I don't think I've ever come across a forum that 'bumps' you out while you are posting. It must be javascript that does it because I don't think XHTML is capable of doing that.Amazing,Ken
When will this get fixed?
I am still trying to get accustomed to the new place. I noticed that when in a thread, the scrolling is jumpy to say the least.I don't know if there are still people working on such issues, but it makes reading very difficult, especially since I have not found a way to jump to the last message read. I am wondering if the issue is not due to the Avatars, but even when they finally show up, it is still jumpy.
HI,Can any one tell me that how to enable Documents Right for Adobe Reader 9.0Thanks
(Mods bored yet?)Seriously, it's been 5 hours since the last threads were moved, and they're still visible here. That's not a "short" delay (as claimed by our mod) due to a caching issue (*cough*BUG), that's a ridiculously broken feature. When you click on the stupid thread to reply you end up in the other forum, magically (although you never switched forums). This breaks the most fundamental rule of "DON'T BE STUPID" in user interface design.Just redirect the OP to the correct forum, and let the thread die a natural death however nature and this forum decide it should go. Is that just too easy of a solution? Given the fact that the thead move feature is BROKEN and barely works, surely that is a reason to at least try out a different style of moderation to see how it works out. If it makes this forum into a useless waste of virtual space (lol..), the option of reinstating martial law is still available...
I just love the way we're all diddling around in here hoping against hope that things will improve. Posting messages, complaining, hoping... It's quite clear. Adobe doesn't give a rat's rear end. Any marginal improvements are purely a result of usage and becoming used to the present depressing, dismal and defunct scenario. No major changes have happened or are likely to happen. The forums are vitiated. The newbies and casual visitors don't care or know the difference. In other words the joke is really on us... the old timers... the ones who have a yardstick, albeit fastly evaporating, of what once was...Well,Cheers...JJ
In your stuff/profile/actions/added forum profile, I checked Hide e-mail. However, at the end of my own post, in the same box, this appears:on fri, 5/22/09 joe smith <forums@adobe.com> wrot From: Joe Smith <forums@adobe.com> Subject: Photoshop Macintosh hue/saturation adjust to "marie anne collins" <marie_anne@Yahoo.com> Received: Friday may 22 2009Than the previous thread is repeated:" Are you talking about the hue/saturation adjustment"
I don't see what the need for locking this thread is:http://forums.adobe.com/thread/483480?tstart=0The OP is aware that he has posted in the wrong forum. He is not posting further. But by locking the thread the overeager moderator is denying the OP help. There may just be someone who could guide him to, if not the correct, at least a helpful forum. Moreover, there is no abuse peing posted nor has the thread degenerated into a joke... so why this heavy-handed locking?

Hello. Ok, I'm desperate here...I still have only 6.0 and I'm trying to do color replacement. I've googled, You-tubed, used a book (remember those?!), but I can't for the life of me get a color replaced. Scenario: I'm putting friend's faces on Shrek and Fiona's bodies and I need to change their human skin tones to match the Ogres'. Please help!!! My book tells you how to do it, but it ain't workin'! Tell me it's not impossible. Thanks in advance,Todd
Can't you guys fix this crap. or is this going to take a year or more because Adobe is cheap and won't pay for the upgrade? Why can't we just stay logged in all the time.

This thread has gone all funny.
Suddenly I am unable to open and preview pdf documents I've attached to email before sending. I am able to open these documents before I attach them, I am able to go to the sent mail box and open them after I have sent the email. I am using Adobe Reader 9.1, running Windows Vista, using Outlook 2007 for email. I tried switching to Windows mail but had the same problem. I was able to open & preview these documents up to about a month ago, then things changed. Does anybody know if there has been an update recently that might have caused this? Any idea how to fix?
Here's one for somebody to sort out: Gmail has started regarding email notifications from the forums as suspect. A header from a recent message:Authentication-Results: mx.google.com; spf=hardfail (google.com: domain of forums@adobe.com does not designate 209.46.39.252 as permitted sender)209.46.39.252 is mail.sgaur.hosted.jivesoftware.com, the server sending the messages. The SPF result used to be 'neutral'. I wonder how many notifications end up in posters' gmail spam filters because of that 'hardfail'. It can't be too difficult for Adobe to publish an appropriate record.Noel
I have just found out that threads in this forum are archived after a month. This is really serious. We were told that the time limits of the fair forums would not apply to the new forums.John or whoever else can reopen the old threads, please do so. Some of them deserve to be revived as new knowledge appears. I was going to repost in a few of them. Too many valuable observations and suggestions will be lost.I wonder which hidden conditions apply to the other forums.
Just wanted to add my pi$$ to the wind..... I've never met a Jive forum that I like, and the Adobe implementation seems the worst. Hard to tell just what is the fault of Jive or of Windows Vista, which was recently imposed on me, but I'm most irritated at the unstable cursor control in the text input areas. It's getting really annoying.
This is the 1st one that is screwed up, look and the Last Post times. Seems to me like this forum also had some posts that were within the last week as well. Also I cannot get the 'mark all as read' to work on this one:2nd one in the Design Forums, check out the last post times again:
I change the layout of the Forum FAQ a bit. Since the FAQ is read-only for non-moderators I moved the actions down, I don't see the point in a Top participants widget since it is all managed by JC anyway, so I was able to give the discussions the full width allowed by the template:http://forums.adobe.com/community/general/forum_comments/faqHow do you like it? Is this something to try for the Forum comments forum as well?
Yup from the "Joke..." thread. These forums are rapidly going from the sublime to the ridiculous... specially with all these little, tin-pot Hitler's abounding.
Bumping up dropping threads used to be a common practice in these forums. It would seem that it is now no longer permitted:http://forums.adobe.com/thread/478660;jsessionid=BC814E41881DE7C0D331BB3F57014152.node0?tstart=0(and the polite "Please" doesn't help me in adding anything new).
please allow the forum to resize in width.
I explained here458.why I was abandoning my long fight in defense of the forums in Spanish, now reduced to a single thread housing all Adobe products, including the ex Macromedia ones. I have now realized that I posted my message in a thread that nobody reads, and ao I wanted to at least bring the topic to the top of the list. However, as a result of the recent tests, the thread is now archived as so many, many others, and it cannot be bumped. So I am doing instead what was suggested as a solution to such problems: I am opening a new thread.
