Acrobat Reader

Dear support, I refer to this thread, that garbled text was observed in windows 10 due to AcrobatArial font rendering issue on the browsers(Edge and Chrome) of - Microsoft Community Can Adobe provide more infromation on this issue such as which version of Adobe software is involved and if any step/file can be provided to reproduce the problem ? Thank you very much.

I suddenly have a problem where Adobe Reader will not print. It has printed fine for years (various MACs and OSs), but with no change to the current system, it now fails with an error message (and the printer spits out a blank page). I ran through Adobe's troubleshooting list - no solution. I verified print capability on an identical MAC on the same system and printer - worked fine. I reinstalled Adobe Reader - Nope. I went ahead and upgraded to the current MAC OS - Nope. I re-reinstalled Adobe Reader - NopeAll along and still, my computer will print fine via other apps.I also connected a different printer to my computer, still fails to print from Reader. Adobe Reader v2024.001.20615 (up to date)MACMini M1 16GB Sonoma 14.4 (up to date)Epson ET-4760 (driver up to date) printer is shared on NetworkCanon (direct USB connection) also failedAdobe Reader is useless to me unless I can print my PDFs.

I just do not like the current version of the Adobe Reader and have been using the last update to the previous reader version 23.008.2055 on both of my windows 64 bit devices, a laptop and a desktop.  Somehow, the program was deleted from my desktop and I am trying to figure out how to either redownload it or copy it from my laptop and then reinstall it from the thumbdrive that I copied it to.  I would sure appreciate any assistance please.

Hello all,We use fillable PDF forms in our organization and we are running into a problem.From Adobe Reader ONLY, when a user selects an item on a dropdown list and then clicks into another field, the dropdown select reverts to default value. There is no scripting or anything special about this dropdown, it's just basic text selection.There is also nothing conditional or special coding with any other field on the form. Very basic stuff. It's worth noting that this problem doesn't happen every time and doesn't happen with every user of Adobe Reader. I tried changing the dropdowns to have the option Commit Selected Value Immediately checked and that didn't make a difference.Any thoughts on how to work around this problem or resolve it? I might just change the drop down to check boxes if I have to but I don't want to do that if not necessary.Thanks,Karli

Currently I have Adobe Acrobat Reader Continuous Release Version 2023.008.20555, 64-bit.Starting last February my updates failed with Error 130200. This is not only one computer, but all computers that I take care of.Last February I downloaded the update and ran it manually. That worked.Now I see that there is a new update available when I check for updates. When I click Download and Install I immediately get this message:This is happening on both Windows 10 and Windows 11.

La bar reste blanche. Hi everybody, I have a weird problem, for some PDFs (not all), the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader 64-bit on Windows does not remember the last view settings but always opens the first page, but for some PDFs it does remember.Just as a note I am using Adobe Reader also on Mac and Android where it works consistently and all PDF's last view settings are being remembered correctly.  Is this some settings that is PDF dependend?

J'ai cru comprendre que cet outil est accessible dans la version gratuite adobe reader, mais est-ce exact ? J'ai cherché des tutaux, mais à chaque fois je vois qu'il faut activer "lecture audio" dans affichage ou similaire, mais j'ai beau chercher, je ne trouve pas (déjà affichage) dans mon adobe reader pc et iphone. Si vous pouvez m'aider je vous remercie, car j'ai des soucis pour voir correctement. Stéphane

when opening any pdf file i got the error message "adobe_licensing_wf_acro.exe" and the app shuts down.Any help on this issue ? Thks

Good afternoon;I upgraded my Adobe Reader install and now I cannot highlight text when using "Fill & Sign".  I used to be able to add text to a Fill & Sign box and highlight that text.   Many thanks for any assistance 

Bonjour,  Avec la version 2023.001.20064 d'acrobat reader (installé par l'entreprise dans laquelle je travail), les liens hypertexte (d'un dossier partagé reseau) s'ouvrent dans l'explorateur internet au lieu de s'ouvrir dans l'explorateur windows. Ceci n'est pas pratique. Avec d'autres version d'acrobat reader il n'y a pas de soucis. Savez-vous comment je peux résoudre cette particularité? Il y a t'il des paramètres à modifier, ou ce phénomème est associé à cette version d'acrobat reader? Merci pour votre retour. Bonne journée. Cordialement. 

Comment puis-je arrêter l'ouverture de la fenêtre "Bienvenue dans Acrobat Reader DC" qui s'affiche à chaque fois que j'ouvre un document PDF ?   Merci d'avance.

Hi,We have just had Acrobat Reader update, it looks like it got a new interface, however it keeps crashing, it will stay open for a couple of seconds and then close, no error reported to the user. However we do see the crash events in the event log.   We had no issues on the previosu version and this has now become a real issue for us.The adobe Version is Adobe Acrobat Reader 24.001.20604 I've tried to re-install but get the same result. Is there an easy way to roll back? Thanks Kevin

Hello,It seems as though after a recent update of Acrobat reader,Acrobat reader. automatically opens the PDF files that I have download from the internet . I want the downloading process and the opening process to remain separate.(Acrobat reader should only open the files when I open then on my computer) How do I stop files that I download from automatically opening when they are downloaded? Thank you 

Configuration:Adobe Acrobat is the default (only) PDF viewer.System: Windows 7; current updates (Including: Edge)V: 21.11.20039.0 [?] Bug:When explorer highlights a pdf document (and the preview of the doc is displayed) and/or when a document is opened: Adobe Acrobat changes the white (background color) to blue (pale). It is unclear when this single color change (white as background to blue)  – action started or what instigated it; to my knowledge I’ve not enabled any such feature on a system / program level.  There is no highlights, no checkboxes and this occurs with every PDF both ‘old’ and ‘new’ (new created). This ‘blue’ hue makes reading (viewing) documents with shading difficult. Worse; if there is blue on blue – it is all but impossible to view. Where did this come from; and more important: how to get rid of it?  I treat this as a ‘bug’ as it is a undesired ‘feature’ with unexpected results; specifically: Why should a white document appear blue

Hii all !I'm writting this in hope that someone could explain to me why the adobe reader installer is flagged by virus total. I downloaded it from official site. I'm thinking that these are false positive but I'm hoping for some explanation.Here is the link of virus total scan.Thanks. 

The user is unable to open/access a PDF file.  The file is getting saved while in online mode. The error is happening with few documents only in the adobe acrobat reader. Here is a snapshot of what message the user gets.    

Need to uninstall the current version that it was updated to and go back to 23.008.20555, adobe does not give an option to roll back updates and i needs to be able to go back to the previous version, because one of our application does not like working with the new version of adobe reader

Une erreur est survenue à la lecture de ce document (135)Acrobat Reader est à jour sur tous les PCs.Nous sommes obligés de lancer une "imprimesion"  au format PDF en l'enregistrant, d'ouvrir ensuite ce fichier, afin de pouvoir le modifier puis l'enregistrer.Avez-vous une idée ?D'avance, je vous remercie de vos réponses.

I have changed my PC applying Lablink PCmover Professional v11. All worked out fine besides that Acrobat Reader was not functioning. So I deinstalled the Reader, applied the cleaning tool for 64bit and 32bit, rebootet and installed the newest Reader again. The Reader does not open when klicking on a pdf. Just silience. I went to the programm files and tried to open the acrobat.exe file but it does not open! I says the interesting message here ...It does not find the file!?!  

Hello,I have the lifetime version of the Adobe Reader Pro 2015. Now I changed my laptop to one of the new M1-Mac models. I downloaded the installer from my adobe-profile. Bute there seems to bee an issue with the installation.The installer always crashes in the second step of the installation. My question now is, wehether the version is simply no longer supported by M1 Macs, or whether there is a solution to this problem.The other question is, wehther this will happen as well with the newer 2020-version? Thank you   

I have a Brother printer (MFC-J475DW) and am able to scan and print many document types (e.g. Microsoft Office programs), but cannot print pdfs. The printer just doesn't respond. I am on a Windows 7 computer and have updated my drivers and Adobe Reader. Can anyone provide me some pointers on how to get this to work? Brother won't help with this issue, as they say it is a problem with settings in Adobe. Help would be much appreciated.

Hi, I noticed with update every time I close a PDF file I'm looking at it keeps open this page with showing 'home' , 'tools' at the top and a list of all the previously opened PDF files etc.  Any way to NOT have that page always remain open.  Getting annoying having to close it every time I don't looking at a PDF. Page showing below after closing any PDF file.  Thanks.
