/FieldAttributes.htm');" id="a1">Feldeigenschaften</a>Before the path to the .htm was pointing into the file system outside the projects' directory and the folder "Bearbeiten" was somthing different. Anyway, what I did, was to create a folder in the filesystem within the projects' directory, named "Bearbeiten" and put that file "Fieldattributes.htm" into it.Somehow it looked like the link is still broken, that is, the file does not appear in the "Topic List"-pod.Then I added a new folder in the project tree, n
Hi I am using RH 11 and I am trying to generate a help system from an already existing Word documents by linking them.I don’t know how making a TOC from the documents. I get all the topics and subtopics on level 1, without grouping them into books. Is there a way to make RH generate the multi-level TOC from the linked document? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
I'm using the Azure Blue screen layout, and providing settings text for the Title Bar (e.g., Online Help). When I generate the output, the Title Bar text is displayed on both the browser tab and as the project title. How can I get different text for each one, such as <Product Name> on the browser tab and Online Help on the help project title bar?
Is there a way to compile Robohelp 2015 without a table of contents showing?thanx!Lon
I have a new RoboHelp 8 installation (8.0.0.203) and have tried to start a new project by importing Framemaker 12 (12.0.0.329) files (book or *.fm file), but the operation cannot be completed as RoboHelp doesn't recognize my installation of FM. The program versions are the current versions that are in use by a client I'm working with -- it is possible that I could make a case for different versions, if absolutely required. Are these two program versions compatible? If so, how do I go about correcting this problem?
I'm using RoboHelp 11.When I do File -> Close projectnothing happens. I can continue working with the project. When I exit RoboHelp completely, still nothing happens. This means I have to kill RoboHelp using the Task Manager. This may be relevant: In the project I have checked the 'Clear project cach (.cpd file) before opening any project'.When this is not checked, each time I open my project, RoboHelp says that the cpd file is corrupt and needs to be deleted.Perhaps these two symptoms have the same cause.. But what could be this cause? Thanks for any help.
Hi there,I am running RoboHelp 2015 (12.0.4.460) and Framemaker 2015 (13.0.5.547) on Windows 10.My output is WebHelp, so when I press F1 on a page in my product, I get a blank page. I decided to just try to regenerate my project, then place the help files in the product. When I click F1 again, I get a script error (whutils.js). When I click Yes or No to continue running script errors, the first page of my help appears (not the proper screen for the page on which I click F1). I have read some previous posts but some of those solutions have not helped. I did talk to Adobe support and they think it's a developer/code issue with the product. I'm puzzled because first a blank page would appear when I clicked F1, so when I regenerated the project, plunked the files in the product's Help folder, and clicked F1 again, I get script errors. So I'm not sure what I did wrong.Any guidance is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!Jackie
I had entered a ticket in the Adobe Tracker and I need to remove some details from the ticket since the ticket can be viewed by the public.

Hi All,I have a robohelp project which its output is responsive HTML5 and my robohelp version is 11.I am wondering if there is a way that I can upload my whole project with layout( header, navigation, etc) on the company's website? and if not with this layout, what are the suggestions? Thanks,Parya
Hi there, we recently started redesigning the online help of our product and started wondering, if there is any chance to print several topics of a webhelp at once? Like generating some kind of a PDF file of the desired topics. Like marking the topics you would like to print and then store them as a complete PDF file? I hope somebody can help me.Thank you in advance!Rebecca
Would a textbook for RoboHelp 2015 be close enough to use for the 2017 version? I don't see any textbooks for learning the program with the 2017 release as yet. I need to learn enough while using the trial version to convince my employer to invest in it. We're using RoboHelp 7 now.
Can I add a menu item here. I like to put a hyperlink to out Support Kbase?
We are trying to embed videos that are stored in our Viddler account into Help topics. The correct code, as directly copied from Viddler is:src=”//www.viddler…But, when you paste this code into RoboHelp (in HTML editor) , RoboHelp adds “file:”src=”file://www.viddler...Is there a way to prevent this? Also, and separately, RoboHelp is stripping special characters and replacing them in the URL string - for example, “&” is replaced with “&” . As a result, none of the embed links work. When pasted directly into a browser, these same links work fine.
When I had RoboHelp 2010, it was possible to create KB shortcuts that would take me to HTML view from Design view and back again at will by using the two shortcut keys. For the life of me I can't find the commands to view Design or HTML when in the Create KB shortcut dialog. (customize dialog.)Is it possible to create these shortcuts in RoboHelp 2015 Release?Thanks,- Carlos
Using RH11.4The project contains only one Topic folder (with no subfolders): [drive]\ECS Online Help\ECS Help\TopicsWhen I generate the project the SSL! folder for that help project contains duplicate folders: [drive]\ECS Online Help\ECS Help\!SSL!\WebHelp\Topics\Topics\topics.Explorer looks like this:Next folder level:Next folder level:Finally the topics:
