September 2026: “The Horse at the Window”by Celeste GuidiceAbout the ImageThis month I'm sharing one of my favorite barn shots — a curious horse leaning out of a Dutch door window, taking in the world outside. I love the contrast between the weathered gray shingles and his warm bay coat, and that little white blaze running down his face gives him so much personality. There's something about the quiet curiosity in his eye that makes this feel like the perfect end-of-summer image to remix.Have fun with the Remix and be sure to share yours! I'll announce my favorites at the end of the month.I can't wait to see your take on it! 😄 About Me: My name is Celeste Guidice. I've been an Adobe Community Expert since 2016 and founded the Nashua Adobe User Group back in 2012. I'm a commercial photographer and Lightroom coach based in New Hampshire, and I love sharing my images with this community every month. Lightroom v9.5 Is Live! Extend Photos with Generative Expand, Refine Masks with Precision, and Edit More Smoothly The August 2026 update to Adobe Lightroom (version 9.5) introduces AI-powered photo expansion, more precise masking controls, and performance enhancements to help photographers and creators work more efficiently and stay in flow. What’s New:Lightroom (version 9.5) brings more control and flexibility to everyday creative workflows with the introduction of Generative Expand, one of the release's most significant additions. This new Firefly-powered feature lets you extend photos beyond their original borders and intelligently generate content that blends naturally with the existing image, making it easier to recover poorly framed shots, create new aspect ratios for social media and marketing formats, reconstruct missing edges, or fill transparent gaps left behind after perspective corrections. Photographers can choose between Firefly Fill & Expand, which generates multiple
Adobe is excited to receive requests for additional features you need to enhance your workflow. What can you do to increase the chances of being heard? Don't use the words "Feature Request" in your post's title. Search for and add to existing feature requests rather than creating duplicates. There is no advantage to creating a second request for any existing feature request. One request per thread! When creating an Idea or Feature Request thread, please keep requests for features to ONE request per thread. Doing this will allow others to vote on a single, specific feature and not confuse Upvotes amongst a list of feature requests. If an Idea thread has multiple requests in it, a moderator may ask you to split the multiple requests up into multiple threads so others can vote. In the event there remain multiple requests on a thread, the first item requested will be the arbiter of where the thread will be cross-referenced or merged. Describe how the feature will help your workflow. Des
I have a DNG from a scanner that fails to allow editing in Lightroom web. Other DNGs from the same scanning session work fine.I have edited previously the picture both in Lightroom app (Android tablet) and web (Chrome 150.0.7871.128 (Build oficial) (64 bits)). No problem switching from one version to another until now.I know that the edits are updated because if I edit in my tablet (I can still use it) I see the edits in web. But if I try to open cropping tool (or any other), the spinner keeps spinning but never opens the file. I’ve checked it in Chrome and Firefox with same result. In console I see: VM15 assets:2 ERROR: The JSX attribute "showUpgrade" was passed to a component declaring a property of the same name. In Lightroom once you apply AI denoise to an image, the program becomes nearly unresponsive so editing is impossible. For that reason I always have to apply AI denoise last, and I do it in a batch. However, if I should want to go back and edit my images further, I now have to remove AI denoise from each one individually in order to edit them without Lightroom hanging constantly and taking ~20 seconds to apply any changes I make. Please make it possible to remove AI denoise from multiple images at once so that they can be edited. At the moment if I try and copy the Detail category from an image with no AI denoise applied and then paste to other images, it does not remove denoise.
no option to add photos images..
I want to edit in Topaz, so I click on Edit In and select Topaz. Topaz begins to load, but stalls after about an eighth of an inch of progress.
I am a teacher and when I launch or when my students try to launch lightroom it immediately starts closing. We are using verison 9.5.1. It doesn’t happen on Lightroom classic. it is a school account and happens on my log in and with theirs as well. The macbooks are Airs and mine is a Pro, all M1 running Tahoe 26.2. I have tried so many things to fix this. Uninstall, reinstall lightroom, uninstall reinstall creative cloud, update all software on mac, etc. On my pro I have tried opening with rosetta, nothing. I got it to work one time when I made a new user on my laptop and opened it and edited but now it is closing on that new user too.
This post applies to the Project Indigo iOS camera app. Adobe Labs is excited to share an early look at Project Indigo, an iPhone camera app we've started to develop, to get feedback from the photography community. The app offers full manual controls, a more natural ("SLR-like") look, and high image quality in both JPEG and raw formats. It also introduces some new photographic experiences not available in other camera apps. For more information on the underlying technology, please refer to this Project Indigo blog post. Before you start with Project Indigo We recommend using Project Indigo on iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max or newer devices.(Also supported are 12 Pro/Pro Max, 13 Pro/Pro Max, and all 14-series devices.) You should have at least 1GB of storage space left for the app, the downloadable AI Models inside the app, and for captured photos. Download the app from the App Store. Check out the Project Indigo FAQ, which is updated reg
I have an issue where I am no longer able to take a photo from cloud based Lightroom and edit it directly in Photoshop. I get the error that says, "Lightroom is not allowed to control Photoshop. Make sure this is allowed in the system preferences > security and privacy > automation “. I’ve tried granting the automation in my security settings and have also granted full disk access to both Lightroom and Photoshop. No luck. However, this action works perfectly in Lightroom Classic way it used to in my cloud based version of Lightroom. I uninstalled and reinstalled both Lightroom and Photoshop multiple times and have not resolved this. Any ideas on how I can correct this issue?
A question was raised on a Japanese forum stating that Exif data is not included when exporting from the iPhone version of Lightroom.I have reproduced this issue using the same environment. Title: GPS metadata is lost when exporting multiple photos to Apple Photos on iOSProduct: Adobe Lightroom Mobile for iOSDevice: iPhone 15iOS version: iOS 26.6.1Lightroom version: latest available version as of September 2026Problem descriptionWhen exporting multiple photos from Lightroom Mobile to Apple Photos using Save Copy to Device, GPS/location metadata is not included in the exported JPEG files, even though:the original RAW files contain valid GPS/location data, the location is correctly displayed inside Lightroom, “Include Metadata” is enabled, “Location Info” is enabled in the export settings. The issue occurs specifically with batch/multiple-photo export. When I export the same photos individually using Save Copy to Device, the GPS coordinates are correctly retained and appear in Apple Photos.Steps to reproduceOpen Lightroom Mobile on iPhone. Severe lag, CPU spikes, and sustained heavy disk writes while editing (Lightroom 9.5.1, macOS, Apple Silicon)App version: Adobe Lightroom (cloud) 9.5.1OS: macOS 26.6.2 (Build 25G83)Hardware: MacBook Pro, Mac15,6, 18 GB RAM, Apple SiliconSymptoms:After just a few minutes of ordinary RAW editing (Leica DNG files), Lightroom becomes severely laggy. Sliders stop responding smoothly, preset previews don't render, and the system heats up with fans at full speed. This isn't tied to any heavy feature like Denoise or masking, it happens on basic actions.Measured evidence:- Lightroom's own CPU usage has been observed as high as 341% and 574% (Activity Monitor), with GPU usage spiking to 40%+ during simple actions like dragging one slider or switching to a new photo.- macOS generated an automatic disk-writes resource-violation report during one editing session: Lightroom dirtied 2,147.67 MB of file-backed memory over 2,123 seconds, an average of 1,011.51 KB/sec, against the system's expected limi

I am using the Adobe integration within ChatGPT with my Adobe Lightroom cloud catalogue.ChatGPT can successfully search my Lightroom catalogue and Adobe returns the expected assets, including filenames, asset IDs, file types, dates, orientation information and Adobe rendition URLs.The Adobe search-result interface can also display thumbnails of the Lightroom images to me.However, when ChatGPT attempts to obtain a model-readable preview of any Lightroom asset through the Adobe integration, the preview-resolution step fails.Adobe returns: previewUrl: null renditionUrl: null downloadUrl: null As a result, ChatGPT can search and identify photographs in my Lightroom catalogue but cannot actually inspect or analyse the image pixels.File formats testedThis has been reproduced with both: Fujifilm .RAF RAW files Standard .JPG / image/jpeg files Therefore, this does not appear to be related specifically to Fujifilm RAW support. For example, Lightroom successfully returned JPEG assets includ

Key word search in relevance order gives the most relevant hits last. How to reproduce:1) Search for any known key word added in Light Room Classic.2) Choose search order "Relevance". Expected result: The most relevant search hits (images with the specified key word) should be first.Actual result: The least relevant search hits come first (even totally irrelevant images). There is no option to reverse the order.
After first launching Lightroom, we can enter Crop mode by pressing "C" key. Then we can do our cropping, then confirm it (as we confirm everything on a computer) by pressing Enter. But after using LIghtroom for a while (sorry that's fuzzy), Enter stops working to confirm the crop. We can stil confirm the crop by pressing the "C" key again, but for some reason Enter stops working until Lightroom is quit and restarted. The amount of time LR has to run before Enter stops working for crop confirmation is not known - sometimes it's day, other times (like this evening) it seems to stop working minutes after launch. Something must be triggering the failure but I don't know what. I know this sounds minor, but Enter is so ingrained as the "do it now" key since the beginning of computing that this one always throws me. This bug has existed for the five years I've been using LR, and has persisted across all of the updates in that time. Just getting around to repo
In the Presets panel, under Recommended, I do not see the preset categories (Warm, Dark, Bright, Cinematic, HDR, etc.) that appear in Adobe's documentation and other users' screenshots. The app is fully updated, I've already compared it with Lightroom on my phone, and the feature is missing only on my iPad. I'd like to know if this is a bug, a staged rollout, or an account-specific issue.
Under “Distraction Removal,” the desktop version of Lightroom has automatic detection of dust spots (and other things, but that’s not why I’m writing in):This is an extremely useful time-saving feature.Unfortunately I do most of my editing on the go on an iPad Pro and these edits don’t transfer over to your photos when you view them on the iPad version of Lightroom. You’re invited to “update AI edits,” where the app tells you essentially that there’s a version mismatch between the canonical photo (w/ dust removed) and the one your iPad can load (because it doesn’t support dust removal), and tells you your only choice is to take away the dust removal:This is really bad for users and not how cloud software should work. My iPad has an M4 in it; it’s more powerful in performance terms than my desktop computer. At a minimum you should allow read-only loading of dust removal on the iPad. Please implement this on the iPad!
I’ve trouble shot so many things to try to fix it, but after this latest update, it’s not allowing me to import new photos
Since last couple of months whenever I try to edit the photos on my phone (Lightroom) It's very squareish and pixelated. All the photos are fine but when I try to edit it goes In o this(screenshot attached)I'm not sure what's the issue. Looking forward to the help.
como hacer copia de seguridad del catálogo?
When I use the X to flag images for deletions, it doesn’t always work and I have to close and restart the app to get it to work. This is on a Mac Studio with the latest software update both with the Mac and Lightroom. Additionally I crashes every 4-5 times, sometimes repeatedly and I have to close the app and generally reboot the computer.
