Hi, I've read through the forums quite a bit and still cannot figure this out: How do I rename my project or file so that the new and correct name appears in my internet browser title? When I first began my project, I gave it a name for a small and specific topic. I then decided I was going to build around it and use it for my entire Help project. The old name remained. The instructions that I've found to rename the project pointed me to File > Project Settings > Project Title. I've done that, and the correct name is there, and the correct name also appears in my Primary Layout Properties window. Still, when I publish the project to the server and view it on the web, the old name appears in my browser title. That is not the name that our clients should be seeing! I've gotten the impression that I'm NOT supposed to manually change the file name in Windows...right? Thanks.

Has anyone been able to successfully run google analytics and tag manager in the frameless output to catch search terms and internal (not embedded) videos? I have been using the html5 output with no issues but trying to migrate to frameless is a bit frustrating.  I have the search terms defined correctly in the analytics setup (I can see them when i use my workaround aka refreshing).  For the video, I am using tag manager to run an html5 video listener for any page with a video, which then loads the video metrics to send back to analytics if it detects <video> tags (basically - hey, is there any video here?  Yes, okay, load the video capturing event in case they hit play.). The behavior I am viewing in debug mode is that clicking on a TOC item does not register a new page in the tag assistant - so it doesn't record anything interaction on the page.  When i execute a search and then click on a result, the page loads with the search term appe

Hello Im using Robohelp V 2022.3.93 with framless output.  The template Im using is the oceanic template.  Im trying to get the topic LEFT PANEL navigation bar to not automatically align to the top of the topic  when you press on a topic.  Is there a way to change the way the navigation bar behaves or is this by design?  I'd like it to be more static, almost similar to a MS HTML Help output file, that when I scroll down and expand a topic and click on it thats where the navigation bar should stay.  Thanks for your help.  

If I export a topic as a PDF (either by right-clicking on the topic and selecting "Save as PDF" or choosing the same in the File menu), is there a setting that will allow me to change the page size of the PDF? ' My audience and I are in the US, so my desired size is Letter (8.5" x 11"), but the output in this way is always A4.  I know I can create an output preset and do it that way, but being able to use the single-click method to preview my output would be so much more convenient.  I asked this question about three and a half years ago, but never got a solution. Hoping with the additional development that's happened since then, this may have changed.

We've run into a problem where an ad blocker on a user's machine blocked the cookies banner in our online help (Frameless, Studio), which resulted in the user being unable to see the Help at all, either from a direct URL link entered in their browser, or from launching the online help from our cloud application. If the user doesn't accept the cookies, or cannot see the banner at all, should we still show them something? Or have error-handling built in that notifies them that the page is being blocked by their ad-blocker settings? Or is there something I can do at my end to ensure that the banner is seen? Thanks,Mai-Ann

 I had to refresh a computer and install RoboHelp Classic 2019 but when it completed and I open the program the menu bar and items are so tiny and I tried adjusting the display resolution and spec and that did not help.  Is there is fix or what can I do?

Hello,Im unable to edit the last section in my TOC in the latest revision of Robohelp 2022.3.93.  As you see below my TOC does not show OKTA, however when I output, I see the section there.  I called tech support and they made me rebuild my whole entire TOC which took lots of time that did not fix it.  Not sure if engineering needs to get involved but this doesnt seem right.  I tried different screen resolutions, seems like an issue with the software.  Does any know of any work arounds to delete just this last section in my TOC or any fix?  I appreciate the help  

A problem I see from time to time is when I walk away from my machine for a while and leave the window open, when I come back RoboHelp is unresponsive. If I click Minimize and Maximize it is then OK.   Adobe could not replicate this but want to know if others are seeing it.   Please reply if you see this problem. ________________________________________________________ My site www.grainge.org includes many free Authoring and RoboHelp resources that may be of help.  

Hi there,  I keep running into the "ENOENT: no such file or directory, lstat 'C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Local\Temp\RHTMP\[folder name]\[doc name]' error when trying to generate a word output in RoboHelp 2022. The output preset is a duplicate of another working Word preset. They both use the same style guide, template, and output folder. I've tried selecting the TOC that's causing the error in the working output preset and I get the same error. I think the issue must be TOC/topic-related. I've tried deleting the topics individually to find the problem one, but I've had inconsistent results (sometimes it'll generate with a topic added and sometimes it won't). There are no other warnings/errors in the log file, except for the ENOENT after the "Converting mergedHTML.htm" step. Does anyone know how to identify the problem?

Hi All, I'm using RH 2022.1.188 version. I was wondering if there is a way to display only some topics in the web help online when condition tags and condition expressions are applied to my project.Example: ProjectName: myProjectInside my project there are two main topics: topic1 & topic2 I want that some users see only topic1 when in myProject and that other users see only topic2 in myProject. Also, there may be other users that see both topic1 & topic2.  Thanks

Anyone know how to modify the header displayed when a topic is accessed via a direct link, instead of the TOC or Index? None of the layout edit options I can see in the Layout Customization editor relate to this view. I just want to change the color of the background (shown below). I'm using RoboHelp 2019 (Classic), with the most recent update installed. Also, we are using the Indigo layout.By the way, the background color we configured to display in full view is orange but that color, for some reason, is not used in this view. Which makes no sense.

I need to decrease the font size in the header of Azure Blue, but I don't see the property.How can I change the font size?The other option would be to increase the height of the header, but I don't see that property either. Any suggestions would be appreciated.Thanks.

I am using RH 2022.2.22 (although I still don't get any response when I do About/check for updates). I am on Windows 11 installed on 4/4/2023. I am able to set up a publish profile and the window says I am logged in. I get a message in the lower right-hand corner but then I get an error in the middle of the screen. Then I go to create the output and I get the same conflicting error messages (see screenshot).In the lower right "User Validated" but then in the middle the error message. I am able to use all the information from the publish profile and log in manually, I have been made an administrator in our sandbox. This screenshot shows that I am successfully logged in.Any ideas on how I can get connected?Thanks,Mary Ann 

I'm upgrading help systems for two different product lines from RoboHelp 2019 to 2022. With one of them there were no problems - the structure and navigational elements look good. On the other the TOC tiles are missing and I haven't been able to figure out how to get them to display. The project TOC looks fine and all the structure is there, including all topic content. But the TOC tiles will not display. I'm using a frameless Oceanic template. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Hi,I'm a total beginner of RohoHelp. Rather than create a project, I want to try my hand at editing an existing chm or hlp file. I'm confused as my version of RohoHelp doesn't seem to open these files even though they are supported. Am I doing something wrong? The program just opens to a New/Open project window, and either option just opens a blank project.  I can't seem to find anything in the user guide. The source files also have .cnt and .gid versions (not sure what those are)

Hi,I'm running RH 2022.3.93.In my frameless output, I need the left panel to be more narrow. I have tried going to  the frameless theme> Topic Page > Left Panel > Container and adjusting the width there, but it has no effect.   What am I doing wrong? How do I make the panel more narrow? Thanks!  Lori

Hi,cc: @Peter Grainge We have been using the older version of Robohelp 2015, and now that we have tried using the trial version of Robohelp 2022, we are pursuing purchasing it.  Now, one of the resellers says they sell Robohelp Office and not Robohelp 2022. Does this mean Robohelp Office supports Microsoft-related software like Word, PPT, and Excel, apart from doing the same work that Robohelp 2022 does or something else?  Please let me know. Thanks,Anand

Using RH 2022 (2022.1.188) on a windows 10 pc. My tables are not formatted the same as in the HTML frameless generated. The borders are different, etc. Why??? And how do I fix this? I see no table styles defined in the PDF template settings. 

I'm working on Windows 10, 64-bit and RoboHelp 2022.3.93. For weeks now I've battled with the frameless Studio skin, thinking I have the problem fixed, and then it happens again. I have linked several images into the skin for buttons and backgrounds, and they show temporarily as I've set them (placement, size, position, etc.), and then at some point they revert back to an old image reference (such as "custom_button_place_holder.png", which doesn't exist in the skin) or other images that I've removed from the skin folder. I don't know how these images can be displayed when they are not in the skin folder, but they keep re-appearing, like a bad rash. I'm a little desperate as I'm supposed to be launching our online help for the first time tomorrow afternoon, and no matter how many times I start over again with a new Studio template, at some point the same thing happens as I'm customizing the skin for our needs. If any one can give me some idea of what I'm doing wrong,

I'm using RH 2020.8.34 Frameless output, and when I use Search, no results are displayed. It shows terms that match my search term, but when I hit Enter, nothing happens. Any ideas?TIA! 

Bonjour,Je suis passée de la version 2019 à la version 2022 de RoboHelp.Sur la nouvelle version, sur la restitution de la sortie Responsive HTML5, il me manque le bouton "Retour".Avec la version 2019 Avec la version 2022Je n'ai plus l'affichage du bouton "Retour". Les paramètres de 2022 sont pourtant correctsLes fichiers image (png) sont bien présents. Pour toutes les autres images je n'ai pas de problème. Si quelqu'un a une idée ?Merci  

See the attached "before-the-after" screenshot. After a couple of RH upgrades, now on RH 2020.8.34, the compiled help no longer transforms zero-width space characters as expected. The zero-width-space (ZWS) characters now appear as &NegativeMediumSpace in the output. The purpose of the ZWS is to break long URLs at more readable places when the user narrows the help viewer. This technique worked perfectly a couple of releases ago and I want it to work now as well.  I'm rather new to RH. What shall I do?
