I have made a .js file with code to sort a table column (copied from w3schools).The code resides in my project's contents\assets\scripts\webhelp_scripts.jsThe topic that contains the table to be sorted has the line <script src="../../../assets/scripts/webhelp_scripts.js"></script> If I preview the topic in Chrome, the script works just fine.However, if I compile the project, the js file is not copied to the \assets\scripts folder, so the sorting does not work. If I copy the .js file to the output manually, the sorting works again. Do js files need to be in a specific location to be copied to the output?

After upgrading to RH 2020.7 I'm unable to apply div styles. Say you have a class looking like this:div.my-style { font-size: 28px; }The style is visible in the style list but is not applied when picking it in the text editor. If I change the class to a span it works...span.my-style { font-size: 28px; } I had no issues with this prior the update.

Hi Everyone,I am working on a project using a default skin and the usual components on the homepage. The question I have is regarding the Search bar on the main homepage.When I hover over the search bar (at the middle) I cannot click in the search bar, and subsequently nothing happens. It has to be at a specific place on the search bar (above the middle) for it to allow me to search.That being said, when I move my mouse cursor upwards towards the top half of the search bar (above the middle mark), then I can click within it and subsequently search fine.This is a slightly weird experience, I have already tried altering the container, inner and outer search box and text field information.I would like to have this search box in such a way, that wherever I click inside of the search box, I am able to begin searching.Please can I have some assistance in this regard? Any suggestions will be welcomed. The version of Robohelp I am using is: Version 2020.6.76The skin is a Frameless skin ca

Hi,We are currently using RH 2019, soon 2020 quite extensively and would like to move to "context sensitive help" mode.  I am rather new to this and I see that there are 2 ways to implement this feature, either with MAP Id's or direct URL from the UI to the topics. Am I correct?  If so, what are the advantages of using MAP Id's versus direct URL?  Are MAP Id's really necessary? Isn't it easier to use URL directly? Thank you

Hello,I am using RH 2020.6.76 and trying to use the Frameless output type. My project has a little less than 3000 topics.After I generate the Frameless output and putting it on our webserver, the Search has a drastically decreased response time the first time I search. Sometimes it is 10 seconds, sometimes more where the screen shows no response at all. Users complain because they think search is broken since the screen does not indicate that it is doing anything.I did some tracking and it appears that this time is largely spent downloading search_db.js, which is approximately 26 MB. The search speed does improve once the file is stored locally.My questions are as follows:How can I speed up this response time?Does the recently released 7 patch fix this?What is the search_db.js.gz do? It is currently excluded from our builds since Git does not allow us to check in binary files over 5 MB.Thanks.Tim

Hi,I am working with RH11, and I transferred some projects from some obsolete Windows 7 machine onto Windows10 machines. Everything worked fine except when after I generate the online HTML5 layer, when I choose to view what I got, and I try to search for something, a weird window (see screenshot attached) is displayed instead of taking me to the places where the search sting is encountered.Did I do anything wrong during the transfer? I simply copied the directories where the projects were from one machine to the other, and I made sure that the drive letters are identical.Thank you 

I am updating a project from xpj to rhpj on robohelp 2020.7.46, to produce the word doc. but the progress pop window is running continuously and it is not generating any output. it's showing:  

I used to have clean reports on the broken links.  Now, I am seeing some issues with the Coffee skin and custom-toc-images.  I don't use the Coffee skin; I toyed with it once then abandoned it.  My new output preset was created after I decided against using Coffee. I cannot find any reference to it within any of my files.  I don't know why the output reports broken links to custom-toc-images.  I'm obviously not looking in the right places.  How do I clear up these broken links?  

Hi team, I'am facing strange issue here with RH Server 11 ! I created some user accounts through RH server web admin portal, but i can't see them in the related SQL Database, and I can't even manage/edit them on the webadmin RHS11 portal !  - Test connection between RHS 11 and SQL express DB is ok  Any one has an idea about the issue ? 

I upgraded a small project from Robohelp 2019 (Classic) to Robohelp 2020.6.76 (modern), and it's developed a duplicate set of breadcrumbs and a graphic that shouldn't be there. Any thoughts on how to remove the breadcrumbs and graphic? Thanks! 

Hello Team,I am looking for customizing the text that appears in the RoboHelp 2020 output Search box.  Here is the screen shot of the output.In the above screen shot, I want to replace the text "Search" with a customized phrase. For example, "Use search phrase within quotes"I am trying to modify this in the Home page section of Skin, but to no avail. Please help me in customizing the text. Thanks, Sneha

After installing Robohelp 2020 and attempting to launch, the program displays the splash screen then briefloy displays initialising then stops. Task manager shows 5 instances running but no movement. Has anyone got any ideas how to launch the opening screen to create a project? Have uninstalled and reinstalled several times with the same result , av software disabled. My machine is standalone Win 10, NUC i7, 64bit, 16gb ram and 100gb free hdd space.

RH2020 V7Publishing to an ftp, after changing only a single line in a file, the publishing log shows files that were not affected at all from screenhots pngs to topics that were not adjusted. The upload takes several minutes instead of just uploading the actual file I changed. Sometimes publishing fails and requires 2-3 attempts or restarting RH. 

Is it possible to import an entire project from Author-IT to RoboHelp? If it is possible, will the CSS get affected or remain intact? What are the different project file types that RoboHelp currently supports if I were to import from another similar tool?

Hi,We have a product that has almost all its documentation on Wordpress. We want to import all of that to RH.Definitely don't want to copy-paste. Exporting Word press content to Word and importing it is a way, I would think.Other than that any suggestion? Considering that importing Word does mess the styles etc. and cleaning that later is a nightmare. Any suggestions?

Hi Team, I've got a robohelp project which is on version 2020.6.76I've now donloaded update 7 for Robohelp and not able to open the old project.I'm getting a pop up message to upgrade the project. I won't be able to do this as it affects other team members.Can any one help? RegardsSK

Hi There, I upgraded my large robohelp file from 2019 Classic to 2020 and everything looked fine. I then deployed it to our test static website via Azure Storage. I opened it up and again, everything looked fine. After Deploying the file to our actual website through Azure, there were some layout and TOC problems. Much of the TOC was fine but on some pages it didn't have the right font and all of the headers were wrong. I think that is the reason for the TOC mixup. Does anyone know how I can fix this? I did notice that the SSL, Language, Layout etc.. files in my classic don't show up in my 2020 (see image). I also included a small image of the css that I see in the 2020. I'm just wondering if some of the fonts couldn't migrate over or something. We were pretty excited that everything was going so smoothly. But unfortunately it wasn't. Thanks, Julianna  

I team, I'am facing a strange issue after migrating from RH9 => RH10 => RH11 server !  RH11 installed on Win2019 VM DB SQL express DB on same Win2019 VM DB test connection is OK Migration process from RH9 to RH10 and RH10 to RH11 was successful ! Access to admin webpage is OK Surfing admin web page is also OK  Except when i click the Projet pan, its indefinitely displaying "Contacting RoboHelp Server" !  I created a new context : OK Browing to that new context is also OK from webadmin page ! I contacted the support adobe and here is what they advised so far :  "If you are facing the issue only with migrated context then you can try the migration process one more time and check for the issue again. However, if earlier you published the WebHelp output then you can republish the output as Responsive HTML5 or Frameless in a new context as WebHelp output is not supported on RHS 11."  Any idea please o

In RH10, under the project manager, there was the URLs folder. It was possible to drag an URL from there to a topic. In RH2020.6.76, I don't find that URLs folder. Where is it?

Dear all,I'd like to make a help documentation both desktop-based and Web-based ,but now I only have a CHM file which is made by dreamweaver and CHM maker. Is is possible to combine those html files made from dreamweaver into a online format in ROBOHELP?  Thx

Is it possible to create an interactive "diagramming/process flow" chart (i.e. Visio) in RoboHelp? A way to create a series of basic images, with editable text boxes, that can be linked to other topics? Other than importing the images and creating image maps? Does RoboHelp have "boxes", or buttons, that can be hyperlinked and contain text?I can create a process flow in Visio (or Illustrator), import the image into RoboHelp, and create the image maps to point towards the topics. But when a change is needed, I have to go back to Visio and do the whole process over again. If the new image is close to the old one, I can get by with some minor adjusting to the image map boundaries, but a major change means pretty much a full remake.

My company would like to buy RoboHelp 2020 for me and I was wondering if it is possible to have it installed and use it while TCS 2017 is already installed on the computer. Would I still be able to use the other parts of TCS 2017? (I work a lot with FrameMaker and Adobe Acrobat.)

I am currently using RH 2019.0.14.I am trying to publish Responsive HTML5 output to our FTP server. I successfully generated output but when I try to publish it, the following message remains there:After some time, the Application Error message appears:and then the following message is displayed:The Publish Log some times displays this error:and some times it displays this error:I will appreciate if any body guide me to the resolution of this problem.   

Hi,We have a product online help developed using Frameless skin. On the Welcome page, we have the search bar and the buckets/categories or whatever you call and the user clicks on it to enter the help system.Is it possible to someway customize the layout in a way where we can add other elements to this welcome page?For example, above the buckets we want to add some Announcements. Or in the area under the buckets we want to add something. Is that possible?

Peter's web page states that if you need to supply a URL to open the help with a filter applied, use this syntax:url?f=taggroup:tagnameBut how do I do this if I want to point to a bookmark? The URL for a bookmark adds #bookmark to the URL, but when I tried using url#bookmark?f=taggroup:tagnameThe default filter was applied instead. Is there a special syntax that must be used for when a bookmark is used?I am using Robohelp 2020.7.46, frameless skin.
