Why does the adobe reader uses 400 MB RAM for a simple 4 pages document? Please help me fix it..

Helpt!  I have a MACos and Brother MFC-L5800DW printer which I have been trying to figure out how to print mixed-size paper and to no success.  I have followed Brother step by step instructions who referred me back to the Application provider!  I believe that is Adobe.  Do I need a subscription in order for this feature to work, I am currently using the free version.     Moved this thread to the Adobe Reader community since the issue refers to Adobe Acrobat Reader and not either Acrobat Standard or Acrobat Pro - MOD.

I have tried to install Adobe Acrobat Reader DC on a brand new Samsung Galaxy Book. After setup the update installed Windows 11, I installed Microsoft Office professional 2021 and Chrome (now default browser). I noticed that Microsoft edge was defaulte PDF reader and  Adobe Acrobat reader was not visible in APPs.I started installation via Adobe website and installation did not complete with message "newer version already installed". After several unsuccesful attempts via website and microsoft store I had a look at the C-drive and have found folders containing Adobe incl install.exe file which started installation but showed error code 1406 unable to write to registry.I have contacted Samsung support but they have not been able to help.I have had a look on the adobe website but solutions are only available up to windows 2000.It appears that adobe does not provide chat support for acrobat reader.Any idea how to solve this issue?

We just updated to Adobe Acrobat Reader (Version 2022.003.20263 64-bit for Windows), and I can no longer edit Document Properties (Control D) in PDFs. All fields are grayed out. This is definitely Acrobat I'm using and not just Reader. It's a little confusing since DC (whatever that stood for) is no longer at the end of the app's name, so most of the discussions and questions about this issue are now kaput, since they refer to previous versions. If this isn't fixed, we can no longer post PDFs to our site, since we have strict metadata standards.

We have a fillable PDF form that emails the data. The form has been working for years. Uninstalling Reader and installing an older version makes the emailing feature work again. Updating to the latest version, makes it stop working. The email preference setting in Reader is set to a Gmail account. With Reader version 2021.001.20135 after clicking the submit button a browser window opens and allows you to log into the Gmail account and Reader creates the message in the Drafts folder (as it should). Upgrade to Reader version 2022.003.20263. Clicking the submit button does not open a browser window and does not create the message in the Drafts folder. This is easily reproducable. We have reproduced it on several machines (mostly Windows 10 Pro with all the latest Windows updates). Is this a known issue with a known fix being released? if so, when will the update be released? if not, how do we get it in the list to be fixed? In the meantime, is there a place where previous v

Hi, it is shown that Acrobat Reader can open IFC files. I have Acrobat Reader DC and can not open it, do I have to have some kind of extension?

We received a PDF file with hidden documents so I open the reader but I still could not find it.  The first time was easy so it was in attachment.  This time I just could not find it anywhere.  Can anyone assistance?  Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I use Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.  When I create a.pdf, I have always been able to send it via email from Acrobat Reader.  Now, if I click "Send...email" or even try "Send...with tracking", nothing happens.  In "Send...with tracking, it creates a link, but when I click "Email the link", nothing happens.  I am using Windows-10 with Outlook 2010.  This has always worked before.  I even reinstalled & no change.  Thanks. I am setting up digital signatures in Adobe Reader, and when using Fill & Sign, almost every user has the option to 'Save as a Read-Only Copy' except for one. This user only has the option to get a shareable link. How do I correct this issue?

Hello,As i preview the pdf files within the corporate's outlook email, i can only use limited tools i showed on below screenshot (previous page, next page, fit page). Is there a solution to enable more tools within the preview like the floating bar on acrobat reader already? Thanks in advance.   

i am diet nutritionist. i published many diet plan that are much appreciated by my followers.  i start a website some days before : ([Link removed by moderator]) . i try to embed my meal plan PDF inside posts. i found a plugin that work for it. When I try to attach the digital certificate to the pdf it shows the following errors :1. Below is some text that is distorted when I open this PDF in adobe acrobat. The text fine in Indesign and the PDF is fine at 100% or zoomed in. However, it's zoom out it looks a little distorted.

I'm using Reader version 2022.003.20263 64 bit in Windows 10. I have used Adobe Reader for many years as a built-in feature of WordPerfect, having converted many documents to pdf. In all these years of use, I never have encountered any problem at all except the occasional failure of Reader to render an odd typeface in italics, or something else relatively minor. This time, there was a problem. I created business cards with the Avery 8871 template and converted the document to pdf with Reader. It did not match the Avery template as originally created. I measured it and discovered that the pdf was 4% smaller in both dimensions than the original. What could have caused this, and how can it be remedied? Nothing like this has ever occurred before, including many previous uses of Avery templates to make business cards.

Hello,I need to make anonymous comments in a PDF using Adobe Reader. Could someone tell me how to do that? None of the instructions I see online match my screen. For instance, I don't see an "Author" tab anywhere. I saw that someone posted this same question about 8 years ago, and someone replied with a URL to a PDF that no longer works. I need to edit a pdf manuscript for a journal.  The journal recommended the "free" download of Acrobat Reader DC.  I downloaded it just fine, but found the editing capabilities to be limited to just being able to insert post-it comments on my Mac PC (OS 10.10.5).  When I clicked on "edit pdf" I found that I had to subscribe to Adobe Creative Cloud for $24.95 per month (or commit to a $14.95 per month for a year).  I chose the former and downloaded Adobe Creative Cloud.  I went back to the Acrobat Reader DC that I downloaded prior to purchasing a month on Creative Cloud, and did not find that I have the editing capabilities that I am looking for, such as adding new text, running a line through text that I wish to delete, etc. I can open the pdf document that I wish to edit in Acrobat Reader DC, but still only have the option to insert post-it notes.  How do I get to the editing stage?

I have always been able to access my Cloud document in my iPad Acrobat App.  Now there are only 2 docs showing.  I have 10 folders and lots of documents.  How can I get them to show on my iPad?Thanks

Hi, I downloaded the last version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC today. When I try to record an audio comment, it's not working. I can record it, my mic is working, but i can't hear it after. I know I'm not the only one with this problem. I'm on Windows 10. Thank you. 

I'm using several Adobe Stock multi-line vector images. One of them, for example, is 307258590. There are at least 50+ individual lines (actually they are shapes, but look like thin lines) making up the image. When I make a pdf of the image and open it, the image opens one line at a time, taking a full 8 seconds to fully display. Other than making a jpg or png of the image, is there a way to eliminate this problem? I will be using several of these kinds of images in a 100-page booklet and converting the booklet to a pdf. Pdfs of booklet pages have to open immediately. Attached is a pdf showing the problem.
