When first using the pen tool on a document, the pen tool is automatically switched to the cursor/panning tool. On subsequent markups this doesn't happen. This wastes time every time I mark up a new drawing in Adobe Acrobat DC Adobe Reader DC.Steps to reproduce bug:1. Select the pen tool under Comments2. Use the pen tool on the PDF3. Watch as the pen tool is automatically deselected and the cursor/pan tool is now active4. Re-select the pen tool5. Use the pen tool on the PDF6. Watch as the pen tool is no longer automatically deselected, and you're able to make multiple markups at a time, for now..7. Open a new PDF document8. Select the pen tool again.9. Use the pen tool on the PDF10. Watch as the pen tool is automatically deselected and the cursor/pan tool is now activeResults: Pen tool is automatically deselected and cursor/pan tool is selected, preventing a second markup.Expected results:Pen tool should remain selected until OPERATOR decides to select a different tool.
Hi, I am having problems with a fillable Adobe Acrobat PDF locking after some users save it. It is a form that is sent out to other users, who fill in the form partially, save it and then email it to me. After receiving the form I need to make further edits, but in some cases the form that I receive is locked and cannot be further edited. The form security is set to not allow signatures or comments. The users are filling the form using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (64-bit) on their laptops and they are not attempting to sign the form. The issue seems to occur randomly, with the form saving without issue sometimes, and at other times locking for the same user. This issue creates a lot of re-work for me because if the form is locked I need to create an entirely new form. Is there a way to fix this problem? Thanks!Tiffany
Hi everyone, we are experiencing an issue in our Terminal Server environment where existing Adobe Acrobat Reader installations automatically upgrade to Adobe Acrobat with a licensed user profile during RDP sessionsAlthough we have applied the attached registry entries to prevent this behavior, the upgrade problem still persists. We are looking for any additional recommendations to:Prevent any background updates or cloud promptsStop Adobe Reader from upgrading automatically to Acrobat during user loginsOptimize performance/stability in multi-user RDS sessionsBlock user sign-in prompts completely Thanks in advance for any insights or links!best regardsAlex
When I select the print function on an open PDF, Adobe becomes unresponsive. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times, updated my computer, and tried many different documents. Any solutions?
Hi,Everytime I try to open a PDF file.I will face the error like in the picture below.Yes, we can solve this issue by set up the compatibility mode.Anyway, do you guy have any other idea how to fix this?P.S. As I first check this issue will happend with Adobe Acrobat Version 25.001.20531 but If I downgrade my adobe acrobat Reader it will automatic upgrade to this version.
Everytime I use Acrobat (Pro) it takes ages to load up my documents, freezes, doesn't respond, looks like it's crashed. And it doesn't matter how hot the spec of the machine is, it has always run like a one legged dog - and it has for years. Can Adobe just strip back the bloat, the document Share feature, the pointless Ai trash and just provide a lean application that WORKS like it should. All my colleagues experience the painful grind of trying to use Reader or Pro. Can we have a ProLite that just has the needed features and works like programs used to back in the old days? Pretty please?????
I'm having the following problem with my reader: every time I open a PDF, I get a pop-up message saying "abnormal closing." I don't see the program closing unexpectedly, but I always close it normally. I also can't set preferences, like the dark theme. It doesn't save my preferences every time I start it. I've already tried updating my software, but initially it gave me error 100700. By following the forum and manually accepting the EULA, I solved the problem. But this other problem persists.I also tried reinstalling it after running the cleanup tool but nothing What solutions are there? Thanks.
Since the latest update of Acrobat Pro, I am no longer able to scan documents. The scanned documents appear completely black. My operating system is Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit. For a long time, Acrobat has been freezing while navigating between pages, forcing me to frequently close and reopen the application. After the most recent update, documents scanned for archiving purposes now display entirely in black. Navigating through the page thumbnails has also become nearly impossible. I urgently need a stable version of Acrobat that works reliably on Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit, along with a trusted download link. I would greatly appreciate your prompt assistance with this issue. Thank you in advance.
In Adobe Reader DC Version 2025.001.20577 64 bit, when I go to Edit>Preferences>Documents I put a check on "Restore last view settings when reopening documents" and I put a check by "remember the last state of the All tools pane when opening documents," the program never remembers the latter choice and I am unable to save the view of the document when opening my PDF's. I just changed to Windows 11 Pro from Windows 10 Pro. Adobe Reader DC works fine on my Windows 10 Pro PC. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.Marcm
I am not able to print PDFs from my MacBook - it says "document cannot print" "no pages selected" but all the usual print settings are set to what they've always been set to and i've never had a problem in the 10 years I've been using this program to print PDFs from a MAC. I'm running Sequoia 15.5 and the lastest version of Acrobat DC and I've been having all sorts of issues with it crashing unexpectedly, not printing, and a host of other issues.

I've been filling out IRS PDFs and saving the form data for YEARS. Now, with the 2018 IRS Forms, I'm getting the "You cannot save data typed into this form" error.I've tried this on both WIn 10 & Win 7, downloading the pdf file through every browser I have (Chrome, FireFox, IE, Edge)What gives? What am I doing wrong? Did the IRS mess up their forms this year? I can still open the 2017 forms, but the security properties look different on them. The 2018 files say Filling of Form Fields is allowed, but Page Extractions, Commenting, Signing, Creation of Template Pages, and Document Assembly is not allowed. Here is the link to a form I'm having issues with:https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f1065.pdf I tried downloading the trial of Adobe Acrobat DC to edit the PDF, but the Adobe download servers keep failing 1/4 of the way through the download. I may try again later tonight. In the meantime, any idea here? Am I doing something wrong, or is the only
I have a complete new instalation of Acrobat ReaderWhen I click on the Help -> Check for Updates menu item I get the following error: Update FailedUpdates have been disabled by your system policy.Error 100700 As I had a previous installation this was not happening at all.Further I cannot change the theme to Dark Grey, or better it does not stick - after restart its reverted.
Hi friends,I have a Microsoft Surface Pro 4 (2736 x 1824 Max_Main Display_12.3 in) with the extension monitor (1920 x 1080 Max_21 in approximately). When I open up Adobe in Surface monitor and drag to the extension monitor, the resolution does NOT adjust itself, and it causes the Adobe look like it's completely zoomed in. See below for reference. The confusion that I have is that for any other applications (chrome, microsoft office, or etc.), these programs adjusts itself into the Extension Monitor's display. See below for comparison. The bottom most picture will describe the difference in resolution clearly. Is there a reason why Adobe Pro Application Resolution doesn't adjust itself in between monitors? I don't have an option to match two resolutions. What is the suggested fix for this problem? Please advise
Hello, We are Qualified trust service provider and our last CA certificate published on European Trusted List in may this year is still not recognized by Adobe reader. Here is our new CA certificate: https://eidas.ec.europa.eu/efda/trust-services/browse/eidas/tls/tl/PL/tsp/9/service/12.I am signing by using button „use a certificate” then „digitally sign” and after signing the verification result is: Could you help us or forward my message to the right department of your company? Yours faithfully,

Hi! I need the highlighted green text field to match just the item name that appears when I pick it from the list. I have: var Addresses =this.getField("Stores").value;event.value=Addresses; in another text field, but I do not want those outputs on that green line. Just the list's item name. Don't know if this will affect anything 🙂

hi everyone,i'm experiencing a very annoying behaviour of acrobat reader on win 10, I usually work all the day having acrobat reader always open with 4/5 simple pdf files open, about a month ago I started experiencing this problem: suddenly, the cpu usage of the adobe reader process goes high, without any action or any new files opened or whatever, it just starts randomly, as you can see from this picture more than 20% of a quad core i7 7th, causing overheat and useless fan noise. pointless I can't really understand why this happens, I have the latest version installed, i always check and install updates, but nothing changes, I also performed the "repair installation" tool and I also uninstalled it completely then reinstalled. It's very very annoying, all day it works normally then suddenly starts doing that. If i close and re-open it sometimes it keeps working normally, sometimes the problem reappears in a while.
