Hi, Everyone. I'm in RH 2019 (new UI) trying to center the TOC tiles area on the home page of a frameless skin (Oceanic). Any help is much appreciated!
Hi, Could you guide us to an expert who could support us to customize Robohelp skins? Thank you.
Has anyone successfully used SharePoint to distribute your HTML5 output with others (outside your organization)? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Our files are saving to SharePoint, but attempting to open the index file downloads it rather than opening a browser to show the content output from Robohelp. The index file opens as expected from the "output" folder I have saved to our network drive. (My "local" folder and the content saved to SharePoint are both creating .aspx files, which I don't know what to do with as they won't open in a browser--except to show html gibberish).
Hi all!I am generating documentation in Responsive HTML5 and I want to exploit the multi-language functionality offered by RoboHelp. My original project is developed in Spanish and I see that I can generate a project with the English translations, but I could not find if in the final publication it is possible to offer both languages in the form of a selector. Something like this:This is my doubt, what is the correct procedure to publish a project in several languages? Is it possible to do it directly on RoboHelp? Thanks in advance.
Hi everyone,I am working on a project on Robohelp and I am experiencing some issues while creating the pdf file. I need to export my TOC as chapter list and I would like to see the PDF bookmarks reflect the TOC structer rather than the Heading in the topic files, but I am not able to do so. As reference here my settings for pdf generation:Here's my TOC:Here's the generated bookmarksHow can I generate the bookmark in the same is structured my TOC?Thanks,Alberto
I have three versions generated from a single project, Windows, Linux and Mac versions. When I generate the Windows version, I can see the default.css in the assets/css folder in output. For Linux and Mac however, the default.css does not appear there. As a result, my @11220649-face embedded font is not used, I get the default Times New Roman font being used. I searched in the community for answers and checked something Peter had referenced, checking the source of the output for something like this: <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="../assets/css/default_pg.css"/> and what I'm seeing in Linux and Mac versions is this: <link rel="StyleSheet" href="template/myproject_screen/layout.css" type="text/css"/>. In Windows, it is this: <link rel="StyleSheet" href="template/MyProject_screen/layout.css" type="text/css"/>. Why is my default.css disappearing when I generate?
Hi team,I just want to know if we can use the .md file in Robohelp? My team uses GitHub to publish the content work, so I just want to know if that's possible. If so, could someone help me out with this? Thanks,Avinash S
Bonjour,Je n'arrive pas à affecter l'habillage que j'ai créé à mon projet.Je ne comprend pas comment cela fonctionne.Merci par avance
Hi, Has anyone seen this issue? I was trying to apply an ol (ordered list) style and RoboHelp has put double numbers on it. Unfortunately it's done this for each topic in my help file.
After applying update 8 to RH2020, we are now seeing this error when attempting to push/pull to Bitbucket:----------git@bitbucket.[server hidden].com: Permission denied (publickey).fatal: Could not read from remote repository. Please make sure you have the correct access rights and the repository exists.---------We can still commit through the interface, but we have to push/pull using Git BASH or Git GUI outside of RH. Has anyone else seen this?
I finally was able to publish to SharePoint with the upgrade 5 to RoboHelp 2019. However, after moving the generated *.aspx files when I try to open the link to the index.aspx I get the 404 Not found error. Even if I click on the actual index.aspx file I get the Sorry something went wrong, file not found error. The online help does not include what new options should be set to publish to SharePoint. I just marked the "Generate SharePoint Output" option, gave a location to put the output and published the HTML5 Output. What do I need to do to get the index to work?
Hi, When I import a topic in my RH project I don't see the possibility to indicate that I don't want to import the snippets included in this topic or even the attached css. Is there a way like we add with RH 2019 to check the components that you want to import or not? Also, each time a new folder is created to save the imported css that I don't want. This results in an infinite tree of css : content > assets > css > assets > css.... Thank you very much

Is there a feature for generating a word count in the topic files? I thought the reports might contain that information; they don't. I've seen suggestions that one must output the entire project as a Word document. Is that it or has some feature been added in the later versions? Thanks!
Hi all,I'm having a persistent issue with RoboHelp 2020 crashing whenever I try to edit a skin. The last time I edited it was yesterday morning, and ever since then, as soon as I click Edit, I get an Application Error message.Restarting RoboHelp hasn't helped, nor has restarting my computer. Not sure if it matters, but all the documents were originally in RH 2017 and I upgraded them. I even tried deleting the upgraded files and upgrading them again. For some reason, I managed to edit the skin of one document once before I started getting an error message on all further attempts to edit the skin on the same document as well as on other documents.
We are using SharePoint to collaborate in RoboHelp. We have multiple authors in the same RH 2020 project. We would like to more quickly update our local projects from the SharePoint version so we can see each other's updates. We click on "Get Latest Version" and it takes up to 20 mins to update our local project. Is there anything that can shorten this process? Do either of these options do anything to help this:I saw another user was using WinMerge so I added this to my Preferences, but I don't really know if or how this would help. Thought I would give it a try.
Can RoboHelp display Sketchfab HTML code to show 3D renderings? I am using RoboHelp Version 2020.8.34.
Using RoboHelp 2020.8.34, I run into challenges with images when I try to compile chm (Microsoft HTML Help) output. The output looks as expected when I generate PDF, Frameless, HTML5, etc., but for chm output my project looks like: Remarks:chm files provided with software install on my computer displays as expected. The chm file I generate is located on my local drive, C:\, hence no network drive.Neither the folder path nor the image names contain special characters. The images are all currently located in the default folder .\contents\assets\images The challenge is easily reproducible by the following procedure.-----Reproduction Steps:Create a new projectOn the Output panel, add a new output preset for Microsoft HTML Help. Leave all settings default.Generate the newly added output preset. (File size 47 KB)Open the generated chm file. The file displays as expected, see Image1 below. In the Author panel, edit the topic First Topic and add an image. For this ex
The list of available output presets is also missing Responsive HTML5, and Mobile App. I did have a problem with the PDF output generation. Error message advised to install Java runtime, as it was missing. After Java installation, PDF generated. But its bookmarks did not work at all. (I think problem with “Heading 1” specification option in “Contents” section of setup process.) I have worked laboriously at learning how to use the RoboHelp; and also took several days to create my project. I desperately need to generate CHM output for a Windows program that I developed. I was devastated when I finally went to generate CHM output/Microsoft HTML Help, it was not on the list of presets. That said, I am at wits end, having searched for potential solutions. Can someone please suggest a solution?
HiHuge is very relative, but in this case, the scripts folder is 75% of the document's size. Any ideas on what I need to do to bring its size down? Many thanks in advance!
I updated RH 2020, trial version. I selected the Microsoft HTML Help preset, which I finally find due to someone named Peter. I configured the preset: I selected the TOC file. I specified the output folder, which is on a different drive than the project folder. (I knew that it could not be in the location whose parent folder was the project folder.) Then I clicked the command button to generate the CHM. The progress display continuously indicated the various task that were being performed during the generation process. Ultimately, I clicked the View Output button. The program displayed an error message indicating that the CHM filed could not be opened. I checked the output designation folder; and, the file existed. However, it was only 1 KB. I double-clicked the CHM file; but, the same error message appeared as when I attempted to open the file from within RoboHelp. As an aside, I tried he same process (i.e., MS HTML Help creation) with RoboHelp’s sample
Hi all,I have a dilemma regarding the way my WebHelp looks now as opposed to in the old version. This isn't a major issue, I just wanted to check that I'm not doing anything wrong. Here is what my WebHelp looked like when I generated it from RH 2017:I open the Welcome page in htm format, click Show, and then a new page opens with the TOC on the side. A similar thing happens in RH 2020 but the skin is a lot different, and it doesn't say Show anymore, but rather the title of the guide:So I open the Welcome page in htm format like before, click the title at the top, and then a new page opens with the TOC on the side. I just wanted to check if the previous look is no longer available or if I'm doing something wrong when setting up the Output options. Thanks in advance!
Hi,We have a table that overflows to multiple pages when we generate a printed documentation (Doc/PDF). The customer wants the table header to be repeated at the top, similar to the setting that we have in MS Word.Right now the header does not repeat. The workaround is to generate a doc output and then manually apply the repeat table header setting in MS word and then save it as a PDF.Is it possible to handle it in RH 2017?
In RH 2020, how do you add expanding text to a variable and then make the expanding text a link?
