We have a huge collection of photo references . Doesens of TBs probably . Does anyone know an Ai that could keyword it with focus to materials, textures. Sorry for offtopic question but I hope the crowd here could know better than random Photoshop folks. Few years ago I tried to upload a few images to Lightroom cloud version . It hardly recognize material/texture / ortho style of images and do unrelated keywords. Same some other Ai services I tried. Wonder if it got any progress lately ?
Hi guys I'm having a problem with the Substance bake. Until yesterday everything was working correctly and today I'm having this type of problem. the UVs and Normals and the other import export settings are the usual ones that I have always used without problems, but today I don't know why the program gives me this error. the problem concerns the Bake of the AO. I tried to make a bake on more or less complex objects and even to make a new bake on existing projects that I had already worked on. the problem is always the same. I had Bake tested on a colleague of mine's PC and everything works correctly for him, so it makes me think that the problem could be with my computer or video card or video card driver, I don't know. Please help me.
Textures are not baking well, especially for ambient occlusion, they are either striped, dotted or completely shifted relative to other textures and overlap! The solution is to turn off GPU Raytracing, but this results in huge CPU usage!
Issue:A strange circle appears when rendering in Iray as soon as Caustic Sampler is enabled. The issue persists after restarting the software and accross projects. What Makes It Worse:Increasing the field of view makes it progressively more visible. What Makes It Better or Removes It:Lowering the field of view reduces it, and at the lowest possible FOV, it almost disappears.Switching to orthographic view removes it entirely.Enabling clear color makes it go away.Disabling the caustic sampler completely removes the issue.
I'm trying to install the software on win10 for the first time, with 2560*1440 screen, 100% scale. Yet no matter how I change language, resolution, scale or DPI settings in compatibility, the install button still dont show up.Has anyone encountered the problem or my pc has irregular settings?
As title states. Is there a Havok Game engine plugin for Substance painter?Primarily for exporting settings?Game models that I am wanting to repaint are based on a game that uses the Havok Game engine.I do not see any options for this in the export texture lists. Only ones for like amazon, Unity, Unreal, etc..Just wondering if anyone might know if something like this exists or if scripting is required?I don't script in any way shape or form, Never have been able to wrap my head around coding.Always been a WYSIWYG kinda creator. I can design, create and modify in almost any 2 or 3d modeling software and such, but when it comes to coding.. Not one to soak up that deep of information.
I applied for the student campaign of the Adobe 3D package. I didn't receive a confirmation code in my school email, what can I do? I'm starting a 30-day free trial right now
Hello. While working in Substance painter at high and medium texture levels, I often have a program crash. LOG writes: [Engine Configuration] Export resolution clamped to 4k. More than 2GB of VRAM are required to allows 8k export (1998MB detected). Please tell me how you can solve this problem so that the program works normally?
version: Substance 3D Painter 10.1.2 (Steam edition)OS: windows 11 24H2 (OS Build 26.100.3037)Everytime i try to save a file even on separate drive whole process is stopped and results in a crash. I deleted files from documents and reinstalled it but still same issue.
I've been facing this issue for a while now. Can someone explain what's going on?
Hi, I tried to bake mesh maps from high to low poly, but when I bake the textures, it doesn't do it properly.Everytime I have the same issue, no matter what I do.I tried to smooth normals, recalculate them on blender, I unwrapped it correctly without overlapping the UVs, aligning the high poly and low poly in blender. I tried to fix the problem even by looking for people who had similar issues, but nothing. Despite my efforts, the result is always the same. Please I can't fix the problem and I'm desperate
I am once again getting this error when launching Painter or ANY other Adobe app."Sorry, Adobe Substance 3D Painter has encountered an error and needs to close."I am not going to format my PC as has been suggested. I have uninstalled and reinstalled creative cloud and the apps in question. This has been going on for months and Adobe is happy to take my money and make it virtually impossible to contact anyone or cancel a service THAT IS NOT WORKING.Please solve this today or I will take action to cancel all of my subscriptions and demand refunds, even if I have to stay on the phone for a week.Bug report information:1. Adobe Substance Painter(latest version)2. Windows 10 Pro3. Try and launch the app4. Expect product that I pay for to run but error pops up and closes programThis is ridiculous. It is a known issue that has been going on for years.
Hello community, I am recently a new beginner to Substance 3D Painter and have been learning it through trial and error + YouTube videos. I'm having an issue with "Generators" on any type of fill layer, when I apply a generator with a curvature the mesh ends up going transparent for some reason. I've also tried with "Mask Editor" on the "Generators" and that too end's up going transparent. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong and I'm a little stuck. The mesh has been exported from Blender, I've checked all the UV's and normals to ensure that they are all flipped and correct but this issue is still happening. It's probably an easy fix that I can't seem to figure out. I've attached below some screenshot's of the issue. Many thanks,
When Baking textures, this happens with the Ambient Occlusion
Hi!So as stated above I've got a promotional code for SP from FAB, redeem it, and everything works smooth until i was denied acess to software and later I received a letter from adobe whith accusations of "suspitions of fraudulent activity on my account". Adobe employee @Cyril Dellenbach was actively monitoring this, but there were no communication with them since Feb 3.It's been 15 days and issue is still not resolved. That is not what I expect from a customer service for years of creative cloud subscription. I really hope @Cyril Dellenbach or another tech support will contact me and restore my acess to Substance Painter license.
Hi Folks,I installed Substance Painter on my computer new, and moved the window to my second screen, which is a Huion Drawing screen. After I closed the application and reopened it, it gets a white screen and freezes. I'm not able to open Sub. Painter anymore. Can someone help me or give me a tip how to fix this?!ThnxBenc
I have recently been trying to bake from hipoly to lowpoly. However, I have begun to run into the error: "[BakingProcess] Can't create a resource from the baker result: Failed to write temporary image at /private/var/folders/52/s31hz9h10bs195v_pl9ytnxr0000gn/T/SubstancePainter-Tmp-GyNrde: Unknown error".This only occurs when trying to bake curvature or AO maps - when I press bake, the normal map and World space normal maps work fine, but when baking AO or curvature the baking visualisation window freezes and the progress bar does not move. when I press cancel the error pops up. other maps work fine. Previously restarting seemed to help, but now even that does not fix the issue.I am using a M1 Macbook Pro 2020, using Sequoia 15.3.1 (I recently updated as I thought this might fix the issue, and was using Sonoma before). I am using Substance Painter 10.1.2Other posts with this error discuss reverting nividia drivers (which is naturally not possible for me) or disabling GPU ray tracing (th
I do have a very fine mesh. The Vertex Color is assigned, it's cleary to see when using 3dsmax.After exporting the .fbx file and importing to Substance Painter... well, Substance Painter can't read the vertex color information. I have exported numerous other meshes with no problem. What's causing that issue?
Hi guys.Does anybody have a reliable recipe for attaching the Visual Code debugger to a Painter Python plugin? I've tried a couple of ways, but I've had no luck so far.
hey there!i'm trying to use 3D procedural noises (like perlin noise for example) as textures in generator like mask editor. i'm working with UDIM's and i'm haveing weird artefacts. if i'm using it as a mask where you can choose a projectin there is an option "fill (match per uv tile)" which helps solve the issue but there is no such option when you put it as texture in generator
I made some simple geometry in blender and exported it to substance painter to be textured but I keep having issues with baking no matter how I UV unwrap. (I've seen people saying it has to do with UV overlapping but i cant find any faces that overlap). With further testing I found that even simple geometry such as cubes have these issues so I dont think its related to overlapping UVs.
We had so much to share that we decided to jump in early with the Community Digest for February 2025. This month: Anna Koroleva adds a touch of eerie atmosphere in Substance 3D Assets, a look at the advantages for motion design provided by native 3D integration in After Effects, a whole caboodle of 3D educational resources, and more. And away we goooo! Featured Artist Beyond the Event Horizon: a collection of 3D materials by Anna Koroleva Our Featured Artist this month is freelance 3D environment/material artist Anna Koroleva. The Substance 3D Assets library is once again adding Signature Collections by guest artists to its impressive library of resources. For the first such collection of 2025, Anna Koroleva has created Beyond the Event Horizon, a series of sci-fi-themed materials that are at once natural and organic yet architectural, non-organic matter that feels like it can grow and evolve, as well as deck plating and bulkhead materials that no derelict sp
Hey community, Recently i was applying textures to my model in blender.. The texturing process were fully made in substance painter..The issue I am facing is that...I am getting some grunges or blackspots on the textures when it is being applied. I have never used any height maps during my texturing process It's just that when i am applying textures in blender these weird spots stick to my textures..Is there any reason and solution to this ..??Pls let me know
If I import a FBX with multiple meshes in it, there should be easy way to turn them on and off on a model. Not material id's, not selection sets, not geometry masks, no setting shader to opacity and painting over things you want to hide, none of this around-the-corner nonsense. There should be a tree showing FBX file contents (meshes) and checkboxes to turn them visible or invisible (which should also make brushes ignore them!). Why isn't this a thing??? Or if it is, where is it hidden on this bloated UI? It's evident that Painter already detects separated 3D elements, because you can fill by element. Just make a list of them!
Hi there,I would like you to ask about Substance 3D Painter.I couldn`t export multiple layers to PSD when I`m using Substance 3D Painter with UV Tiles (UDIMs) → It woked correct using single UV tile but seems UV Tiles (UDIMs) had soome ploblems. Please let me know If you know the solution about above.I`m using version of 10.1.0 build 3963.Thanks ,
