Over the weekend, we updated to the newest version of Adobe Reader DC MUI (21.005.20058) in our offices. This morning, everyone was getting the following popup: Selecting "Open Reader with the AppContainer disabled inside Protected Mode" and clicking OK allows us to open Adobe, but as soon as you re-enable AppContainer then restart Adobe Reader, the popup returns. This happens opening the app directly or opening PDFs both on machine and in network shares. We haven't changed anything in our policies recently so we're not sure what the cause could be, and searching online, this seems to be an on-and-off issue with no clear fix and not necessarily related to this updated. Any suggestions of solutions to try would be appreciated.
Files Synced to a computer via the OneDrive client may either be synced locally or may not actually exist on the local machine to save space and bandwidth. When a user double-clicks on a file in Finder (MacOS) Finder, something prompts OneDrive to Download the file before Acrobat is prompted to open the file. However, if the file is not local and it is opened from within the File > Open menu of Acrobat, nothing happens. If Acrobat is logging an error, I couldn't find it. Honestly, I'm not sure what is supposed to trigger the download. Hard to call this an Acrobat bug, but maybe Adobe could make it work. My workaround is to mark the entire sync folder to "Always stay on this device" as my PDFs are scattered in many folders. MacOS Sonoma 14.1 (23B74)Adobe Acrobat Pro 2023.008.20458
Just doesn't work, a year ago I was able to sign completely fine, use the app as intended, read, zoom, no issues. Now it just doesn't work, every time I try to sign it prompts up an error message or just takes an insanely long time to load. Starting up the program is a gamble between working and being stuck of loading. I tried uninstalling an reinstalling to hopefully fix my issues, and it just completely broke.Adobe just gets worse by the year and I wish there were better alternatives to Adobe over all.
In Adobe Acrobat Reader for MS I cannot get the Fill and Sign icon to appeasr in teh tool bar. When I go to customise toolbar it is checked but it won't appear in the bar
When some people at my work attempt to sign documents in adobe acrobat reader DC their names is unreadable. I think I have tracked down the problem to a font but I'm not sure how to fix it. It seems the problem computers do not embed the font into the PDF when signing but the working computers do. No matter how much I search I have not had any luck finding out how to fix this. I have even reinstalled a few times. Has anyone seen this before? Thank you
I've downloaded Adobe and I'm still getting this message while trying to open this file. I opened it on my work computer just a few hours ago, but now I can't seem to open it as I try to do this from my personal. What could possibly be the issue?
O Adobe PDF está muito lento, meu computador é ótim, porém percebo que quando abro o PDF o computador trava, editar arquivos também está travando, inserir imagens tem travado também, sabem me dizer o que pode estar acontecendo ? como resolver ?
Dear developers,Old versions of Adobe included the ability to use the "look up" feature that would redirect to the dictionary.reference.com website. This feature was removed in the most recent update. This is terrible for those of us who are not native English speakers and need to improve our English vocabulary. Is there any possibility that this feature will be returned to the program? If not, it would be better to use another application that offers this alternative.
Hi,I am adressing an old problem where, when a user logs off from an RD server, his temprorary profile (mounted user profile disk in this case) in C:\Users\ isn't deleted because there are files stuck on the following path: C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Temp\71\acrobat_sbx The files have a Z@XXXXX.tmp name, where the XXXXX are random characters. The in the path 71 appears to be a random number. I'm having difficulties in reproducing what exactly goes wrong and creates these files there. It looks as if it doesn't occur with every PDF (we get a lot, being a printing company) and earlier documentation on this suggests it happens when a PDF is getting printed. With administrator rights I can delete the orphaned profile folders, perhaps even automate the process, but I'd rather see that this didn't happen at all.Searching the net results in articles that claim a certain update has solved the matter, only for it to arise again, like a phoenix from the ashes, after a whil
Hi,Can the team account admin see and access the documents that I open or edit with my Adobe reader? Thanks
How can I increase the mouse wheel vertical scrolling speed in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC? Mouse wheel activated vertical scrolling speed for all of my other Window 10 desktop programs is sufficiently fast. But Acrobat Reader DC is rather slow. And consequently it takes a lot of extra spinning of the mouse wheel to scroll vertically. For this reason alone, I strongly prefer using Microsoft Edge as my default PDF reader.
Hi there, my Adobe Acrobat Reader has been doing something wrong recently, it just happened today, when I was trying to write on a document using my pen tool, right after I touched the screen with my finger to write, it immediately changed it to the select tool, and it is continuously doing this, which is really frustrating if I am trying to do my work. Can someone help me with this issue or send me some guidance steps, please?
Is there anyone who can help me cancel the Adobe subscription? I tried to do that manual thing and it's not working. I have been trying to cancel this subscription ever since and it's refusing. Is there anyone who knows the contact details I can use to get any account canceled?
Hello all, I have noticed that Acrobat Reader (free version) crashes when clicking on a field in a PDF. However, it doesn't crash if you wait a bit until the "Free 7-day trial" prompt pops up on the bottom left. Only then can you edit the PDFs as normal. Selecting Menu > Disable new Acrobat Reader seems to fix the problem. I have tried multiple PDFs and the issue only happens with forms that have fillable fields and not static PDFs. Opening Acrobat by itself and then selecting the PDF from the recents list also is a workaround. This issue happens when opening the forms directly. I am running Windows 10 Pro 22H2. I have tried reinstalling, repairing, disabling security features like Protected View, as well as the various registry edit tweaks discussed in neighbouring threads. Nothing seems to have worked. Version of Acrobat Reader: the latest January 4th update, 2023.008.20458 Thanks for your help
I got a new laptop so had to download acrobat reader to it, and the latest version is so user-unfriendly that I cannot use it for my work. I can't even find simple functions like enable scrolling, sizing, etc. How can I find and download the older version? (version 2023.008.20458 according to the info on my old laptop). Thanks
Was ist passiert?
Every time I try to open a PDF I get a pop-up with the Adobe logo that says Welcome back. (I just opened a PDF a day or two ago so I have not been "gone.") It then lists an unfamiliar email address under "Personal Account" and says that I've previously signed in with that address. Um, NO. And it invites me to sign in with another account/PW. This just looks suspicious to me, like it could be malware. (I am using a Mac.)There's a red close box in the upper left corner but it doesn't work. The only way to disable this is to force quit but then it appears again if I try to open a PDF. I will try to attach a screen shot.Does anyone know if this is legit and I should just enter my actual account email and PW to get rid of it? Thanks.

Hi All, I have a question. When I print a pdf from my Adobe, lets say its 5 pages. The First 4 pages will print quick and fine, then the last page lags. My printer is set up manually so I have it plugged into my computer. When printing once the 4th page is done I had to pull the cord out a little to have it print the 5th page. If I don't do that method it takes over a minute to print the last page. Even if I only print one page it does this. I hear the printer make the noise that it got the document it just doesn't print. I print on other formats too like Microsoft Word/Excel on the internet, even my email it prints all pages fine it is just with Adobe. Any help, or is it just my printer?
