Acrobat Reader

I've downloaded a PDF and started adding text to it and suddenly ran into this issue (see image). Why is the text doubling in the fields, and why is the duplicated text so much larger? How do I fix this?

I've seen that I'm not alone in getting an "A newer version of the application is already installed" error when installing Reader DCI've tried using AcroCleaner, registering Windows Installer, installing C++ distributable, used MS Install and Uninstall support and nothing has worked so far.I'm running Win 10 on:Processor AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 8-Core Processor 3.89 GHzInstalled RAM 32,0 GBSystem type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processorPen and touch No pen or touch input is available for this display

Bonjour,J'utilise Windows 8.1 (2013), système d'exploitation 64 bits, processeur x64.Navigateur: Google chrome (version à jour).Lorsque j'ouvre un fichier, l'application gèle après quelques secondes et plus rien ne répond quand je clique pour imprimer ou sur le X pour tout fermer. Je dois passer par le Gestionnaire de tâches pour pouvoir sortir de l'application.Merci de m'aider à résoudre ce probleme.

With Abobe Reader DC 32 bits on windows 10 64 bits, directx acceleration is available in the 3d preferences of a 3d annotation.On the same machine but with Adobe Reader DC 64 bits, only software mode is available. 

Whenever I open up acrobat, I am asked to login to my university account which has been disabled since I graduated. There is no option to login with a different account or reset the software. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling which resulted in the same issue. Is there a different suggestion because I cannot use acrobat at the moment?

why do I get this message, as my credit card is still valid for years? 

I am attempting to search a long document for specific terms/words. I constantly get the dialogue box stating 'Adobe acrobat has finished searching the document. No matches were found.' Yet i am looking right at the word i am searching for on the doc. I just uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of Reader as I was having other problems. Those problems have now been resolved, but the search function now no longer works. I also checked for updates  and there are NONE available.  These are all docs which i have been able to 'search' previously. I attempted to uninstall and reinstall a second time and the same problem persists. I have also tried the internal 'repair' feature. My Adobe installation stops working with Windows 10.I have to use the repair tool embedded into the reader every time I use the reader.Any guesses?

Tengo un problema para visualizar documentos PDF.No es con todos los documentos, solamente con algun documento, cuando se abre, se ven carácteres raros.Tengo instalada la ultima versión gratuita de Adobe Reader DC.He eliminado la aplicación, vuelta a instalar, se ve bien, pero enseguida se vuelve a ver mal el documento.Este mismo documento que se ve mal, lo abro desde otro PC y se ve bien.Que ocurre?

Good afternoon,after a long period using only the 32bit version of Adobe Reader DC MUI, I'm considering to install the 64bit version on 64bit operating systems.To do some tests, I've downloaded both versions (32 and 64bit) of the same software from here (Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution) selecting the OS version, language (MUI) and dowloading the files. Sorry for aking but why the two applications have different names?32bit:64bit:Even the links on the desktops seem to refer to different software and this could create confusion among users.Thanks.

I'm trying to download and install Reader on a MacBook (Monterey). Searches all end up on the page quoted but it is impossible to download.Steps 1 and 2 are OK. Step 3 is dead and does not respond to clicks, which means the "Download" link on the right is inactiveI cannot find any way to install Reader.Any ideas? 

Hi,  I like Acrobat teader app. It's convenient and no Ad.   I didn't update all app in my phone because most updating make worse.   But I want to experience some new function in Acrobat Reader app.   So I did update the app in this March.   I only today know some problem when block for annotation set in upper,  other line or all.   Although solving this problem I now update app, problem is still.   PC version and no update app don't have this problem.   I hope this problem of Acrobat reader app solve soon.

Hello,Acrobar Reader DC is still not capable to open files with paths longer than 255 chars. This is a serious problem, and it's not a problem of the OS (Windows 10/2016 support long paths). The problem in details have been described in these topics:"Long path" capable? Why Adobe Acrobat cannot open files with filename longer then 255 character? Is there any plans to solve this problem?

suddenly after saving pdf's from same site for 5yrs+,using chrome to invoke acrobat and then attempting to save pdf using save as, started getting error:the document could not be saved. there was problem reading this document(110) if try to ms print to pdf, instead of save as, that also returns an error, ms bs error msg 'there was a problem'note if I change chrome to open pdf in browser, then trying to download it just hangs. the file opens in firefox and then it can be successfully downloaded therefore I'm not sure if its a chome problem, or a chrome-acrobat compatability problem, since the file itself appears to be a validacrobat file.it seems somehow chrome changes the content downloaded from the site in such a way to make it an error for acrobat?this suddenly started happening 6/1/22 after 5 years,  like something changed either in chrome or acrobat. 

HiWe have continual issue with the metadata within Adobe PDF files with the most recent update 2022.001.20117.Whilst the workaround is to open your PDF file using the Chrome web browser and then saving the file via the Print option, this should not be a permanent solution.Any other ideas on how to fix this??Thanks 

I noticed that some of my pdf files takes a long time to load when I use adobe reader. Most of the time it is only the first page that completely loads but others remain blank. But these pdfs can be opened using other pdf readers without any trouble. I'm hugely disspointed with this issue and surprised as to why this only happen in adobe pdf reader. If anyone can help I'll be very glad.

I have two problems with Adobe Reader DC that, I'm sure, are inter-related:Within Microsoft Outlook 2016 (O365 desktop version): If I try to preview a PDF attachment, I get the error "This file cannot be previewed because of an error with the following previewer: PDF Preview Handler." Double-clicking the attachment will open the file within Acrobat Reader DC as expected. The PDF file icon represents that Adobe is the default. Other previewers (Word, Excel and PowerPoint, for example) all show file attachment previews as expected. Furthermore, if I load a third party PDF viewing utility and set it as my default,  PDF attachments will view as expected. My conclusion, therefore, is that the problem is related to Adobe Reader DC.Similarly within Windows 10 File Explorer: If I select a PDF file, the previewer displays an error: "This file can't be previewed." The PDF file icon represents that Adobe is the default. Double-clicking will open the file within Adobe DC as expected. Again, o

I am reveiving the below message when trying to open a document from a chinese business partner. I have Adobe Acrobat DC, Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, & Adobe Acrobat Distiller DC at work. Hallo zusammen, wir erhalten von einigen Lieferanten PDF-Dokumente per Mail. Diese werden von deren Software vollautomatisch erstellt, u.a. von Crystal Reports. Vorweg: In die Erstellung der PDFs lässt sich durch uns also nicht eingreifen.Leider ist in diesen PDF-Dateien teilweise eine "Ansicht beim Öffnen" in den Metadaten vorgegeben, was bei uns die Fenster durcheinander bringt indem z.B. die Seitenanzeige und/oder Zoom-Stufe verändert wird. Teilweise werden sogar die Fenstergrößen und -positionen einfach verändert, wenn diese bestimmten PDFs geöffnet werden.Keine PDF-Datei soll irgendein Recht haben, bei uns derartige Parameter wie Fenstergrößen, -positionen, Zoom-Stufen oder andere Darstellungen zu verändern!Wir haben daher in den 'Einstellungen > Barrierefreiheit (denn für uns sind das leider Barrieren!) > Seitenanzeige überschreiben' entsprechende Einstellungen getroffen.
