Adobe Media Encoder

Hi all, I am currently experiencing an issue when batch exporting from Premiere Pro; When I batch export sequences using Media Encoder, they all seem to have the music levels way too loud - and does not accurately reflect the timeline. I’m certain the issue is with Media Encoder, as when I export my video within Premiere Pro, the audio levels are all correct. I’m not sure what’s causing this but I’d appreciate any advice on solving the issue as my job requires a lot of batch exporting.I have tried reinstalling both Media Encoder and Premiere Pro, but the issue persists. It is strange how it’s always the music track that seems to be the one boosted. For context, I am running Premiere Pro Version 26.0.1 (build 3) and Media Encoder 26.0 (build 60) on a MacBook Pro (Nov 2024) w/48 GB Memory on macOS Tahoe 26.3.It may be worth noting that I do run plugins in Premiere Pro, such as Artlist.io, Premiere Composer, and a select few from Knights of the Editing Table - Not sure if this could cause i

There has been a long-standing regression affecting both Premiere and Media Encoder, introduced between versions 26.0 and 26.2, and is still present. With certain H.264 footage that has a 1.0 pixel aspect ratio, Premiere and Media Encoder incorrectly interpret it as 1.778 instead. This results in the footage being displayed with the wrong aspect ratio and requires manually changing the interpretation and/or applying a transform to correct it.ME 2025ME 2026 (after 26.2)The same footage is correctly interpreted as 1.0 by other media players and applications, including After Effects. The issue also does not occur in the 2025 versions of Premiere or Media Encoder.ME 2026ME 2025Steps to reproduce: Import the affected H.264 footage into Media Encoder. Check the interpreted pixel aspect ratio. Observe that it is incorrectly detected as 1.778 instead of 1.0. Other bug reports on Premiere reporting the regression: Please fix this long standing issue once and for all. Issue happening on both

When I use Media Encoder to transcode a video—for example, Apple ProRes 422 HQ with Linear PCM audio—After Effects and Premiere create a delay of about one frame between the audio and the video, which is very annoying. This problem only occurs when I set the output settings to MP4 H.264 with AAC audio. As I need to deliver an MP4 H.264 file with AAC as the audio codec to my client, I have no choice but to use other video transcoding software. And in that case, I don’t have any issues with the audio and video being out of sync; the audio is exactly the same as in the source Apple ProRes file.Is this a bug or have I configured the settings incorrectly?I have attached my ME output preset along with a screenshot of the delay caused by the encoding . Thanks.

Title:Adobe Media Encoder Dock progress bar freezes and does not update on macOS 27Product: Adobe Media Encoder 2026Version: 26.3.2Operating system: macOS 27.0 (Golden Gate)Platform: MacDescription:After updating macOS to version 27.0 (Golden Gate), the progress indicator displayed on the Adobe Media Encoder icon in the macOS Dock no longer updates during an export. When an export is running: The progress bar appears on the Adobe Media Encoder Dock icon. The export itself works normally. The progress percentage and progress bar inside Adobe Media Encoder update correctly. However, the progress bar on the Dock icon appears and immediately stops at its initial position. It does not advance as the export progresses. The problem occurs consistently. This functionality worked correctly before updating macOS to 27.0.Steps to reproduce: Launch Adobe Media Encoder 2026 version 26.3.2. Add a video file to the Queue. Start an export. Observe the Adobe Media Encoder icon in the macOS

When I send a render to Media Encoder, it will encode the video using proxies instead of my high resolution media despite the option in media encoder not being checked. All of my footage is properly linked. I can enable/disable proxies in premiere pro and the watermark appears/disappears. The only way I can get it to behave is by disabling proxies in premiere pro first, and then sending the render to Media Encoder, which I’ve never had to do and is not the expected behavior. This has burned me several times on very long renders with short deadlines. Proxies seem to work as expected when I render directly from Premiere Pro.

The order of the Media Encoder queue has been reversed. Items are now added bottom-to-top and the queue runs in that reversed direction too. There is no option that I can see to revert this back. I assume this is a bug, as nobody would have requested this as a feature.

Hi. I’ve been using Premiere and Media Encoder with no issues, but now I’m having problems with Media Encoder (v26.5.2 Build 2) failing to load audio plug-ins. I uninstalled this version and installed earlier versions but I’m still having the same problem. I’m using Premiere (v26.5.2 Build 5), on a MacBook M4 Pro running Tahoe 26.6.2.I have checked/changed the privacy settings as per info I can find/steps to follow (allowing access to Documents Folder & Removable Volumes), and I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled Media Encoder, but it hasn't helped. The plug-ins are working fine in Premiere. Please assist.

Hi everyone, I’m running into a reproducible issue with Motion Graphics Templates (MOGRTs) created in After Effects 25.5.These templates contain complex JavaScript Expressions and are saved as .mogrt files in my Creative Cloud Library. Setup:macOS Tahoe 26Premiere Pro 25.5After Effects 25.5Media Encoder 25.5Problem:Inside Premiere Pro, everything works perfectly. The MOGRTs display correctly, preview without issues, and render exactly as expected. However, as soon as I send the sequence to Adobe Media Encoder, the MOGRT layers are rendered incorrectly or completely broken. Some elements disappear, shift, or lose their expression-driven logic. What I’ve already tried:Cleared all media caches (AE, Premiere, AME)Switched renderer between Mercury Playback Engine (GPU Metal) and Software OnlyDisabled hardware encodingSaved the MOGRTs locally instead of from the CC LibraryTested multiple export codecs (H.264, QuickTime Apple ProRes, DNxHR, etc.)Enabled “Import Sequences Natively”

BUG: Adobe Media Encoder 2026 – H.264 exports use incorrect color metadata and produce visible color shifts at certain resolutionsProduct: Adobe Media Encoder 2026Related application: Adobe After Effects 2026Operating system: Windows 10Encoding: H.264, Software Encoding, VBR 2-PassSeverity: High – Incorrect color reproduction in professional video delivery workflowsIssue SummaryAdobe Media Encoder 2026 produces visibly incorrect colors and inconsistent color space metadata when exporting H.264 videos at certain non-standard resolutions. The issue appears to depend on the H.264 output resolution, rather than the source video's color metadata or encoding settings. At 1920 × 1080, the H.264 output is correctly tagged as Rec.709 (1-1-1) and visually matches the reference. At 1536 × 576, Media Encoder produces an H.264 file tagged as 5-5-5 instead of Rec.709 (1-1-1). The resulting video appears noticeably darker and more saturated. This happens even though the Export Color Space setting explici

Whenever I send a sequence from Premiere to Media Encoder, regardless of In/Out Points, ME defaults to an arbitrary Work Area that may or may not be the entire sequence. For example, I can remove all In/Out Points from a sequence that is :30. When I send to Media Encoder, it says the Work Area starts at :14.11 and ends beyond the limits of the sequence, resulting in an extra minute of black at the end of the video. There is no media in the sequence beyond :30 so why does the Work Area extend beyond it? If I toggle on and off the Work Area bar in Premiere, Media Encoder still ALWAYS defaults to Work Area for the Source Range. You can’t even remove the Work Area In/Out Points in Premiere once they are set. This Work Area issue has been consistent across versions of Premiere + ME 2025/2026.Is there a way to change Media Encoder from defaulting to “Work Area” for exports? Would much prefer it either being “Entire Sequence” or “In/Out Points”. Why is “Work Area” a setting when the “Sequence

QuickTime movie MOV file from iPhone does not import into Premiere Pro or Media Encoder.  However, it works after changing the filename to .mp4

If I export my project straight out of Premiere and skip AME the export is fine. If I export my project to AME the export that AME produces looks to be proxy quality. The file size is slightly smaller indicating to me it is using the proxies on export and not the source files.Export with proxies is unticked.

Is it possible to make media encoder remember presents and save locations? When I export from Premere Pro, it always reverts to a basic setting, and never the custom saved preset.Plus the export won't remember the last locations I want to save to.  I have to keep navigating back through folders. Nomally when I am on a project I only save back to the same folder. This would really speed thing up for me. Thank youJulian

[Bug Report] Critical NVENC Hardware Encoding Failure on HEVC (H.265) in Premiere / Media Encoder (v25.2 – v25.5 & Driver v616.92)Test Environment & System Specifications: CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti RAM: 64GB DDR5 (6000MHz) OS: Windows 10 Pro (Version 22H2 / Build 19045.7725) Issue Summary: The HEVC (H.265) export performance in Media Encoder has degraded severely. Through systematic version testing, I identified that Media Encoder 2025 releases (v25.2, v25.3, v25.4, v25.4.1, and v25.5) completely dropped NVENC Hardware Encoding support for the HEVC (H.265) codec, while legacy 2023 (v23.6.9) and early 2025 builds (v25.0, v25.1) retained functionality under older drivers.Furthermore, updating to NVIDIA Driver v616.92 breaks NVENC hardware acceleration across all versions, leaving users completely without GPU-accelerated HEVC exports. This critical feature regression has remained unaddressed and broken for nearly a full year.Key Observations &a

Hi everyone,I'm facing a ridiculous issue with Adobe Media Encoder where it completely refuses to use GPU Hardware Decoding for Sony footage, even though the new RTX 50-series hardware natively supports it.My Specs: CPU: Intel Core i9-13900K GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Driver: NVIDIA Studio Driver 610.62 (Latest) OS: Windows 11 The Problem: When exporting or creating proxies from Sony A7V source files recorded in XAVC S 4K 50fps (H.264 / AVC, High 4:2:2 Profile, 10-bit), Premiere Pro handles the footage fine, but Media Encoder completely drops GPU Decoding.Inside Media Encoder, Encoding is done via NVIDIA NVENC (GPU), but Decoding defaults entirely to the CPU.What I've tried: Hardware Decoding for H.264/HEVC and NVIDIA is explicitly checked in Preferences -> Media. Renderer is set to Mercury Playback Engine (CUDA). If I drop the XAVC S file directly into Media Encoder (bypassing Dynamic Link), it still ignores NVDEC. If I force-disable software decoding in the Consol
