Effects preview of ADOBE AFTER EFFECTS with ADOBE BRIDGE

I know that it's possible to preview the effects of ADOBE AFTER EFFECTS with ADOBE BRIDGE.

But when I click from Adobe After Effects to preview the effects, I have a window with a warning that tells me to install ADOBE BRIDGE. Yet BRIDGE is already installed and this is the latest version updated.
So I tried many times to uninstall, repair and install the entire ADOBE suite from CREATIVE CLOUD on my mac but still the same warning that BRIDGE is not installed. How it's possible ????
Even more strange, is when I open BRIDGE and I browse the effects (.ffx files) I can not preview them.
The files are fixed and i saw in many tutorials that normally the .ffx should move to preview the effects. Can somebody help me please ? I am with Mojave 10.14.6 and also the latest software versions of the Adobe suite.

If you go into Bridge>Preferences>Startup Scripts is 'Adobe After Effects CC 2019' there and checked?

As for previewing the .ffx files you have to open the Preview Panel in bridge to see these. They don't just play if you view the presets in the gallery view; make sure you have the Preview Panel open and then click a preset to see it play.

I know that there's a bug here, but I'd like to point out that, even if this bug weren't here, the functionality you're trying to utilize isn't very useful.

Many effects in AE require other input (such as the Displacement Map) and others have so many complicated settings that a quick little sample of what it does really doesn't do it justice (like Fractal Noise). So many effects in AE can look so, so, so different that a little thumbnail sample of what it looks like at default really isn't very helpful.

Now, I get that it would be helpful for some things, but I think that it isn't very helpful overall. What would be helpful would be if the documentation got updated to be more interesting and artist-friendly.
