Hello! I once in a while use the camera feature of lightroom iOS to do a little RAW photoshoot with my iphone camera. I often exit the camera and go to the gallery to look at the pictures I just took; but if I then go back to the camera, the focus slider is reset to auto - And while the exposure and iso sliders show the same values as before, it's quite common that the exposure has secretly changed to another value. This makes it really akward to do a photoshoot and frequently have a look at the pictures, as the camera controls reset every time... It would be super nice if ALL the previous camera settings would be restored each time the camera is opened! There could also be a setting to restore the deafault settings by deafault 🙂

"I would actually prefer Adobe deleted this functionality altogether" - pausing Sync, and leaving it paused, seems to be equivalent: if you do not want any local interchanges with cloud going on, you can prevent those and just ignore any Sync status warnings. Remove the Sync arrow against any Collections. One consequence is finding some other way to get new images captured by cloud connected devices (such as cellphones) to become local files, so that they can be imported. If one's new images are all arriving from local card reader (or tethering) anyway that won't be a consideration.

Wow, all this time I've been selecting the adjustment layers + the base layer then pressing Cmd+E. I never thought to just select the base layer to have them all merge. Thanks!

TBMK There is no setting in ACR that hides that lower tool bar.
My work-around that works in Windows-11, is to-
Drag the ACR total interface down the screen until the lower portion is off-screen, then drag only the top margin of the interface upwards to maximize on screen. ie. effectivley enlarging the ACR UI.

I'm struggling to figure out why sync in LR Classic is so unreliable, unpredictable and generally sucky. And what if anything I can do to make it work better. I shoot DNG on my phone and I have LR Mobile import evyerthing I shoot into LR Mobile there. I now realize the only way to have that import work is to open LR on the phone after I shoot because LR won't auto import in the background (why not?). After the images are in LR on my phone I then see them on my iPad. Great. I can also see them using my desktop browser on the LR online website so I know they are uploaded. But seeing them in LR Classic can vary in how long they take to show there. Sometimes "relatively" quickly, but most of the time hours and sometimes days. For instance I shot multiple photos two days ago which appear everywhere except for Classic. And the sync icon is green with a checkmark. I can sometimes get Classic to start importing by quitting and restarting the app. But other than that I have no idea what to try at this point. I still wish there was some sort of "Force Sync" option that would bypass or acclerate whatever the current "whenever" uses. And also maybe give the option to not upload metadata changes to currently uploaded files. I see this happenning a lot for files which have been long ago uploaded and I really have no idea what has changed or do I care. And If I choose to upload that info I can do it at a down time and not have it bog down current file activity. I like the sync workflow when it works, but a lot of the time it's really wonky.

I use a lot of very fine brushes and even with the palette set to its largest size, I can't see the nuance of what brush I'm trying to select. I wish there could be an option to display a separate window with a much larger view of a selected brush. I know it's not AI, but it would be helpful!

OK, Stopping Sync and restarting brought back the Sync icon for Collections. Although new Collection Sets are not syncing. (Also, why are sets called Albums on a mobile device?) Anyway, new Sets are not syncing, but their contents are. And now if I create a new "album" on a mobile deive, it does not appear in Classic as a Set. I've used LR for syncing for a while now, and I find in general the whole process is kind of janky. Sometimes it works as it should, and sometimes I have to quit this or that or make open things in a certian sequence to get syncing to actually take place. Which now doesn't seem to be happening. Sync is a great feature, wish it worked smoothly and predictably.

I only use the LR Camera to shoot B+W images. To Adobe's credit, it's the only app I've found which allows for composition showing the viewfinder in B+W. And if it's shot as DNG, it's imported into Classic in B+W mode but still has the color info in case I want to revert. Pretty cool. Pro Camera has mentioned adding adding this B+W capability, but it's been a while since they said that.

This is still incredibly frustrating. Every time I choose to go to a mask, the visibility is turned on. so every time I use the shortcut I have to do it twice: once to get the mask, once to turn it off. I'd love to know why in their infinite wisdom, Adobe changed the command/ shorcut on the palette to always initially show the mask. If it isn't broken, fix it I guess. Sounds like Apple.

I use windows so I do not know how a Mac user associates a file type like .SVG and .AI to an application. If you know how to make sure file type SVG and AI are associated with Adobe Illustrator.

I have a SO that uses a Camera Raw Filter (Smart Filter). If I do any sort of Transform or even a Canvas sizing, the filter does not stay in sync with the image. I notice this because with the fiter I'm doing major exposure adjustments to parts of the image. So if I rotate the SO layer, the filter is not rotating. Sort of acting like it's not linked to the SO layer. I don't remmeber ever running into this before using SOs and filters. Is there something I'm missing or not doing correctly? Using 21.2.1
