Substance 3D Plugins

I am on a Mac with M1 Ultra and using the latest version of Cinema 4D and Redshift.  I am bringing in the .sbsar files directly into Cinema 4D to quickly make some variations.  My question is by doing this verses making variations in Substance Painter and exporting the multiple materials as Redshift materials does this increase renders time / IPR renderings?  Im guessing by using the materials inside of C4D and rendering there always need to be calculations done.  Just trying to boost performance and come up with optimal workflow. 

Hello, I can’t activate the Integration Tools. I get the following error: [error message]. It appears active for only a few seconds, and then the mentioned error appears. I don’t have access to Discord. Upon reviewing the community, it seems to be a common issue. Windows 11Blender 4.1.1

hey Is there any problem using resources/material nodes in Unreal inside a .sbsar ?use these nodes after the imported texture is Substance? and use the expose resources created in Substance without problems? thanks

I am using an sbsar of mine in Blender 4.1.1 using the Substance 3D addon v2.0.0: parameters of the sbsar are displayed in sort of a random order, not following the ordering made in Designer, nor an alphabetical ordering either. This is barely usable in this way, as parameters follow each other with no relevant logic. Any idea? Substance parameters need to be displayed in the same order as defined in Designer, as this ordering has a logic made by the Substance author and should be reflected as-is though the add-on.

hello What is the most correct way to position a decal like the one in the image in Substance designer?the mesh I want to do this on is a box. maxresdefault.jpg (1280×720) (ytimg.com) How can I do this with a radial gradient node? thanks

hello, I´ve been trying to install the newest add on from Subatnce to Blender.Unfortunately I can´t go past stage when you install Integration tools.Tried multiple versions of Blender versions, deleted folder in Appdata as advised and ran out of all optionsStill getting this message :  [Code_Response.toolkit_install_error] Error while installing the Substance 3D Integration Tools and I´m also on Windows 10. It seems to be common issue but I have no clue how to fix it please help

I'm currently running Blender 4.1.0, but also tested with Blender 4.0.2. I will download a material from the Creative Cloud asset library, and then load it into Blender via the Substance add-on. When the material renders, say a red/orange soil color, it is displayed as almost a blue shade. The only thing that seems to correct this right now is by setting the hue value from 0 to 0.5, however that's still not the same color as what I'm seeing in the asset library, nor in the colors shown in the Substance add-on. Has anyone else seen this? I've noticed it for multiple materials where I was expecting reds and oranges, but instead I'm seeing blues. Myabe it's a setting I messed up recently? Hi guys, whenever we load substancemaya.mll plugin in Maya, a 'substance' folder will be created automatically in the project folder, is there a way to disable this behaviour? 

hello If I open a file, created in unreal 5.0.3 and with many sbsar, in unreal 5.3.2, do I run the risk of losing this file?Do SBSAR materials continue to be of the same quality?Is it appropriate to make a backup of the Unreal project as a precaution?How should I make a backup of the project to prevent this? Can I simply duplicate the project folder?thanks

hello I noticed that unreal does not accept Ambient Occlusion channels from .sbsar files.Which channels do unreal also not accept from .sbsar?How should we work with clear-coat?and other not so common channels thanks

Hello All,When I select the material, I receive an error message as shown in the attachment and the material is not loaded. I deleted the plugin, cleared all folders and reinstalled it, but the problem  what is wrong?  

Error: "Substance 3D in Blender: failed to load the Substance file" when loading the texture, the version is new, everything was downloaded yesterday, but here is an error. 

SD to UE5's sbsar public parameters may have garbled characters and cannot be in Chinese. Can you fix this? This will be very helpful for those who are not very proficient in English. Thank you very much

Substance is great. I really love using it. And the more I learn and experiment with it, the more I want to use it in ways people have never seen before.But the problem for us has been for a while, Substance can do so much incredible stuff in Unity, Unreal and Cryengine, but all of these engines have fundamental flaws that just make them unappealing. Be it floating point imprecisions, lack of features, monetization models or ease of use for beginners just to name a few. My only regret in choosing Godot is that Substance is not supported, which means that all the features that make Substance Designer so great are off limits. I'd love to just use the native Substance file format and tweak the looks through exposed parameters in the engine instead of going through the endless iterative cycle of "make change - load material into Substance Player - render animation - forgot to change file type/size of output/amount of frames to get the loop - render properly now - load individual image

I have a project using substance materials that can not boot when I enable the substance plugin. When its loading as soon as it gets to compile the substane materials it quits,  I have gone through deleteing all the materials that might crash it, but its seem they all do. If I boot a clean project or a project without substance materials in it then no issues. If I boot another project with substance materials it also crashes.Need help, cant work!Thanks in advance

I want to load a sbsar file and attach the material to any objects using Python API. Like following pseudo codes, import bpy import substance3d path = '<path/to/sbsar_file>' substance3d.obj.load(path) material = bpy.context.materials['name_of_sbsar'] object = bpy.context.selected_objects[0] object.data.materials.append(material) I have used Blender 4.0 and new Substance 3D Plugin for Blender. Does anyone have any good advices?

Hello,The 3.9.0 plugin in was working great with Unity LTS 2022. Made the mistake of hitting the Update button and now the susbstance engine won't initialize. Error message is:Fail to load substance engine: ~\Assets\Adobe\Substance3DForUnity\Runtime\Plugins\sbsario.dllI've tried delete Library, uninstall entire Adobe folder, re-install etc, always now met with that error.Is there a way to rollback to v3.9.0?Or a workaround for this error?Thanks.  

Hi guys! Hope you are all doing well. I have a question. When is the Substance plug-in come out for Blender 4.0? I´ve seen a drop at the prerelease page but that was Intergration tools 2.0 only. I would love to know, whereabouts is the development of the plug for Blender 4.0. Thank you otherwise for a great suite of tools. I use it daily.

Hi, I'm trying to install the substance blender plugin, but I don't even have the option to enable it to install the integration tools. This is the error I'm getting. I don't really understand what I'm looking at, do I need to reinstall blender or something?
