Can't reply to posts on Bugs and Ideas section

LEGEND ,
Apr 12, 2022 Apr 12, 2022

For the past four hours or so, I can't reply to many threads in the Lightroom Classic Bugs forum.  When I click Reply, the browser scrolls to the second post in the thread or the green-boxed correct answer if there is one, but no reply box appears.  With two threads, I waited for about an hour and then was able to reply, but I can again no longer reply on those threads.

I've tried Chrome, Firefox, and Safari (Mac); logged out and in; deleted all "adobe" cookies and site data.

@Bob Somrak is experiencing similar symptoms with this thread:

@David.Wang it's not working right for me, takes about 4 or 5 clicks on the reply button to actaully be able to reply

Thanks for reporting this @Ged_Traynor -- could you list out your steps exactly so we can try and reproduce it on our end?

@Ged_Traynor -- Browser/ OS/ Device would be helpful as well.

@David.Wang

OS is Windows 10 Pro, latest updates installed

Browser is Firefox, most recent version, I also use "I Don't Care About Cookies" addon for FF

Device is Desktop PC.

Just clicking on the reply button does nothing for the first few clicks, well 4 or 5

I've done a short video, but can't seem to upload a video to the Bugs section, this option is missing

If I white list community.adobe.com in the addon it works fine, but then I have to accept cookies each time I open the forum, which kind of defeats the purpose of the addon 😃

@David.Wang I invited a user who couldn't post a reply in her own thread, and can happily report that it worked for her. So some cases are fixed.

Isn't that rather automoderation? If I'm not mistaken, the common pattern of this very thread, that I used to experience long time ago, was users can't get a reply window. What is the user posting? System configuration? This often gets flagged.

That user posted the output from Lightroom Classic's Help > System Info, very common information to be posted in that forum.

Yes, so that is not related to the issue at hand where users can't get the reply field, it is the auto moderator incorrectly flagging system info

Did they run into this error before the post was moved from bugs to discussions?

"Did they run into this error before the post was moved from bugs to discussions?"

I'm pretty sure they posted after it was moved to Discussions, but I'm not positive.

Unthreaded replies can be annoying.

Are you using a browser that supports scripts and VPN is disabled?

Did you try scrolling up/down in the discussion until the Reply box comes into view?

For me, it's not that I can't reply but the reply box loses focus.
