I ran into a problem where some bulleted lists become numbered lists automatically when I generate the Printed Output from the Printed SSL. It's a strange problem because some lists with identical HTML codes later in the output are fine. Hey,we currently face the following problem. We want to serve our documentation (frameless or HTML5 export of Robohelp 2020.8) as a web page next to our application. However, browsers do display the content but do NOT display the menu part (left hand side) or upper part of the documentation. The browser (e.g. Edge) complains about inline scripts in the export HTM-files. Is there ANY way to generate security-compliant HTM files NOT containing any inline script? Example of the index.html: the following part seems not to be accepted by the browser:<script type="text/javascript">//<![CDATA[gRootRelPath = ".";gCommonRootRelPath = ".";//]]></script> Cheers Volker

Hi,I've an issue with the header (h1, h2....) numbering in the pdf output.In particular the number is not aligned with text, the example in figure: How can i resolve this? I've try to put the position value in the CSS "relative" both numbering and text, but the distance is too far for how I want it.Thanks. Giovanni 

We face issue in getting responsive frameless output for Robohelp 2020. Earlier we used Robohelp 2019, it was working fine with responsive output. But we are unable to view responsive layout in Robohelp 2020.Please provide us some suggestions for this issue.  

I have a RoboHelp project that contains approximately 450 topics and 770 images, which I created about 11 years ago and has been working fine in v2017. I recently upgraded to v2020 and am finding it very slow. The lag response times are unworkable. I type text and it doesn't show for a second or two. It takes a few seconds to show an item eg. Properties for text, after I have clicked on it etc. It is very frustrating.I looked at some other posts in this forum and checked response time for the sample project (Compass Travel) and the response times are good - as expected. Has anyone had a similar experience and what did they do about it? Is it the size of my project? I wouldn't think this project is that large and previous versions of RoboHelp have handled it fine. Would there be legacy issues with upgrading from a 2017 version to 2020 that could cause this issue? Do I need to create a new project and if so, how do I quickly and easily transfer all the content over? Any advice from

I am using Rh 2002.8.34 and trying to produce an output of my project.  Rh processes everything but is hanging on a word document embedded into a topic.  It has not done this in prior output publications.  I let it process for over an hour and it just sits at this displayThis image is from a previously produced Output that works.  I click the image and the word docx file downloads with no errors. Any suggestions on alleviating the output getting stuck on the file?

HI All, I have FM files that I want to migrate to HTML5 (either via the Robohelp or simply to Publish>HTML5).Most of my settings are fine. My problem is with the bulleted text. Since I use the numbering option from the Para Style defs to define my bullets, my bulleted paras (I have 3 to 4 levels of them with various Zapf Dingbats or Wingdig characters) don't come out right. I suppose I could change them using a dedicated CSS.But, since we are now investigating the roundtrip option (where SMEs/Engineers can update the HTML), how can I accomplish this without distorting my source files? (I supposed Publish>HTML5 without Robohelp will not allow me to accomplish roundtripping.)I'd appreciate any ideas you all may have.Thanks, Orly

Does anyone use Statcounter.com to monitor website traffic?If so, where do you put the statcounter HTML code?  In a Master Page? 

We are using the HTML output of RoboHelp 2020.8.34. The link to Startpage in the Breadcrumb-Menu seems not to work correctly when these conditions are met:1. Microsoft Edge is used.2. A specific topic is opened directly (e.g. by using a link) and not opened using the menu.3. The html output is served by a webserver.If then the link to startpage is used, a error from webserver occurs that "directory listing is turned off". It seems that RoboHelp tries to open a directory rather than the startpage. However, the link to startpage works when1. Google Chrome is used2. or Firefox is used3. or the html output is opened directly from hard disk, i.e. in browser a path like D:\RH\Output\1\topic.htm is used and not http://localhost/1/topic.htm. Can someone verify this? This is the link ("Startseite" is german for "Startpage"):

Some time ago someone asked the meaning of an orange arrow against linked documents. I am using RH 2020 (the new UI), and have just updated to update 8. I have an old project that I have upgraded and I am able to output to the Frameless preset with no issues, but when I try to create a Word output (which runs successfully) I see sections of what I believe is javascript in the document (see below). This code can be seen within the <body> tags in the source code but surely shouldn't be part of the output. The rest of the Word output seems to be fine. Has anyone else observed this and is there a solution please? I've looked long and hard at the settings for the Word output present but can't see anything that would account for this. I've also not found this issue reported elsewhere.

In a RoboHelp 2020 generated PDF is there a way to get the Section names to appear in the document?They are refered to as Chapters in the Output Presents and they act like chapters in the TOC.In previous verions the Sections (books) would appear as Chapters in the TOC and also show up in the actual document.Is there a setting/checkbox to include them that I am missing?Thank you.

Hello All! I've figured out to work in translation projects and am now translation documents by myself. However. I publish to frameless and want my users to have access to my documents in their preferred language. I can't seem to figure out how to give my users the choice to select their language. I've come up with putting a dropdown menu in my topics where I put a cross reference link or hyperlink to the specific translated topic. However I can't find the translated topic in the menu. Am I just overlooking something or am I just looking in the wrong direction to do this? How can I put a link to a translated topic from a translation project in my main (EN) topic?  Looking forward to a reply for some guidance. Greetings.

I get this error when trying to import a word document on a recently installed version for RH 2019. I've closed the application and I've rebooted the computer. Nothing makes it work. Any suggestions?

RoboHelp 2020, v8, Frameless, Studio skinWhen customizing graphics e.g. logo or the graphic in the top area via the skin editor, the graphics are visible in the editor but do not show up in the published output. This happens also with the close button (X) in the mobile view when opening the hamburger menu (on the the top right).After havng a closer look at the css files I figured out, that the layoutDiff.css shows corrupted urls as soon as I change something in the skin editor and save it. See following example:As soon as I repair the path in the css manually and save it, everythings works well.It seems that also other elements in the css are corrupted and for examples showing multiple semicolons or duplicated parameters:Has anyone experienced the same issues? Assume I am done with writing the technical content in RoboHelp and I am generating it in responsive html5 format then what folder I need to submit to the developer or client? Do I need to submit the entire folder generated given below to the developer /client?Please see the screengrab for more clarity. 

Hi Community, In RH 2020 Frameless output, is it possible to load the header logo image from the browser/local storage by providing a key-value pair?I would be sharing the frameless output with multiple clients and they want to use their own logo in the production.

Hello Friends - using the latest 2020.8.34 version here. How come I can never make "Custom-sized popup" in Image Map to work for me? It always goes to something like 600x300 and I don't know why. Is this a know issue? Thank you so much.

Our Security team performed a Fortify SCA scan of our source code and found some security vulnerabilities relating to some of our RoboHelp files. I need help fixing this issue. Only related post I saw was a suggested patch for RH 2015.  The files that are problematic are common.min.js, layout.min.js, rh.min.js, and topic.min.js.  Can anyone help?

Hi,I was applying bold character to a word in a sentence. I was successfully able to apply the bold character but now I want to remove it. How can I do it?Like in the below screengrab the word " holdings" is in bold character but I want to remove it now. 

For Prev and next button in my Frameless output, I used browse sequences and added all the required sections and topics in the order. When the Frameless output was deployed for production, I found Prev and next button is working only for sections, but Prev and Next button aren't working for topics under the section. In the below-attached pics, the first picture's button works, and the second picture's buttons doesn't work. In Robohelp's local output buttons were working fine but as we deployed the output, we are facing this issue. I request to help me with this issue. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I was trying to customize the skin color of my responsive html5 final output but the pencil icon to customize it was missing. Is it because I am using a trial version of adobe RoboHelp? 

In RH2019 Classic, on the Edit tab, I could increase the view to make the content appear larger and easier to read/edit.  Is there a similar option in the new UI?  I tried hiding the left and right panels but the work area remains the same.   If this feature is not available in the new UI, I would like to request it.  Thanks.
