Hello guys,I have a really strange issue with Adobe Reader ( version Adobe Reader 25.001.20435-x64 - automatically updated when a new version is released). So what is the issue:- windows version - 10 or 11 ( Windows 10 22H2 and Windows 11 24H2) - windows server 2022 Datacenter - used as file serverOn clients with Adobe Reader, users have absolutely random issue by opening pdf files from mapped drives. I've tested it multiple times by different users, differents OS, different folders, different subfolders, different sizes. Sometimes in the same folder we have some files which are opened by double click and some by double double click. It is totally random. There is no error message, no mouse clock or something. You double click and nothing happens. No events were logged at that time. File assignment is set to reader (I've double checked). And here comes the strange thing - If I use Adobe Acrobat Standard 2017 version 17.011.30180.12503 there isn't issue at all. Same f
Hello,I am having a problem with Reader DC in Windows 10. Everytime I open a PDF i get a pop-up asking to make Adobe Reader my default PDF application. I cannot get this message to go away. Adobe Reader already is the default PDF application. I have tried checking the box that says Don't ask me again and selected No, I have selected Don't ask me again and clicked Yes. It still comes back the next time I opena PDF. I have tried going to the preferences and removing the check from the box 'Tell me if Adobe Acrobat Reader is not my default PDF application'. I still get the pop-up. I have tried altering the registry to add the DWORD "iAppDoNotTakePDFOwnershipAtLaunchWin10" and set it to 1. No matter what I do, the pop-up will not go away. Does anyone have any ideas what else I can try?
I am seeing exact issue which explained in this article : Using Microsoft Information Protection plug-in for... - Adobe Product Community - 10991890 I am not sure why external and guest (both type of users) having this broken UX? I need to have a solution as recipient of MIP protected file won't accept such poor UX and defeat purpose of protection, such poor UX leads user to not to protect and avoid using MIP.
Hi there, I'm having an issue since the last update that now when I go to enter comments to a PDF, the comment entry box only shows the last line typed; this is the same after posting the comment and I click to open the comment in the main PDF window as well as in the sidebar; only the last line typed shows up. However if I hover over the comment, you can view the comment fully, and if I open the PDF in Acrobat online it will show the full comment when the comment is opened in the PDF or in the sidebar. It appears to be a glitch in the desktop version. Thanks for any help anyone can provide.
I have a JAWS user that is unable to do specific tasks within Adobe Acrobat Pro following a software update. When the user attempts to search within a PDF document, the search results are not read for her and she’s unable to navigate through search findings correctly. We are currently using JAWS 2024 and Adobe Acrobat Pro 25.001.20531. All accessibility settings have been checked and set properly. Are there any current workarounds until a fix is in place? This is for a visually impaired user.
I use AAPDC for work and the comments function is a necessity for what I do. Any files I have with comments is acting slow, freezing, not displaying the actual comments fast and on occasion freezing up and crashing. My system is rather robust as it's intended purpose is to be a gaming computer, it is also only 2 weeks old and only has MS office and Pro DC on it as that is all I use for work. Windows 1016 Gig Memory Ryzen 7 AMD ProcessorGaming Graphics CardCan you guys suggest anything? My documents typically have 1000+ comments and a project that would take an hour or so to review is taking multiple hours with several reboots.Thank you, MC
Currently we have Acrobat Reader DC installed on a Windows 2012 R2 terminal server, and due to a recent update, are encountering an issue with the Adobe Update Service continually failing - this causes a prompt to appear for any logged in user. It appears that in recent updates to Adobe Reader that the "Updater" tab within preferences has been removed. Attempting to disable the Update Service in Local Services does not work, and setting this to Manual or Disabled does not stick for more than 30 minutes. There is also a scheduled task for the Adobe Reader Update Service in Task Scheduler that attempts to run the Update Service everytime a user logs on - disabling this only lasts for 30 mins before it resets to enabled with its default settings. Is there a way to disable Auto-Updates for Acrobat Reader on a terminal server?
Hi, So Adobe Acrobat Reader just updated for me. I appreciate the updates, and Adobe's reader is the best PDF reader out there. But I have a feature request. Please allow me, in the Preferences editor, to tell Acrobat Reader to stop re-installing and re-enabling plugins in other software packages (such as Chrome, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) that I never asked for and have switched off (I switched them off, of course, because I don't want them!). I have attached a pretty rough sketch (I'm no graphic artist) of what it could possibly look like. I would be deeply grateful if Adobe could accommodate this request.
How can I download Adobe Acrobat Export PDF please? I have it on another PC and want it on my new one but it isn't included in the adobe cloud when I downloaded it? I presume I can have it on two PC's as long as I only use it on one of them at a time like Dreamweaver? Thanks
Dear Adobe Team, I’m a lawyer in Taiwan and a long-time user of Adobe Acrobat Pro. First of all, I want to express my appreciation for the Acrobat ecosystem—it has become an essential part of my daily workflow across mobile, desktop, and cloud platforms. The seamless integration with Google Drive, Adobe Scan, and desktop OCR tools has greatly streamlined my document processing tasks. That said, I’ve noticed that the OCR accuracy for Traditional Chinese in Acrobat still has some room for improvement. While it works decently with standard printed fonts, it struggles with older typesetting, legal documents, vertical layouts, and names with uncommon characters. These are very common in court files and scanned government documents in Taiwan. I truly hope Adobe can enhance the OCR engine’s support for Traditional Chinese—perhaps by incorporating more region-specific language models or expanding the training set. We in Taiwan are loyal users of Adobe products. A better OCR

Hello,My Brother HL-L5100DN(T) stopped printing PDF (only) documents on both sides. The Print screen does not show the Print on both sides option. Office documents print fine on both sides.I checked with Brother support and in their opinion the problem is in Acrobat reader.I uninstalled Acrobat and downloaded a current version and installed it, still the same problem.I can sen screen shots that show the difference in the print options (Word and PDF).I would greatly appreciate some help with this issue. Thanks in advance Joe
On a Horizon VDI desktop, users single click on a PDF file to preview the file in the preview pane on the right. The file does show up in the preview (as shown in the attached file named Screenshot 2025-05-29 100913.png) however the error below also occurs: Windows cannot find 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\AcroTray.exe'. Error is also attached as NDavidson+Adobe+Error.pngUser clicks on the error and is able to open the file fine, the error is just annoying and really should not be happenng. Reader and Acrobat DC are both installed on the image. The setting "Enable PDF thumbnail previews in Winodws Explorer" is enabled in Reader. See Screenshot 2025-05-28 170603.png How do we stop the error about the AcroTray.exe from occuring?
Reading, writing, and editing Comments and Sticky Notes is extremely frustrating. When I receive PDFs with Comments from other people, I can barely navigate the file because Acrobat runs so slow. The Comments do not display when I hover over them, I am forced to use the Comments bar and even then the delay to move from one to another is terrible. Similarly, when I add Sticky Notes to a PDF I have to wait a long time before the text I typed appears. The delay is quite bad. I typed the following in a Sticky Note and waited 12 seconds for it to appear: "You ask me if I love you and I s a"I'm running Windows 10.I have the latest version of Acrobat Reader DC: 19.010.20091, February 12, 2019I tried Repair Installation 3 times today.I cleared the Enable Protected Mode at startup, and Enhanced Security check boxes.Nothing works.Short of uninstalling and reinstalling, is there anything else to try?
After making comments in my own PDF, I shared that PDF (with my comments) for my colleagues to further edit in review mode. I'm able to resolve, edit, and delete new comments that were added after I shared it in Review Mode, but I'm not able to resolve, edit, or delete comments from the original PDF (added before I shared it). Those options are grayed out when I right click on those original comments. Is there a way for me to enable the "Resolve, Edit, Delete" option for comments from the orginal PDF so I can engage with both old and new comments while in Review Mode?
I had the free version of acrobat on my computer. My wife logged in to her Pro version on my computer, then logged out. Now I can't get into the free version (which is all I need) because it keeps saying to buy or start a free trial which I don't want to do. We have logged out, uninstalled and reinstalled the free version, rebooting the computer and clearing the casche. Any suggestions? I only need a reader for bills that come in for the non-profit I volunteer for. I do not want the paid version. Thanks.
Hi!I'm having trouble converting a PDF to Word (or any other format for that matter). It comes out with symbols and not letters. And the txt is not readable, the tables are empty. It seems there is something wrong with the format.Anyone? /Kjersti
Hi, this is my first time posting, and I'm having trouble with the Search function on Adobe Acrobat. You can see in the image below that when I use the Search function, it no longer highlights the text in blue; it "highlights" the text searched by only changing the font color to navy blue (please see the word "promotion" on the second line below and contrast it with the rest of the text). It's very difficult to find anything this way, and everything I've seen implies that the Search highlight feature is not customizable. I'd love some help with it if someone could offer advice. I'm using a MacBook Pro. Thanks in advance!
The select tool does not work properly, even though the document properties security settings include no limitations. This applies to text scanned documents (documents where Adobe has identified text). The cursor looks like a crosshair and when you try to select text you only get a rectangular shaped box of the content as a picture, not the actual scanned text.
There is a PDF form that includes fillable fields. I’m able to fill out and save the form without any issues. But when I send the form to others, they can see the filled details in a web browser version after waiting for a while, but not when they open it using Adobe Reader. The strange part is that the filled-in information appears in the file preview, but when they open the document, the content disappears and the form appears blank.
請問有24.003.20112的版本在 Windows 上使用適用於 Acrobat Reader 的 32/64 位元字型套件和拼字字典套件嗎最新只找到23.008.20421的版本
Hello Adobe Community,I run a print shop and have recently started experiencing an issue with Adobe Acrobat. For the past two weeks, whenever I open blueprint files from customers—most likely created in AutoCAD with comments added—Acrobat displays the comments as large black boxes all over the document. This problem only started recently. I have the latest version of Acrobat installed. I've tried disabling the “Show Comments” option in Preferences, but after restarting the computer, the setting resets and the option is enabled again. This issue is affecting my work, and I would really appreciate any help or guidance you can provide.Thank you in advance!
Just installed a new HP Envy 6152e printer on my MacBook Air Sequioa 15.5 computer. Black&White and Text scanning in Acrobat is fine. Color scanning always returns "The selected Color format is not supported." Only the ICA format can be used!Suggestions very welcome - Thanks - Jef
Hi, I wanted to make changes to a PDF file. When I clicked the edit button, I was prompted to download another version of Acrobat Reader. So I accepted the terms and conditions. Then it started to download. When I click on the "modify PDF" button again, I get a message like this (I translate from French): "Other tool components are being installed. We will notify you when you can use the tool." This is absolutely ridiculous. It's 10:07 pm. The download must have started around 10:00 am. Why is the download taking so long? If anyone has any information on this, it would be appreciated! Thank you very much, Guillaume
Im tagging a document, and when i run the checker, it says I have untagged content. However, the highlighted elements are page spaces. What do I do?
