I copied a word doc into InDesign. Looks perfect, last thing I need to do is to insert a grey horizontal line inbetween certain paragraphs. Those did not come over when I placed the word file in the new document. Since this is the first time I have to do this I know I can just use the - key next to the 0 on the keyboard but the orignal line in Word was gray and has an inner style to it, see the screenshot. Need to know how to create that correctly. I know I have to do in paragraph rules and I would think I need to name that rule ? Anyone?

I have an InDesign file that has a few animated gifs in it. Most all except for three are trigged on Page load. But I need a few animations to be triggered by the user either a touch screen or a button. I can't seem to find how to do this. I can only do with an imported Anyone? R

I have a subscription to CC. As of the last update to cc 2019 I have been noticing that every time I open a .pdf Acrobat opens it and then it asks me to accept the license agreement. If I look in my CC account I see that Acrobat is NOT a part of creative cloud ( unless I'm wrong?) but I only see Acrobat DC. What do I do here? anyone? R

I'm on a Mac 10.13.6 everytime a go to save a file as a .jpg .png .pdf I get the dialogue box as usual select the usual and save. When I go to the folder ( downloads in this case ) or anywhere else on my machine I do NOT see the saved file if I go to open it WITHIN Photoshop right after I save it. BUT if I go and select the downloads folder OUTSIDE of Photoshop I see the saved file inside. Any help? R

I have a word .docx which I converted to a .doc, the original word is 8.5 x 11 but the client wants the .indd 5.5 x 8.5 Created the new .indd and placed the word doc in. First thing I notice that the images inbetween the text do NOT come over in the .indd reason? Second problem is the tabs as I need the Headings to start on there own page but they come over ( see image 1 below) they are sometimes too far down or on the previous page. Problem is , when I hit delete the headings go back to the page before as I cannot get then to sit correctly on the top of a new page. ( see second image) I tried adjusting the Leading on that style but I still can't get it right. Any help?

This situation is still NOT resolved. This is what I did so far: REMOVED /the site from the Manage Sites area Re did the site in the area re did the cache and I get an error "AN FTP error occured" If I go to Manage sites and click servers the information is blank , If I re enter the information ONLY then am I able to connect. if I remain in DW and click in and out of manage sites the info is STILL THERE but if I close out DW and open the site and go to manage sites the user and password is blank ???????? I'm in 18.2 Mac

This is become a huge problem for me as I cannot access client's sites using DW 18.2 also tried with an old DW 6 and still cannot. It seems that DW does not save the passwords. I cannot keep doing this, can someone give me an update on this situation PLEASE?

I just changed the action from on release to tap and the buttons do not work you say the MSO is fine, if you open the .indd in the link and export to publish online the buttons do not work. I have no clue why the doc is set to web can you confirm? this should not be happening I would greatly appreciate as I'm in a bind here link to dropbox is below Dropbox - Chapter5Tap Folder.zip

Ah so now we are getting somewhere. If you look at the .indd file I put up Chapter5 Rollovers you will see the problem, I just now changed the behaviors to tap and I have the same problem. In the object States panel I have One object and 11 states first state is blank and the rest have the images I want to display but like rollovers I place the mouse and it works then go over then again and they don't. Can some one look at the way i have the state set up could that be my problem? For this project I need the page to open and where the images go should be blank until user taps any button.

OK to make it easier I redid the ,indd file it's a one page spread left side is are buttons ( no actions ) right side are the layers that need to be viewed when each button is rolled over. In the layer file the first 10 layers are object states but BOTH states have the same elements. I tried to go to the state 1 of each and delete the elements as when the page opens the right side of the page should be blank and the object states only appear when each button is rolled over. I'm having such a hard time doing this as when I tired I can get two to work and the rest do not. Any help here please? I'm in real bind Dropbox - newChapter5 Folder.zip

I have a page with 10 buttons on I have another page with layers so the object here is for me to rollover each button and display a different layer. I got that part but how do I make the area where the rollover text is supposed to appear invisible as the text should only appear when the button is rooled over but a button needs two states. So I took state 1 and deleted all the text so it only shows on state two and it worked but when I get to the second and third buttons nothing works ( the text for each button is in two layers should I be grouping that text? Anyone as I can send the file its small only two pages R

OK I was able to create what I need to do. have 4 buttons ( invisible) on top of two object states these work as when you rolloff the state goes back to original. I cannot find a tutorial on this as I onLy see buttons but not a button with object states. Simply I have 4 green squares I need to make each square a button so when user clicks inside green square the next state appears. Sorry I did not get back to you yesterday got real busy, the indd was created from PLACED text from a word document so whatever blanks were in the word doc they were converted to indd text. All I need to do is to remove the blank pages while retaining the text on all other pages, the original placed text was for a printed book, this now is for an epub and I need all blanks removed. I hope that is the info you need to help me . thx M

Really doesn't matter what I export the file to, I just need to be able to remove pages that were left blank in the version made for print keeping the same layout but without the blanks in between. ?? M
