RoboHelp

We have never been able to publish using Robohelp. My process is to generate the files in RH, then I have to upload the files to SharePoint, and the index file has always worked, and opened the main page of the skin.  However, now when I upload the files and click on the link from the main page (that always worked before) I get an error.  Then, I try to click on the index.aspx file and it downloads the file and asks me to open the file. When I click on the 'open file' link I get a pop-up asking me to choose the app to open the file.  I'm on version 2022.4.179.  Early on when Adobe was trying to help us publish, we hit this situation and I was told that there is an open issue with Microsoft and Adobe, and that I would need to upload files as a workaround. But now the uploading of files doesn't work either. Anyone know if this is an issue with Microsoft and Adobe? And when it might get resolved. We need our Knowledge Base to work, and right now we

Is there a way to assign Microcontent to a button or a link?  I would like to add a button or a link or something somewhere on my home page and topic page that will open a FAQ page that was created by using the MicroContent feature in Robohelp.   I'm using Robohelp 2022 3.93.  I've tried to set a hyperlink to the FAQ mc but it doesn't work it brings up a page that says File not found.

Can anyone tell me how to deal with these log messages: *Skipped copying external file "K:/IS/Technical Writers/Robohelp 2022/Creating_Badges/Preparing_the_Excel_File.htm" *Favicon undefined is not an image Confusing in view of the fact that a) the "Creating Badges/Preparing..." topic does show up in the compiled project and, b) I'm not using a Favicon and I don't use a Favicon in any of my other projects, but don't get this message. 

Each month I generate Frameless release notes. The Topic page contains a mini toc on the right hand side; eg:  But since upgrading to 2022.4.179 the items in the toc look this this: I haven't made any changes to the template and can't find any way to put these back to the size they were.

The home page for one of our help files is displaying as pictured below after generating today. Essentially the topic page headers, navigation, etc. are displayed in addition to the home page buttons/content. No links are active, cursor does not change to hand icon when hovering over content. If I open any other topic page from the generated output, the page is displayed correctly, and all links work. It is only index.htm that seems to be impacted. I am using RH 2022.4.179, frameless output, filters for versions by audience. Since this was published with the last sprint release for this product (approximately 3 weeks ago) we made changes to remove a duplicate style sheet and remove an unused style sheet - applying that change to 100+ files, made some heading style changes on a few topics, deleted about 50 unusued graphic files, and made a few minor content changes. I have looked through source control log files and see no logged changes to any system or template files.&n

I upgraded from Rh9 to RH2019 and I am generating Microsoft HTML Help. With Rh2019 I can click on a small image and get a larger, different image to appear but this doesn't work in RH2022.  Any help anyone can give me will be much appreciated. RH 2022 3.93 - Oceanic Template (heavily modified)I'm trying to get a better understanding of how the 2nd homepage works. Would I be correct to say that in order to get a 2nd homepage of tiles, I would need to make sure that Drilldown TOC is toggled ON and Manage Tiles from TOC must be turned OFF?  I'd like to set completely different tile images on my 2nd homepage that are specific to what the tile represents. Is this possible and if it is, how?  Is there a way I can assign a specific image to a specific tile so that every tile on the 1st Homepage and every tile on the 2nd Homepage would have it's own image with no images repeating (3 tiles on 1st homepage (so 3 images) and up to 20 tiles on 2nd homepage depending on which of the 3 tiles was selected from the 1st homepage.  Lots of tiles and lots of images. I get a 2nd homepage of tiles for these settings: (Drilldown TOC = ON and Manage Tiles from TOC = OFF)I do not get a 2nd homepage if Drilldown TOC = O

Dear all,We are updating projects from the 2017 version of RoboHelp to the 2022 version using the "Upgrade RoboHelp Classic Project" option. In one project, the error "Upgrade project failed" appears and the process is interrupted. Although it indicates "View log", but the log is empty.Could you help me with this issue? I have RH 2022.4.179. When I try to build output (I've tried Frameless and Responsive) to an external SSD, I always get error "EISDIR: illegal operation on a directory, readlink," which is a nodejs error where it's trying to read a directory like it's a file.  I can create output on my "HD" (which is an SSD), and on an external disk-type HD - why not on external SSD's? The project is simple, basically just a test project with a few simple htmls. Does anyone know of any limitations? Hi All, I have a question regarding the Garbage and Corrupt texts are show in the CHM output of Chinese (simplified and traditional). I'm use RoboHelp 2020 (2.22) for buid the CHM and do to setting the Control Panel’s Region and Change the System local... to computer’s native language before the build. Then after finished and get the CHM output and it's look perfect once we open on the computer’s native language [Chinese (simplified and traditional) in this case]. We create old skool helpfiles in CHM format. Still working fine for our purpose but after a reinstall of robohelp (due to a new image) the search on keywords in the newly generated helpfile does not give any results anymore.  Same project just before the reinstall worked fine. See also the attachments.Any idea what is causing this?

I am using RoboHelp 2020 and I am generating ResponsiveHTML5. When I view the output, put a term in the Search bar, and click on a result, if the term is in the Topic Title, it reduces the font size of the heading that contains the term. Sometimes the entire heading, sometimes part of the heading. Try as I might, I can't figure out how (if it's at all possible) to create a Search box on topic pages -- we've decided to forgo having a Home page.Using Frameless Studio, BTW. thanks for any help,Lon

RH 2022Is there a way to make the search box open by default on the topic pages and not collapsed having to click the magnifying icon? Thanks! Lori

I have mini TOCs defined in the project topics(based on the H1, H2, etc. styles). I need to access them from external URLs, is it possible to do so?  Thank you for help 

Company is moving to ServiceNow, and I'm experimenting with publishing from RH to ServiceNow. I have set up a Developer Instance of ServiceNow to this end. Not starting very well .... ServiceNow Connection Failure - Could not connect to the site. Site is down or check your credentials. I have the correct URL to the developer instance.I'm signing in with an Admin Account on the instance and using the correct password. Has anyone managed this successfully and, if so, can you help me with this stumbling block out of the gate? Robohelp is latest version: 2022.4.179TIA Geo

If I accidentally set vertical aligment to let's say "centered" and then decide I don't want it centered, is there a way to turn it back to whatever it was?  I haven't been able to figure that out since I started using RH 6 months ago.  I have tried clicking on the center button to  select and then deselect, but it won't turn off.  I'm editing the Oceanic template and I'm editing the Breadcrumb section but this happens all the time in both the Style editor and the template editor.  I don't necessarily want to set it to left right or center, but if I am testing something or trying to figure something out and I set it to center and then decide that isn't what I wanted to do and I want to change it back to whatever it was set at, how do I do that?

Hello I recently updated to the latest version robohelp.  Any page that I edit when I output the paragraph breaks are not correct.  As you see below in robohelp I have spaces after each paragraph and in the output they do not.  Its happening once I make a change on a topic (Just readjusting the paragraph break on a page) causes the output to remove all paragraphs and breaks from the output.  Any advise would be greatly appreciated.   This was not an issue with previous version nothing has changed as well.   Robohelp showing correct paragraphs breaks   Output not showing the same
