Go to the menu InDesign > Preferences > Right-to-Left, then from cursor movement drop menu choose "Visual" Although Logical behaviour may not appear to act logically to you at first, however if you work on an English/Arabic publication where you need combine RTL and LTR together in same line, you'll find cursor movement as logical in a sense that each time you press right arrow on the keyboard the cursor will always move to next character regardless whether the text is Arabic or English. While if you select Visual in the Preferences settings and work on a multilingual publication, cursor will behave as expected for Arabic text but Illogical within an English word and sentence. Apparently the font was developed to work with MS. Office. If you've purchased this license, contact the developer and ask them to support you by making the font work with Adobe applications. On the other hand the font may be corrupted in the first place and MS Word is substituting the font for you and displaying characters from a system font. Test this font on another computer to verify whether the font is healthy. Hi Iwona, Getting an old Adobe Illustrator ME (Middle Eastern version) is not possible any more, you may subscribe to Adobe CC though to get access to full ME capabilities. Another thought, is to stay on your CS5, and use a utility enables you to type Arabic in that utility, copy text and paste it in Illustrator, having said that, you will not have good right-to-left controls as you would in the Middle Eastern version.
