With After Effects closed, try running the uninstaller.
Go to: /Applications/GenArtsSapphireAE folder and double click on “Uninstall Sapphire”.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Remove the files from the Applications folder. Also, go to HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plugins/7.0/MediaCore and remove the plug-in folder.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Nishu

MacOS has two types of libraries: the system library and the user library. According to the screenshot, you're in the user library, but the plug-in folders should be located in the system library. To access the system library, open Finder, click on Go in the menu bar, and select Go to Folder. Then, type in "/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins".
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Nishu

Hi, I have done this but I still get this error. I uninstalled the Sapphire plug in and then deleted the plug in contents and now I can't open after effects at all. If the plug is does not exist, shouldn't I still be able to use the application? It was working before without these plugins present so why is there an error now? How can I fix this please?

Yes, After Effects should run as expected without BorisFX Sapphire being installed.
If you open a project that has Sapphire effects applied, you should simply receive a notice that the effect is misssing.
It seems like the Sapphire uninstaller did not remove all of the Saphire components. If Sapphire support did not reply, I would reinstall After Effects.
