Acrobat Reader

Why does Acrobat Reader require me to enter my password EVERY TIME I open the app? This happens on both my iMac (2021) and Macbook Pro (2015), all using fully updated software. It's become too annoying to use Acrobat Reader and I am now defaulting to Preview. But there are times I like to use Reader. 

Fit to width no longer works on latest Acrobat Reader updates, causing the arrow keys to not work also when using two-page view. I hope it gets fix, but meanwhile I need to be able to use it. Where can I get an older version of Acrobat Reader?

Hello, I have an alert message that appears as soon as I open a PDF document telling me that my acrobat license will expire asap.Is there a way that this error message stops appearing everytime I open a document because it is a little bit annoying.. thank you

Hello,I am having an issue validating some signatures while using Adobe Acrobat Reader.I have a digitaly signed pdf document that appears as invalid on Acrobat Reader DC but appears as valid both in iText and FoxitReader.When I open the file in Adobe Reader DC and validate the signature i get this message:Error during signature verification.  Error encountered while validating:  Error encountered while BER decoding:When I try to access the certificates by clicking "Certificate Details" nothing happens.On the other side, whenever I validate the signature with either FoxitReader or iText the signature appears as valid and I can access the certificate chain used for the signature.The certificate is not a "signing certificate" (e.g.  Certificate doesn't have the "non-repudiation" or "digitalSignature" Key usages), which we purposely ignore for this signature. Also Acrobat Reader would give a diferent error if such was the only problem. Additionaly, if I corrupt the hash used

I am using Adobe Reader 9.1.3 and everytime I open a document, the mouse cursor is always "select tool". Even if I change it to "hand tool", the next time I would open the same or even anyother document it would again be "select tool". I need it to remain as "hand tool" everytime should I open the document.I tried searching for a sort of default preference but couldnt find any. Tried searching for any old thread but there is one which is for version 8 and doesnt help at all. I cannt find the preference directory in version 9.Thanks very much.

I have two, multipage pdf documents that I'd like to splice together. I want to 1 page from docA, 1 page from docB, and repeat for all of the pages. Is there an easier way to do this than manually?

This addin is missing from my Macbook - this happened when I uninstalled all traces of Adobe Acrobat Reader last year because I was having a different problem with Adobe. Now I have already reinstalled both Adobe Acrobat Reader and the Office suite, but the addin is still missing from Powerpoint and therefore I cannot export accessible PDFs. Can I download this addin anywhere and manually install it for Office?

An Adobe Support session to fix the "Convert a pdf to Excel" program I subscribe to resulted in my files being moved to Adobe Cloud and not available when I click on "My Computer". How do I move all files, both Document and Download out of Cloud and back to storage on my Windows 10 hard drive with Microsoft Edge browser?Thanks!

I have posted this as a reply in a different post.  However none of the solutions presented in that post have solved my the problem. I've created a form for work and have been getting this error message sometimes, but not all the time.  The form requires three signatures.  I've been testing out the form by signing all three spots myself.  The second signature spot contains javascript to send an email and make the reset button invisible.  The final signature makes everything read only.  Is there a solution to the HFT error message???We don't use drop boxThere are no hidden filesI've tried saving it as different file names. (changing 1 or 2 letters or changing the name completely)I've tried saving it in different locations. I don't know if this will help, but the form will be utilized in the following manner:Download it, fill it out, sign it, and email to supervisor.Supervisor will review and sign it then email to procurementprocurement review

I am trying to verify the digital signature in this file https://www.dropbox.com/s/5msr6h8y8ct8xr9/archivoFirmado.pdf?dl=0 and I am getting a "BER decoding" error. It also happens when I open the certificate properties in the digital ID's into the properties option.Is there any way I can found the exact cause of the problem? The PDF generated by digitally signing in Adobe Reader is showing as LTV enabled in Adobe Reader, even if the checkbox for "Include signature's revocation status" while signing is disabled in Preferrences > Categories > Signatures > Creation and Appearance Preferences > When Signing. Is it a bug in Adobe Reader?

Why does Reader jump from page to page was scrolling with mouse wheel or cursor keys? I want to be able to see across the page boundary so continuity can make sense. Maybe I'm trying to look up how to do something and I want to see the bottom of page 12 and the top of page 13 at the same time. I CAN'T DO THIS ANYMORE!!!!  I have tried every setting in "Preferences" - one up continuous, two-up continuos, automatic, etc. NOTHING WORKS. It is so annoying. I am running Continuous Release Version 2023.006.20380 64-bit. Please help

I have just got two new windows PCs running windows 11 and have the same issue on both with Acdobat DC where when a document is opened a white popup apears that won't go away and the only way to close the app is with task manager.

Dear community,I used the highlight tool to save many parts of a book I was reading in Adobe Acrobat Reader. However, when I went to the comments section, where it normally saves all the highlighted text as pieces of comments, only parts of the highlights were saved as text excerpts. The rest appears just as 'highlighted text' without the text excerpt. Thus, when I request a file only with the excerpts from the comment section, obviously only part of the excerpts appear, and the rest is just an indication of a highlight. So, what should I do to resolve this?

Bonjour, Il semblerait que la version « Reader 2023.006.20360 for Mac » ne soit plus à même d’afficher des PDF complexes, contrairement à la version précédente « Reader 2022.001.20112 for Mac ». En effet, l’affichage du plan des bus de Paris prend un temps fou en zoom 75% ou 150% avec Reader 2023.Alors que c’est quasiment immédiat avec Reader 2022. Et ce n’est pas un problème de mémoire disponible car le constat a été fait ce jour sur un « iMac Retina 5K, 27 pouces, 2020 » sous macOS 13.5.1 & doté de 88 Go de RAM (63,31 Go disponibles). À part réinstaller la version 2022, ce que j’ai fait, que peut-on faire ? Merci d’avance,Benoît

Hello,we are having a strange situation with different Adobe versions and what each version considers a LTV Enabled signature.In 2017 we were signing PDF documents with a timestamp from a TA and the data from CRL and OCSP check embedded in the digital signatures. This resulted in a signed PDF document that Adobe displayed as : LTV Enabled .  (unfortunately I cannot give you the version number of the Adobe DC instance used at that time)We are having some problems with the OCSP service of the CA of our document signing certificate, so we have been signing with timestamp and CRL embedded only.When viewed with Adobe 2017 (2017.12.20098 and 2017.12.20044) we have the following results for some test PDF's:No CLR/ No OCSP (only timestamp)  -> Signature Valid / Not LTV EnabledCLR / NO OCSP -> Signature Valid / LTV EnabledNo CLR / OCSP -> Signature Valid / Not LTV EnabledCRL / OCSP -> Signature Valid / LTV EnabledSo the presence of embedded CRL data is enough to get a LTV

When I use the "Search" function, the text is highlighted with a light blue color. How can I change this setting to red by default?

Hello there,I've been trying to download Adobe Reader since yesterday.And no matter which version (english or other languages) in 64 bit for bot Win10 or 11, when trying to install it I got a warning saying "Publisher: Unknown".The MD5 hash is:477a0262ba3945377a277c062c684cb0 This is flagged on Virustotal as a malware by Crowdstrike.Do you experience the same issue too and has it already been reported ?
