Hi all, running Robohelp 11 on a virtual machine, which ports must be free, that the license check is working? Or is only normal internet access neccassary that this is working? best regards
RH 2020.7.46, Frameless layout, customized Studio skin Is it possible to create your own home page to replace the Studio skin home page? I see two options in the layout settings:Select "Use skin home page" on the Layout tab. This gives you a series of tiles for the top-level heads, plus a prominent search box, background photo, etc. See the attached Studio_skin_home_page.png file for an example (I had to make it super-generic so I don't reveal too much 🙂 ).Deselect "Use skin home page". In this case, the help will open on the first topic in your table of contents. This option gives you the usual structure of a topic page with the left and right panels, and the search icon in the header. See the attached topic_page.png file for an example (again very generic). The project I'm working on has about 25 top-level heads, which is a lot of tiles to show on the home page. Good afternoon, I am facing a problem with using Rohelp at my organisation. Maybe you could help me. We are using Robohelp 2019 (together with Smart SVN, but I don't think this is relevant). Yearly we make a new project by copy paste the project of the previous year and change the dates in the relevant files. This time some issues came up. We had problems with the variables. That problem is fixed eventualy by someone at Adobe. But now the styling seem to dissapear when I generate an output. The CSS files are coming with, but there is a lot missing in the htmlcode of the topics (in the output file) (see the attached images). Someone at our ict-department said to me that there service is looking for <div class="topiccontent"> within the html tag and using that part. And that part is now missing, so the topics are not showing at their end. Where can I add this in the outputscript or somewhere else? I cannot put it manually in each topic, because
My colleagues and I are currently using RoboHelp 2017, version 13.0.0.257, on-premise. We are not yet in a cloud-based environment. We are using version control with SharePoint. Is it at all possible to upgrade to the latest version of RoboHelp? What do we need to have in place in order to upgrade once we do move to cloud-based services? How are version control files maintained?
Hello All, We used to work in 2019 Classic with 1 parent and 32 child projects. We had the following (bold information) redirect housed in the parent:The redirect is housed in this topic.It is in the <head></head> and points to /mergedProjects/Welcome/Welcome_1.htm My question is, is the redirect necessary in RH2020? I upgraded all our information to RH2020, when I did a test publish, it seems as if I get stuck on the Welcome page. Any process I select flashes the redirect code (from above) before showing the Welcome page again?

We have installed Robohelp 11 on a Windows 10 desktop and need it for a legacy system. The desktop is now to be virtualised. How can I ensure that the Robohelp 11 licence will continue to work after virtualisation?Thanks for your help 🙂
Dear community, we are a software company in the Netherlands. Currently we are using Adobe Robohelp 11. We would like to convert our data to Robohelp 19 (and eventually 2020). Our IT specialists have tried to convert the data, unfortunately with no success. My collages tried different ways to contact Adobe Robohelp, unfortunately we didn’t receive an answer yet. We would like to get some help, do you know who we should contact?
Hello, I am using adobe robohelp 2020.7.46 version. I have written something and tried to see the output preset eye icon how looks. But it shows me a blank file however I have typed smt and saved it. Again, when I tried to generate the word output preset whatever I have written on RoboHelp, it gives me a blank file. tell me why this happened?
I copied some texts from word and wrote some text on RoboHelp. However, the size drastically changes. I wanted to select all the content and resize it to one font size. But, unable to find any particular option to do that.

Hi all - We are currently using RoboHelp HTML 7.0When I publish, frames cannot be viewed when using Chrome, although they are just fine when using IE or Firefox. This is the publically shared URL for accessing this file - http://responsibility.motorola.com/web_help/index.htmI've been told by co-workers this is not a version issue, it does not work for higher versions of RoboHelp either. Does anyone know the accuracy of this statement? Hello RHers,I've been tasked with updating an old version or Robohelp (not sure of the previous version) with RH2020. I can open the project and click through all the topics in the TOC, but when I try to generate Printed Documentation I get a progress bar with the message "Calculating Topics List..." No matter how long I wait, the message does not change. I got an error message when I tried to generate a PDF that said I needed to install Java. Now that I've installed Java, I get the same behavior for PDF and Printed Documentation. I have a suspicion that the issue has something to do with version incompatibility. I've tried adjusting most of the output settings with no result. My only idea is to harvest the help topics from the existing project and put them into a new project, but there are many hundreds of help topics. Any ideas on troubleshooting this issue? Hi there, I'm on RH 2020.7.46. I received an email from Adobe today saying that Upgrade 8 was available. I cannot find the link to do the upgrade. On the Help Menu, when I select Check for updates, it says I have the latest version, 2020.7.0. It's not recognizing the .46 at the end of the version number. Any insight on how I can do this? There is no link in the email, either.
Hello Team,I have installed RoboHelp for the first time. When I opened the application it gets stuck, for example, whether I click New Project or Open Project or Import, etc. It is not responsive at all. Tried restarting the application several times but it does not work. Please find the attached screen capture for a better understanding.Could you kindly provide steps to resolve the issue? This update includes enhancements and bug fixes specific to PDF output, HTML output, search function, Single Sign On (SSO) for publishing profiles, and security fixes. RH 2017 had a CSH Test tool that allowed users to test context IDs to make sure they had been added to the correct topics. Users opened the CSH Test tool by selecting Tools tab > Open section > Toolbox and clicking the CSH Test icon() Does RH 2020 have this tool or one like it?
I have a project that I upgraded from RH 2019 Classic to RH 2020.7.46. I use this project to generate two help outputs, one being a small subset of the larger project. In RH 2019 each output had its own index. Upon upgrade the indexes were merged and it seems like a lot of cleanup is going to be required. 1) For one thing, any entries that used a comma (for example, "Transactions, viewing") are split in two, leaving me with a lot of useless entries like "viewing" (and a lot of entries that begin with "see", where it was originally something like "MCC, see Merchant Category Code"). In the Index panel, I have tried renaming these links to get them back to the way they were. It allows me to type in the comma and additional words, but then throws them away when I hit Enter. Is there a trick to getting these to work? Every index I've ever seen uses this format, so there has to be a way to do it. 2) I am generating Frameless output with a Studio skin. I have one CSS file for Online (Studio Frameless) and PDF outputs in RH 2020.7.46, however, I would like the font size to be larger for Online (smaller for PDF).Is there a way to assign a different CSS file to be used for each kind of output? Or, is there a way to tweak the one CSS file so that a different font size is used for PDF vs Online?
What is major difference between frameless and responsive HTML outout presets? In both cases, can we create pages which are responsive in all screens ? Desktop, mobile and tab views ?
We published a project in April with the center and right panel background in a light gray and now, even tho the skin edit preview shows the light gray, the frameless published help has a distince white center panel where the topic content displays. We have the TOC on the left and mini TOC on the right. There is a home page with tiles that renders correctly. The RoboHelp project samples show the same issue. Does somebody know why this is happening and how to fix it? We've compared all of the settings and tried replacing the CSS and skin with the one that worked and it's still a problem. Any help is appreciated!
