Also, hide or delete unused layers, swatches, images and objects to minimize the amount of data Illustrator needs to handle.  Adobe Reader: First, try simplifying the print output by selecting "Print as Image" in the advanced print settings. This will rasterize the .ai file, making it less complex for Reader to process. Second, consider reducing the print quality, which will decrease the file size and potentially speed up printing. Click Start, point to Settings, and then Bluetooth & Devices-> click Printers & Scanners. 2. Click the appropriate printer, and then click Printing Preferences. 3.
