I am migrating from X3 to the current version (2022).  One step in the process is to "upgrade" the X3 project to 2019 Classic, then on up to more recent releases.  One of the many projects I'm dealing with has an odd naming convention for the HHC and HHK files.  Via experimentation, I can see that the 2019 import/upgrade mechanism ignores those files and creates new (empty) ones, so I loose the quite extensive TOC and Index in the original project.  I have tried increasingly invasive renaming and in-file string substitution and whatnot but always run into problems; either the upgrade fails or the chm is produced but is corrupt and won't open or, of course, the TOC is simply absent.As such, since I still have the X3 IDE available, my thinking is that if I could change those file names "officially", ie via the X3 IDE, then perhaps the upgrade to 2019 would work.  Problem is, I don't know how to do that! 

Hello community,I am having problems with the keywords of my project.I generated a keyword using "ñ" to a specific topic. When compiling it and using the search engine by clicking on the magnifying glass to search for the HTML referenced in the keyword, the link gives an error and does not allow me to enter. The same happens when the keyword has an accent. When reviewing the URL, the "ñ" is appearing in it (or the accent) and I am sure that this is what causes the error.The problem is: how do I fix it? How do I change the URL to make it work?It is exclusive that the keyword includes the letter Ñ or words that contain accents. How is this problem fixed?I await comments and thank you very much, in advance, for your help!Mara

Initially, all types of styles are shown. It is now possible to select only the types that you wish to see. When another topic is opened, this selection is lost. All style types are shown again. The same happens when I selected 'style preview'.How can I fix the style type selection and appearance of the style list so it remains visible that way when I open another topic?

Good morning. I am trying to install the script for Google Tag Manager as per their instructions into the Master Page for my Robohelp Version 2020.8.34 project. As per attachment, I'm getting an "Invalid character =" error.  Would appreciate any assistance.

I have imported/upgraded an X3 (mpj) project into RH2019 Classic as a new XPJ project.  When the upgrade is done but before generating the output, eg a CHM, the original (X3) folder is copied/overwritten such that the pre-existing/original project files have the current date except for the 2 files mentioned in the subject line.I am trying to clean up the project and figure out what files need to be tracked in an EXTERNAL source control system.  I am guessing that those 2 files, since they show the original/old date, are not imported/upgraded and therefore of no use to the new XPJ project. Is this a safe assumption?

Where can I find a download of that version?Further, is there a separate installation for 2019 Classic vs Reimagined?

I'm on a trial version of RH2022 and I've deleted and added new TOCs a couple of times. Now it won't compile (Frameless or any output). The message indicates I need a 'valid TOC'. The new TOC looks ok, or the same setup as the earlier ones.  Am I only allowed a certain number of TOC attempts in a trial version?Thank you!JoAnn

When users use Search in my frameless help site, I want their seach to include the full text of the Word docs and PDFs I've uploaded to the assets/docs folder.  But it doesn't appear to be happening.  Help?I'm using RH 2022.0.346, and everything is working fine, mostly.  In my preset for Frameless, all the filetypes are unchecked under Search > Select file types to exclude from search.I've created a Word doc that includes the word "fecundity" in the text, and I've put that file in assets/docs.When I generate the site and then publish it, I search for the word "fecundity," but the Word doc doesn't show up in the search results.What am I doing wrong?

When I share a topic for review in RH2020, the review document it creates has no CSS formatting, and all the image links are broken.  Any ideas for resolving this?  I'm a noob here.

I'm having an issue where all my topics in my TOC become not alphabetized like they are in my "Contents" folder. When I select "Auto-Create TOC", all my topics that were alphabetized in the Contents folder become randomized in my Table of Contents tab. Thoughts on how to get my TOCs to remain alphabetized when I "Auto Create" the TOCs?

Good morning. Is it possible to move the Header links and buttons to the left, next to the logo, instead of aligning to the right of the screen? I have played with many of the settings but can't seem to get it right.?

Hi all,I am using RoboHelp Version 2020.8.34 and I use Responsive HTML format as output.My question is can we set the shortcut keys (number 1) to collapsed as default (number 2) ?  Current condition: when user open page shortcut keys automatically shows, and user has to click "hide" ( number 3) to collaps. Is there anyway I can do it the other way?

Hi all, I need your help on why is my font color always changing, especially for hyperlink.This happens everytime I open the project afer the last save.For hyperlink, I used below font color"  Wheh I reopen my last save project, it then changed into below color (number 1):  I have tried to re-apply the styles, the font color will go back to the right one, but then it happen again if I save and reopen my projects. There's also a case when the same style of hyperlink produces different colors (number 2) and number (3).NB: this color issue happens on author mode as well as the generated output. I also have tried to check the stylesheet, this won't fix. Thank you in advance.Have a nice day. 

Hi all! This issue for our document keeps growing. It seems that our TOC when you click through the topics some take you to the bottom or middle or random space with in the topic page. I am in the new 2022 Robohelp. I will say with each update the output become more riddle with these.  any thoughts ?

Hi!I need to have my Madcap Doc-to-help project (in NETHELP format) entirely functional in Robohelp, but I did not find a way to import the entirely project. I have more than 4000 pages, with hyperlinks, glossary terms and context ids.I can´t simply import the doc files, because I will loose all this resources. Anyone?

(RH2022)This is about PDF output. I have one project that shows the title 'Contents' on top of the TOC page and the title 'Index' on top of the index page. Other project do not show these titles. I have searched for the differences to find where these titles can be added, but I don't find the difference. Can anyone help me please?

Robohelp 2022.0.346 So, I'm using the frameless HTML skin, and I want to add a skin changer to let people use a light/dark skin, as an accessibility function (tbh, I'm suprised this isn't already a feature of the skin...). However, it seems impossible? It should simply be a case of setting some CSS variables then switching them using some basic JavaScript, however with RoboHelp it seems nothing is ever "simple". So far I've tried switching the default CSS file and dynamically adding/removing CSS elements, but neither work. The second method I've ALMOST got working, but because RoboHelp generates the LayoutDiff and userstyles CSS files dynamically - and the process is pretty much a black box - I can only ever get it to work on the main topic body container, and not the whole style. To elaborate: I have added a :root class to the layouts.css file which defines all the CSS variables, then when someone switches skin, I'm using the following JavaScript to dynamically swap the

We're using RoboHelp 2020.8.34, and we have thumbnails for several images. The thumbnails look and open correctly, but they won't close; clicking on the X does nothing. It happens when viewing the output locally and on the server and in Edge and Chrome. Anyone else having this issue? 

Hi,This is a really strange one... Currently, I am experiencing the inability to close a thumbnail image in my responsive output. I say strange, because previously this wasn't an issue.Effectively, I have generated the output, viewed the output in Chrome, clicked a thumbnail image to enlarge, clicked the close / exit icon on the full image, and now nothing happens (the full size image is frozen, whereas previously it would close).I am using RoboHelp 2020 (version 2020.8.34).Has anyone else had this issue?

Hi everyone,I'm working on 2022.0.346. I have a css file for my HTML output (file.css) which I am importing into my css for PDF output using @1552174 url("file.css"); Afterwards, I want to change some minor things. For example, in my file.css, Heading 2 is defined with a gray background and font-size 18. For my PDF output, I do not want a background color and a different size. So, after my import syntax, I set the background color to transparent and the size to 13:h2 { font-size: 13pt; background-color: transparent; }I thought CSS would use the last definition, ergo I expected size 13 and transparent background as this is set after the import syntax. However, my heading remained size 18 and still has a gray background. If I add "!important" to my attributes, e.g. background-color: transparent !important;it is working as intended. However, I don't want to add this to every single attribute in order to get it working, if I can avoid it. Am I making a mistake

@Amebr  - Thank you! Unfortunately, if I added the bookmark at the end of the heading and want my map ID assign to that bookmark, it doesn't work; it goes to that part of the mini TOC.
