I have a backup computer running InDesign 19.5 and I've installed Sequoia 15.0. With a test InDesign file, I had no problem exporting a PDF. Can you provide more information about the file. Does this happen with every file which you test?

You don't SAVE PDF files to InDesign. It sounds like you want to do File > Place to place it in an open InDesign file.

Are you talking about straight lines, or curved lines? If using the Pen tool to create curves, drag the tool to create curves. Then deselect the curve by switching to the Direct Selection (white arrow) tool and click to deselect. The path will NOT close.

Tell me more about your system: Please tell us what operating system (exactly) you're running. Please tell us (exactly) what InDesign version you're using. You said you placed a .psd "from the creative cloud". Exactly what do you mean by that? Are you using InDesign cloud documents, which were in beta test for some time, but now officially is supported in InDesign release version 19.4? Or were you using the file stored in a folder on your computer called Creative Cloud Files. This method sharing files was discontinued earlier this year: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/eol-creative-cloud-synced-files.html If it was the latter, you need to use the Cloud Documents method which is described here: https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/using/cloud-documents.html

Does it happen with just one file, or does it happen with all files you experiment with? If just one file, there could be some corruption. Save the InDesign file as IDML: File > Save As InDesign CS4 or Later [IDML]. And reopen the file. If it happens with every file, I'd try restoring your InDesign preferences and caches. There is a distinction between problems which you experience when using a particular OS, and problems which are caused by the OS. The great majority of Sonoma 14.5.x users are not having problems at all, including me. Computer problems can be caused by many other issues, regardless of OS.

It's working for me. Make sure when you hit the plus sign, to add it to the library, you choose it to be Text: Then if you drag the Text item from the library to another file, it should appear with the same appearance in a second document: Tell us more about your system: Please tell us what operating system (exactly) you're running. The four fields in the Text Wrap panel let you set different margins for the four sides. You need to unclick the Lock so you can set them individually.

That's the way it works: The default settings, created with no documents, open ALL FUTURE CREATED FILES. It cannot change files which you've already created. Those you have to change manually.

Thanks, Barb. I think you're right, you can't choose a weight for a specific tool, you're setting the default line weight for however it may be applied. That would also set the default line weight for an ellipse:

If your pages look like the first illustration below, the second section of pages may have a Start Section icon turned on (circled in red):: Double-click the down-poining arrow icon to open the Numbering and Sections dialog (shown below) UNCHECK the check mark at Start Section, and it should be corrected:

I no longer use InDesign CS6 [positively ancient] but the Export PDF dialog box has not changed since then. Open up the Export Adobe PDF dialog box > Output and it should look like this: RGB should stay in RGB, CMYK in CMYK.
